If your costume has a full face mask, we ask that you remove it before entering the credit union as a precaution and for the safety of other members.

Offices Closed on Monday, October 12 for Columbus Day

Both offices will be closed on Monday, October 12 in observance of Columbus Day.
All ATMs, Home Banking and Voice Response will be available for use. Offices will reopen on Tuesday, October 13 and will resume normal business hours.

This is a reminder that Member Appreciation is scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, September 16, 2009.

Financial Resources for your Kids

You'll notice some new images on the home page that link to new resources available for our members.
All four of these websites are geared toward educating young people about financial responsibility. The economy has pushed us all into thinking more carefully about how we spend our money and these websites give our young people the knowledge they need to smarter with their money.
Access to these resources are FREE to members of the credit union.

(ages 6-10)

Introduce your elementary schooler to important financial concepts by igniting their natural love of play with highly interactive games, stories, and more.
Kids can:

In case you missed it, we lowered our mortgage rates again to offer a 4.75% rate to qualifying members. Certain restrictions apply so you must see a loan officer to determine if you are qualified.

Mortgage Rates have been lowered!

We lowered our mortgage rates today to a new low rate of 4.75% for a 15 year loan!
Mortgage Rates for our 30 year and 15 year fixed were also lowered.

Ribbon Cutting for BB Comer Memorial High School Tiger Branch

Don't forget, next Tuesday marks the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for the BB Comer Memorial HS Tiger Branch. Ceremony begins at 10:25 on Tuesday, August 18th.
The Tiger Branch will be open from 10:25am to 10:55am on school days and will be accessible only to the teachers and students of BB Comer Memorial High School.

BB Comer Memorial School Branch Ribbon Cutting

Tuesday, August 18th at 10:25AM will be the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for our second high school credit union branch in the area.
The BB Comer "Tiger Branch" will be open daily to students and teachers from 10:25 am to 10:55 am, located across from the elevator and across the hallway from the library on the second floor.
The "Tiger Branch" at BB Comer will join the "Aggie Branch" at Sylacauga High School in being both a convenient access point for basic transactions as well as a financial learning opportunity for students.
The "Aggie Branch" has been used as a valuable teaching tool for financial responsibility as well as creating a work environment to prepare the students for future employment.
If you would like more information about either of our school branches, you can contact our Call Center at 256-245-4776.

If you are a student or teacher at the Sylacauga High School Aggie Branch, the hours for the branch have changed so that the branch will be open daily during 3rd Block.

This new certificate allows you to bump the certificate interest rate at anytime after the first 6 months to a newer interest rate. Make your plans to be at Kid's Day Blast!

It's that time, once again, for the annual Kid's Day Blast which is scheduled for May 30, 2009, from 9 am to 12 noon at Blue Bell Station.
There will be food, fun, games, and entertainment for all to enjoy this year.

We will have a couple of large inflatables for the kids as well as a dunking booth; you might even get the chance to dunk your favorite loan officer!
There will also be booths setup for Arts & Crafts, buttons, coloring, and more for the little ones. We will also have a police car and fire truck as well as entertainment by the All-In-One Dance Center Competition Team and vocal entertainment.

You can once again view your check images from the Transaction History of your Heritage South checking account.
Check Images are available from December 1, 2008 forward however any check images prior to that date can still be retrieved by contacting a member service representative.
Some merchants will turn a check into an electronic item so of course these will not have an image attached to them and will show a message when trying to view them. Some merchants that are known to do this are Wal-Mart, AT&T, among several others.
