Ok, raise your hands people – how many of you listen to Christian music artists. I am not talking about artists who identify themselves as Christians – I’m talking about artists whose CDs are found primarily in Christian book stores. Even when I identified myself as Wiccan, (I no longer identify myself as Wiccan) I still held onto my love for various Christian artists. I have several favorites, some still producing albums, some not.

Some of my favorites who are still producing new material are Casting Crowns, Avalon, Todd Agnew, & Mandisa. My favorite that hasn’t put out a new CD in a LONG time – in fact from what I understand her 3rd CD either never came out or only came out overseas – is Stacie Orrico. I have no clue whatever really happened to her, as when I found her official website, it hadn’t been updated in several YEARS. Yes, I said YEARS. You would think that they would at very least say that the site is on hiatus because she is not recording. But the last bit of news says that her album release had been postponed and apparently it never did come out. Kind of stinks because I loved her music.

Right now I will say that Casting Crowns is my favorite. They have 3 studio albums that I’ve been able to find, and each of them also has a live version that goes with it. I’m not a big fan of live CDs so I haven’t bought any of them, but I do have all three of the studio albums. They’re “Casting Crowns,” “Lifesong,” & “The Altar and The Door” for those who wonder.

So again – do you listen to Christian music? If you do, what artists do you listen to?? I’m just curious.

I Only Wish

For her birthday which is March 21, I bought my best friend 2 things that she wanted. The first was a digital copy of “The Message” – a translation of the Bible that she really loves – for a program called e-Sword. The other thing was a digital camera – it’s a Sony Cyber-Shot and I bought myself one of the same model. It’s a pretty good little camera – 10.1 megapixels. I like it anyways.

What I would have liked to have gotten her was a Nascar jacket, but since her favorite is Denny Hamlin and all I can find around here is Kasey Kahne, Tony Stewart, and Dale Jr, I had to give up on that one. Oh yeah, and Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.

Speaking of NASCAR – if you watch – what did you think about Carl Edwards’ probation as opposed to suspension? A lot of people say he should have been suspended but I don’t think so. Why? Because Brad Keslowski causes wrecks all the time and no one does jack squat to him for it!

Shoe Shopping

A couple of months ago my friends and I went shopping to get me a pair of good tennis shoes. I wear tennis/athletic shoes most of the time due to my feet being so messed up. It’s just easier to wear that type of shoe. Well, as we were shopping, a friend of mine’s advice kept coming back to me. She kept telling me to get a pair of skechers shape ups.

I did look into them but found one glaring problem – they don’t make them in wide enough sizes. Not even the men’s shoes were wide enough for me. So those were out. Then I got kind of upset with her though because she claimed that they’d be better for my feet and I needed to try and find a pair. I then informed her that the shoes I did get were the ones I was told to get by my podiatrist, who should know better than anyone what shoes are and are not good for my feet.
