I love shooting the rings. It’s that simple. I always make sure to fit in a moment to create a ring shot for my clients. I know there are some similarities her, but I always try to use my imagination to find a different way to photograph the wedding rings. These are shot with a variety of lenses. Most are with the Nikon 105mm VR and recently I’ve been bringing the 30 year old Nikon 58mm f/3.5 macro. Enjoy!

Charlotte+Ryan:Married Trophy Club Country Club

Charlotte and Ryan were in front of my camera first earlier in 2009 when we made their engagement photos in Grapevine. Their wedding was in November at the Trophy Club Country Club. Mastering the DJ duties once again was master DJ, Glenn Roush. Thank him for the cool blue up lights!

Dallas Wedding Photographer: Abbi+Mike

Abbi and Mike are obviously used to making great choices. First and foremost, they’ve chosen each other. Around them, you get a sense of simple correctness. They are just right.

After that I’m talking about all of the great choices they made in planning their wedding.

Wendy Kidd of Each and Every Detail will treat your wedding planning as if it was her own. Be sure to get in touch with her if want to out source the stress of your wedding planning. (She’s also a great lighting assistant!)

Glenn Roush of Glenn Roush Productions is my favorite DJ in the DFW metroplex. Glenn is great guy who spins tunes that his clients want. Every wedding I’ve shot with Glenn running the music has a different feel in the same way that all of my clients are each unique. You’ve got to hear his low profile pro Bose tower speakers. Super Clean!

The wedding was held at Chesnut Square in McKinney with the reception at the Grand Hotel. The Grand Hotel is on of the classiest places to host your reception in the entire Metroplex. I highly recommend paying them a visit.

McKinney Wedding Photography: Angela+Jason

I had the pleasure of getting to know Angela and Jason over the last half of 2009. As cool as they are, they real treat was getting to know Angela’s daughter Hanna. Being the father of a infant girl it fills me with hope whenever I get to meet such a smart funny little girl. Hanna is a terrific young lady!

Angela and Jason chose wisely and had a wonderful outdoor wedding at Stonebridge Ranch in McKinney. I love shooting at SBR because I know that my couples will be treated in first class fashion. Below are some photography tidbits from Angela and Jason’s day.

Dallas Wedding Photographer: Engagement Sessions of 2009

Engagements sessions are so important. Most importantly, I am able to create great images for all of these folks to freeze time as the are just before their marriage. Years and decades from now they’ll look back and remember themselves as they were. Almost as importantly, we get to know each other much more personally. I believe that life is built on relationships, on it’s no different between myself and my clients. I don’t want my couples to hope they’ve chosen the right photographer, when it comes to their wedding day…I want them to know they have. The time we spend on our engagement session goes a long way towards that end. Of, course don’t forget the super amazing guest books I get to design for them from all of their great pictures!

Dallas Wedding:Jess and Spence:Brookhaven Country Club

Jess and Spence are comfortable in their own skin. When two people have such a unique vision and they pick me to be their photographer…well…it’s a huge thrill. We met in December 2008 and I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day ever since.

If you’re a frequent visitor on the blog I’m sure you remember Jess’ very cool red wedding dress. Cutting the cake with a samurai sword has to be my favorite touch!

Plano Texas Wedding-Savannah and Pat

Duty, Honor, and Country.

Three words that mean so much to those in our armed forces and words that are truly a staple in the vocabulary of a man like Pat. A recent graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, and member of the Black Knights football team, Pat is now in training to pilot Kiowa Warrior helicopters for the United States Army. The sacrifices Pat and Savannah are ready and willing to make together humble me.

You’ve seen Savannah and Pat here on the blog both in their Engagement Gallery and in Savannah’s Bridal Session.

Savannah and Pat were brought together by the winds of fate and married at Hunter’s Glen Baptist Church in Plano on October 24th.

It was my honor to set aside a small measure of that day in photographs for the two of you.
