GRAD DINNER @ PIZZA NOVA
Wednesday, May 20 @ Pizza Nova in Hillcrest, 7 p.m.

SHABBAT DINNER AT UCSD
Friday, May 22 @ UCSD International Ctr., 6:30 p.m.

Join the Jewish student community at UCSD (students from all San Diego schools are invited) for Shabbat dinner and services at UCSD’s International Center. This is NOT a potluck, but a full hot dinner catered by Hillel free for students (non-students are invited to make a reasonable donation to Hillel). Shabbat services (Reform, Conservative, Orthodox) begin at 6:30 p.m.; community dinner follows. RSVP by Friday May 15 to grad@hillelsd.org. Rides & Smiles expanding

Jewish Family Service of San Diego is expanding its wonderful Rides & Smiles volunteer program (driving older adults to appointments; volunteers select at their convenience) to San Diego’s College Area soon. See below for more info.

On the Go – Rides & Smiles®: Now expanding to a new region serving the College and Del Cerro areas! (Zip Codes 92115, 92119, and 92120).

Volunteer to help open the car door for an older adult who needs you. Volunteer drivers provide rides to older adults to necessary personal and medical appointments. Hours are flexible—you choose who, when and where you drive. Volunteers receive mileage reimbursement.
Volunteer Orientation and Trainings will be held on the following dates at our main headquarters located in Kearny Mesa at Turk Family Center, 8804 Balboa Avenue San Diego, CA 92123

June 4- 4:30 p.m.
June 18- 10:00 a.m.
July 7- 4:30 p.m.

August 6- 4:30 p.m.
