I know winter is still a couple of months off, but we are starting our prep for our ski trail system. Last year we added a couple of km of new trails and this year we are adding more. A new map will be available soon. We are also enhancing and cleaning up our existing system. This season we are planning at least three events. Our annual open house/ski free day will be the first week of January. Next we will again have a fundraiser doggie skijoring race to benefit the local Humane Society and finally we are hosting the Western States ski festival for Junior Nordic racers the 27th & 28th of February. Look to our calendar of events to get the latest as we go into fall.

An overnight rafting or fishing adventure is a great way for families to bond. Let a guide cook your meals, guide you down the river, set up the shuttles, so you and your family can enjoy time together without the stress of everyday life. Spend your days sitting back enjoying the scenery and sun. Spend your evenings enjoying the campfire, fishing or just plain relaxing. July and August are beautiful months with consistent warm and sunny weather patterns. Get out and play, without over exerting yourself. This is summer time in Glacier National Park.

Rivers are on their way down for the season. We have had some great fishing lately and it will only get better as we move closer to August. With the flows dropping, more holding water and warmer water temps only improve the fishing. Some great dry fly action is occurring on both the Middle and North forks of the Flathead. Guides have been out often with great reports. Glacier Raft Company’s full service fly-shop and guide service can answer all your questions and get you on the water. Call 800-235-6781 for the latest reports of the season.
