Asako Kanda from Japan is Guinness World Records 2013 holder for having the largest collection of Hello Kitty items. She possesses 4,519 of different Hello Kitty items is featured in the new Guinness World Records 2013 book which is out now.

Her house is filled with Hello Kitty items ranging from Hello Kitty frying pan, Hello Kitty electric fan, Hello Kitty toilet seat and many more!. ^_^ [via]

Good news to all Hello Kitty fans that are going to Japan. The Japan Tourism agency has released a new Hello Kitty Japan Tourism iPhone app that provides guides you around Japan.

The app includes a collection of region with specific local themes and backgrounds which feature Hello Kitty. There are more than 50 types of regional Hello Kitty featured in the app. Travellers will find it fun to explore new places with Hello Kitty as your tour guide.

Besides that, this iPhone App has camera functions. where if you use this camera while in Japan, at specific location, special HELLO KITTY will appear on the screen. You can then take a picture with the special local Hello Kitty and save it in your phone.

The “Visit Japan with Hello Kitty” iPhone app is now available to download for free from iTunes.

Hello Kitty, the world’s most famous feline, together with famous NBA star Jeremy Lin (林書豪) wearing a Hello Kitty mask to evade paparazzi has gone viral. The latest video clip has more than 900,000 hits on YouTube and thousands of “shares” on Facebook.

The video chip was uploaded in less than 23 hours after posting the YouTube link on his Facebook page, Lin’s film clip had drawn more than 20,000 “likes” and had been shared more than 4,000 times.

Jeremy Lin, whose parents are Taiwanese, took "Linsanity" to the streets of Taipei in August, jumping in on a local game of streetball. Cameras filmed the game and preceding hotel "breakout" for a goofy and charming scripted video posted to the star’s official YouTube account.
