Just when we thought we had our quota of hoax e-mails, there popped another one. And this time its about Amitabh Bachchan gifting a house to his son and daughter-in-law. The pictures look believable until you see the signage on the building and accessories like towels that are a give away. The pictures doing rounds in name of Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan new home gifted to them by Pa is in reality a boutique hotel called Love Boutique Motel in Taiwan. The place is flamboyant,the interiors larger than life and the location a dream.

The pictures are so good, we are betting Pa just might buy this place!

And this is not the first time we have received such mails.

Light locations has got bolder with their recently purchased all-white-property which is a studio cum event space. Known for purchasing some of the hottest properties in town, Sophie Hitchens has raised the bar ten times higher for her competitors.

White is such a flexible color, the renters will have no dearth of ideas. White being the only color in the room can be conjoined with other colors of furniture of other colors, depending on the usage of the space. If this place is an art exhibition room it can have pictures, murals and antiques adorning the walls and the shelves provided. If this is a Yog studio, it would be a runaway success for the amount of sereneness and positivity the white color can bring out in a person.

This property by Light Location’s is a smart purchase and we are sure it will rent out like hot cakes!

Yeosu hosts the World Expo 2012 and it has already started inviting architects to come up with layout plans. Based on the theme ‘Living Ocean and the Coast’, there are some outstanding ideas presented by some of the best architects in business. Every concept has used the power and beauty of ocean as central to the theme. The awesome imagery sculpted by the architects for this expedition is larger than life and awe inspiring.

Each concept is a fantastic example of combination of science, technology and innovation. The water cube is a great expression of artists imagination of oceans coming alive. The vessel-like structure which can float on the water and the SuperOcean which looks like a part of ocean was raised are some of the many proposal submitted to the team at Expo 2012. VitraHaus: A Building With Many Views

VitraHaus, a german furniture manufacturing company has had architects Herzog and de Meuron design for a them an amazing place for the presentation of their collection. The building is unique in its concept as it takes inspiration from the typology of the houses in the locality. The end result is superimposition of twelve houses.

The insides of the house have the VitraHaus collection at display. Each room has a touch screen where the visitors can browse the catalogues. The place remains open from ten until six in the evening. If you can’t go visit you can atleast take a sneak peek into this Vitra.

Ways to Make Electrical Wirings Less Messy and More Classy

Wires lying around the house are a very common sight. As much they are difficult to hide they are equally inevitable to do without. Are you looking for some wire-handling solutions? Here are some that might just come handy.

How about this slimmed down plug which was a show stealer at one of the college art fests. Designer Min-Kyu Choi’s plug is just 10mm wide when folded and it can swivel out 90 degrees making itself compatible to be plugged into a normal 3 pin socket.

Use birds and leaves to camouflage the wires that cant be hidden behind furniture. The utility factor remains questionable but it does increase the aesthetic value of the room. You can get it here.

This work of art comes from a designer who believes in keeping wires – visible; a curvy multi power socket product called wirepod that, if looked from a distance, appears to be part of the floor design.

This one is far from being anything electrical. But appearances are deceiving and when they are as friendly faced they are surely welcoming. Hail electro man! (You can buy it here.)

A Nomad’s Dream Home – Casa No Gere

Portuguese architect Graça Correia and Italian architect Roberto Ragazzi have come together to produce an architectural marvel in the heart of Portugal’s only national park. Named Casa No Gere the house has won several accolades and has been spoken oh highly in the elite circles. The strict National Park rules led the architects to come up with a jaw-dropping concept where the house is built in a bar like structure.

For people who take eco-tourism seriously, this house is an inspiring example. On house-owners special request of not cutting a single tree and constructing it entirely in concrete Casa No Gere is a courageous feat. It has a kitchen and living room along with two bedrooms and a guest bedroom. The interiors are spacious and sober. The view of the house in the middle of the jungle is pleasing to the eyes. The lone structure in the middle of the stone ruins stands tall within the wilderness.

We know we have been featuring a lot of kitchens of late at Home-Designing. But nice designs like these just keep hitting us.

These scandinavian kitchens from Swedish maker Marbodal make use of the typical pale and cool color palettes that you normally associate with kitchens from this part of Europe. Most kitchens are predominantly white, with the surfaces sporting a matte and soft finish. The company has compiled its features in three different ranges namely Family for people with kids, Style for people who like to display their taste and Gourmet for the ones who love to cook and serve.
