Few brands are more strongly associated with a single product than L.L.Bean. The iconic American outfitter’s public image is so firmly tied to the Maine Hunting Shoe that it changed the official name to the Bean Boot, a nickname earned over generations of use.

But there is another definitively American style of footwear that L.L.Bean played a significant role in popularizing. The camp moc stands right behind the Bean Boot within the brand’s history, and a new generation of the signature Casco Bay Boat Mocs comes with some notable upgrades.

L.L.Bean makes a wide range of moccasin-style shoes, ranging from the Wicked Good house slippers to the lug sole Allagash Mocs, but the Casco Bay Boat Mocs best fit the traditional boat shoe mold.

The Casco Bay Boat Mocs can be traced back to 1926, when L.L.Bean started selling rubber-soled moccasins with double eyelets and rawhide laces. A century later, the Casco Bay Boat Mocs II retain the classic look while improving performance with new materials in each layer.

The most notable improvement in the second generation of these legendary mocs is higher-quality leather for the upper. It is not disclosed which tannery the leather comes from, but it is noticeably thicker and stiffer than the previous generation, resulting in more durability.

The metal eyelets holding the rawhide laces, which wrap around the collar, are now larger and with the L.L.Bean wordmark.

Making the bed

L.L.Bean enhanced the comfort of its boat mocs with a redesigned, multilayer insole. A molded EVA foam base sits under a leather footbed.

The top layer molds to the owner’s foot with use, while the bottom layer provides cushioning.

The leather panel is perforated to assist with ventilation, and the whole thing is replaceable when it wears out.

Get a grip

You wouldn’t know from looking at it, but the outsole is improved as well. It is still stitched to the upper beneath the footbed, a staple of moc construction, and siped for sturdy traction on wet surfaces.

However, the rubber outsole is now lighter and more flexible, easing the strain on your arches as you walk.

Maine is home to one of America’s last great shoemaking communities. Brands like Rancourt, Easymoc, Yuketen and Quoddy are keeping the hand-sewn moccasin tradition alive.

L.L.Bean is unquestionably the state’s most famous brand, but the previous generation of the Casco Bay Boat Moc wasn’t living up to the local standard.

The Casco Bay Boat Moc II features a distinctive weave along the toe box that connects to the vamp, revealing traditional hand-sewn moccasin construction.

Microsoft’s latest generation of its Surface tablet, the Surface Pro, looks identical to its 2025-released predecessor. However, the newest models have been updated with Qualcomm’s X2 processors, which the company claims give the tablet up to 53 percent faster graphic performance and improved battery life (up to 15.5 hours). Unfortunately, the base models are $500 more expensive than their predecessors, and still don’t come with the Surface Pro Keyboard, which costs an extra $400. Available in three finishes: Platinum, Black and Dune.

Microsoft’s 8th-generation Surface Laptop doesn’t rewrite the script. It looks exactly the same as last year’s predecessors, with the big upgrade being that it’s been integrated with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon X2 chip. According to the company, this helps it deliver up to 58 percent more graphics performance than the previous generation. Additionally, the Laptop offers longer-lasting battery life: up to 20 hours on the 13.8-inch model and up to 19 hours on the 15-inch model. The big downside? Both sized models are significantly more expensive last years models.

As a diehard Knicks fan since the early 1990s, I am still in shock that the team I’ve loyally followed for as far back as I can remember has finally won a championship.

Kershaw has long been known to offer an excellent balance between materials, mechanisms and pricing with its everyday carry knives. Yet, even by this brand’s standards, the Kershaw Maneuver is pretty exceptional, especially given its value-to-price ratio.

This EDC blade isn’t going to break any records, but it’s also not going to break the bank (or even come close). And yet, it still has the build to be a rock-solid go-to everyday knife.

The MSRP of the Maneuver is $70, which is already pretty inexpensive. However, it launched with a sale price of just under $56, bringing the price down even further.

Yet, that’s not even the best part. While Kershaw sells it directly for $56, Blade HQ has it for even cheaper, bringing the total down to under $50. That puts this in a class among the most budget-friendly knives you can buy.

And you get quite a bit for that half a Benjamin, should you choose to spend it. While I wouldn’t call the Maneuver a performance superstar, the silhouette and ergonomics are very sound, the materials are more than solid for an EDC knife and it has numerous other features you’d probably not expect on such an inexpensive offering.

Honestly, most other knives in this price range have half of what this folder has to offer. Some don’t even have locks. Not only does this knife have a lock, but it’s a fan-favorite. And that’s just the start of it.

Deceptively indulgent

So, what do you get for your $50? Let’s start with the blade. It measures 3.13 inches and boasts a classic drop-point shape, offering plenty of versatility and cutting power.

It’s also built from 8Cr13MoV steel. Admittedly, it’s a budget steel, but that doesn’t mean it can’t perform. In fact, it is plenty durable and easy to put a razor-sharp edge on. In all honesty, most folks won’t notice a dip in performance, especially for typical EDC cutting tasks.

The handle may be arguably even better. For starters, the scales are crafted from glass-filled nylon, which is stable, durable and lightweight. But it also gets a lanyard hole, reversible pocket clip and a DuraLock (crossbar) mechanism (the real star of the show).

Between the lock, clip and dual thumb studs, this knife is actually fully ambidextrous, too, making it friendly to right-handed and left-handed folks alike. And that’s just the icing on top of this, frankly, exceptional budget-friendly cake.

