The Pacquiao - Mayweather fight may soon become a reality if both parties will agree. Series of tweets from Mayweather stating that he wants to fight pacquiao on 5/5/12 (before his scheduled detention July this year).
Though both camp didn't confirm anything since the deal is not yet sealed, One thing is for sure Pacquiao will fight on the first half of this year. And it would be very good if Its between the two best fighter of this decade.

Lets just wait for updates and hope for this fight to happen.

PPUR Underground River is now official New 7 Wonders of nature

Few weeks after unveiling the new slogan of DOT, Puerto Princesa Underground river has been officially declared as one of the New Seven Wonders of nature, making it second to be declared as winner next to Jeju Island.

Other five provisional winners which is currently undergoing verification process are Amazon, Halong Bay, Iguazu falls, Komodo Island and Table Mountain.

Based on the QS -World University rankings 2011/12, University Of Cambridge in London bagged the Top spot for 2 consecutive years followed by Harvard University. Only four schools from the philippines are in the top 700 and none of them made it to the top 200.

332 - University of the Philippines (ranked 314 in 2010 and 262 in 2009)
360 - Ateneo De Manila University (ranked 307 in 2010 and 234 in 2009)
551 - 600 De La Salle University (ranked 451 - 500 in 2010 and 401-500 in 2009)
601+ University of Santo Tomas (ranked 551 - 500 in 2010 and 501-500 in 2009)

Meanwhile, in the QS - Asian University rankings. Only 15 University was included in the list and only 4 University made it to the top 200 spot. After the contoversial "Pilipinas kay Ganda" last 2010, The Department of Tourism launched “It’s more fun in the Philippines" campaign to attract more tourist to visit Philippines. The campaign showcases the good qualities & hospitable character of Filipino People in addition to the tourist attactions which can be found in the country.

As expected, the campaign gained mix reactions from different people, making it the number 1 trending topic in the socal netwoking site twitter. Some expressed dismay because its the same as another country's previous campaign but many rejoice and expressed support.

Launching Party

Finally, the much awaited phone has been launched in the Philippines, the IPhone 4S . After several years of being exclusively offered by Globe, Smart finally gets a chance to offer the world's best selling phone.

The showdown begins last Dec. 15 (The day before the release of the much awaited phone) where Both Telcos arranged a bootcamp in two separate venue. Smart conducted the bootcamp in rockwell while Globe made it at the Ayala Museum. This was actually a trending topic in twitter for that day.

But which telco shines? . Well, as we all know Smart spent millions for this event. Aside from the party they also gave Imac, ps3 and xbox for the first 10 subscribers.

One of the easiest way to get your paypal account verified in the philippines is through the use of smart money. Any Smart subscriber could actually get a smart money through his/her cellphone, you just have to type Money to 232. By doing this you will get a Virtual Smart Money account. However, For you to be able to use this for Online transactions, A Physical card is needed! So how could you get a card?..

There are actually two types of smart money card.

1)Instant Card - If you want to get a smart money card instantly, then you may apply for this one just go to any Smart wireless center and tell the Customer Sales Officer that you are going to avail an Instant Smart Money Card. This card has a generic name "Smart Money" printed in front of it. Transaction fee for this type of card is P100.

2) Personalized Card - Personalized Card is the one with your name printed in front of it. You just have to wait for 7 days (For Metro Manila subscribers) and 14 days (For provincial areas).
Transaction fee for this type of card is P120.

Before Going to any wireless Center. Make sure to bring one valid ID.

where to get NBI clearance?

Getting an NBI Clearance (as of this writing) might be the most frustrating thing to do nowadays since all applications are considered as NEW. So if you want to get one at the city hall, be there as early as possible or you will get nothing!

But wait (hehe), is there's a site which is unknown for most of us where you can get an NBI clearance in just a matter of hour, Its in Robinsons Otis in Paco, Manila. The NBI Clearance center is located at the the 2nd floor.

The place is not popular but very accessible and you would rather go there than wake up early in the morning and wait for nothing.

How to get there:

LRT-UN Ave. then take a tricycle

Note: I got mine in less than 30 minutes. I arrived there at 1pm and got my printed NBI clearance at 1:30.

Anawangin, a breathtaking paradise

If you’re looking for an extraordinary adventure and also fond of seeing breathtaking sceneries then anawangin is a perfect place to visit. It is a white sand, crescent shape cove located at San Antonio, Zambales.

Unlike the famous beach Boracay, this place is not yet developed (and hope to stay as such to preserve its natural beauty). There are No resorts or Hotels to check-in so bring your own tent and be ready for camping. The best place to camp there is under the tall pine trees, though it’s too crowded during summer season. You can bring your own food (and don’t forget to bring plenty of water) or simply catch fish (sounds interesting right?). More or less you can do a survivor-like adventure if you desire!.

Though If you’re not an adventurous type of person and just want to visit or drop by at anawangin. You can actually stay in pundaquit (which is also a very nice place). There are lots of resorts there where you can stay.

How to get there
If you own a car or will rent a car, you can drive directly to pundaquit and leave it in any resort there. Otherwise, Take a bus to San Antonio, Zambales and ride a tryk going to pundaquit . Bus Fare ranges from P235 to P270 pesos and the tryk will cost you P25 - P50 per head depending on how well you negotiate with the driver.
From pundaquit, you can hire a boat that will take you to Anawangin which will take about 40 minutes. Boat rental is P1200 which is good for 4 people. However, if you’re physically fit and think you can endure the 5 hr. trek to Anawangin, you can do so and hire a guide for 500 pesos. Don’t do it yourself for there are information that there are wilds in that area.

It is advisable to prepare your itinerary before going there in order to avoid wasting time in decision making when you are already there.

Pacman hits the Hitman!

The long argument is over, as Manny "Pacman" pacquiao, again, has proven that he is the best pound for pound fighter in the world and taking the IBO light welterweight belt from Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton.

Pacman's speed and strength knocks out the hitman in just 2 rounds (Faster than the spreading swine flu virus.. hehehe :)). I actually didn't expect that it would be that short. I thought it would last for 8 rounds or even a 12 round fight. The Hitman is definitely strong for he takes lots of punches coming from pacman but lack of defense made him lose his crown.

Hope this fight has taught lesson to all not to underestimate their opponent. The world is round!, anything could happen. Be Humble and always keep your feet on the ground just like pacman!

Pacman really made every filipino proud for beating the Boxer from the west side of the world. Congratulation's again to the worlds Number ONE pound for pound fighter!!!!

It's been three years since my last post in this blog. Its sad that i missed a lot of things/event that i could have shared the world. But it's really hard for me to continue blogging during those years that i really need to focus on my studies and as well as facing personal and family problems.
