Gray’s first full EP is located on one side of a 12″ split with The Zookeepers. The EP is entitled …And Those Times, Too. The Signals side features former Mae Shi-ers Bill Gray and Jacob Cooper along with Brad Breeck handling the production.

Cellar Hits is set to release the 12″ on June 18th. The digital release will be handled by their previous labels Moshi Moshi (in Europe) and Retard Disco (in the U.S. of A.). This here is track number six.

In The Red Records is releasing the debut recording from the Ty Segall Band a/k/a Ty’s touring band (featuring Mikal Cronin, Charlie Moothart and Emily Rose Epstein). The double 10″ LP is entitled Slaughterhouse and comes out July 17 (please note the CD is out June 26). It has been reported by Larry Hardy of In The Red that “this record will melt your face.” We have no doubts.

Aesop Rock‘s sixth LP and his first since 2007 is to be called Skelethon. It is set to released on July 10th via Rhymesayers. The album is his first wholly self-produced effort (with mixing from Joey Raia and plenty of guest appearances). This track showed up on line last week.

The band issued this statement regarding their new album:

Every sound on the album is made by us and our tools; tools created by us, used on no other recordings, and purposefully built for this project. This is real. Some of it is the band being in complete control — bending, shaping and building the songs and the sounds. Other parts are the band relinquishing control and letting the songs and sounds take over and produce themselves. We are not trying to reinvent ourselves, but simply push ourselves further in all aspects of our music.