Once occupants are ready to mobilize, the 21PL’s bed can be raised to open up the rear space of the van. This allows users to then reposition the rear passenger seats into a forward-facing for use when driving.

As profiled by Gear Patrol a few years back, South Carolina-based Quintin Middleton is one of America’s most talented and conscientious bladesmiths.

While his coveted creations typically fall in the culinary category (Santoku and San Mai chef’s knives abound), Middleton’s latest drop offers wider appeal.

Some monikers mean more than others do. They named this one Fero, meaning “the protector,” which appears to be Persian and/or Arabic in origin. 

Interestingly enough, in ancient Latin, fero is a highly irregular verb meaning “to carry,” which makes all the sense in the world for the rare folding knife from Middleton.

Anyhoo, this collaboration knife is true to the MMK brand in that it is of premium quality, and it looks as good as it performs.

Deployable via a low-profile rear flipper, the Fero also features a frame lock, a super-sturdy mechanism you often see in higher-end knives.

As for the handle, potential buyers are spoilt for choice, as the knife technically comes in six variants that are distinguished primarily by the scales (and secondarily by the blade finish).

While the Charger Daytona is meant to be the next generation of Dodge performance, it’s struggled because of its mammoth curb weight and stark departure from legacy.

As a result, fans have charged (sorry) the brand to restore the icon to its rightful V8 order. The Hemi isn’t back yet, but you better believe you’ll be hearing Hellcat whines soon enough.

All the same, it seems the Daytona won’t be going down without a fight. According to Stellantis’s latest announcement, the EV is now chasing a new kind of speed.

A new Daytona test mule

Namely, faster charge times. As part of their ongoing battery development program, Stellantis and Factorial have finally fitted a FEST semi-solid-state pack to a Daytona for real-world testing.

While solid-state technology has seen some application in the worlds of Chinese EVs and next-gen motorcycles, it has yet to land on a car stateside. In keeping with the novelty, it’s set to be a game-changer should it perform anything like past tests.

As part of their validation effort last year, Stellantis and Factorial achieved a recharge from 15 percent to 90 percent in a mere 18 minutes. By contrast, the current production Dodge EV takes around 27 minutes to top up from 20 percent to 80 percent.

Even more importantly, the FEST cells achieved an energy density of 375 watt-hours per kilogram. Mind you, that was over some 600 cycles and at temperature extremes ranging from -22 °F to 113 °F.

For context, most EVs equipped with lithium-ion batteries typically average around 200-300 Wh/kg. As such, Factorial’s tech heralds some big performance gains. Beyond improved charge times, the cells promise to be more stable and lighter to boot.

The change the Charger needs

Now, at this stage, the Charger in question is only being used to validate performance, safety and reliability. In other words, don’t expect one of these in a showroom anytime soon.

Still, assuming testing goes well, and Factorial’s FEST technology makes it to production, it would be an absolute godsend for vehicles like the Daytona. The weight savings alone promise a huge boost.

After all, improvements in energy density would mean the Charger EV could run a smaller (and thus lighter) cell to achieve the same total 100.5 kWh capacity.

In terms of hard numbers, Factorial’s website calls out a 40 percent reduction. The outfit has also previously suggested that a comparably sized Tesla battery could drop from 1,000 pounds or more to as little as 565 pounds using its technology.

Suffice to say, then, that would amount to a meaningful cut in the case of the Daytona, as it currently tips the scales at 5,800 pounds or more. If Dodge could somehow manage to get the muscle car down to less than 5,000 pounds, it’d be approaching the previous-generation Hellcat widebodies.

And that’s not even addressing the benefits Factorial’s FEST cells promise in range. For example, when the outfit worked with Mercedes-Benz to conduct an EQS road test last year, the automaker recorded a monumental 749 miles on a single charge.

More to come

As Stellantis and Factorial have only just started real-world development, semi-solid-state battery Chargers are likely still some years away.

Nevertheless, it’s a meaningful development for the nameplate. The OG Daytona was the first vehicle in NASCAR to reach 200 mph, and its EV successor is now among the first to be pushing battery tech into the next era.

Nike has found some serious success lately in reviving its Y2K-era sneakers. 

With triumphant returns of the Vomero 5 and the Total 90, or even once-divisive Shox TL and Shox R4 runners, the Swoosh has certainly figured out what works with the modern consumer. Unapologetically technical shoes are now quite fashionable, and those of us who passed up on these retro silhouettes are more than happy to give them a second chance decades later.

But for its latest comeback, Nike looks to a lesser-known trainer that you may (or may not) remember.

A long-lost classic

Debuting in 2008, the Zoom Skylon 11 was the final iteration of the long-running series (née Air Skylon) that started in the early ‘90s. 

Not nearly as popular as the Vomero or Shox lines — or even the familial Air Skylon 2 from 1992 — the Skylon 11 was nevertheless a cult favorite of the ‘00s. Yet, from an aesthetic standpoint, the reissue doesn’t feel like nearly as big of a swing as it should be.

Fitting in well with the performance-meets-dadcore heyday we’re currently living in, the Skylon 11 showcases its tech well. The larger honeycomb mesh footprint contributes to the lightweight and breathable fit. It’s overlaid with a swooping pattern made from synthetic material.

Unlike the max cushion monsters we’ve been seeing in recent years, the Skylon 11 sits relatively low and is expectedly flexible. Zoom Air units cushion the midsoles just like the original.

A new dad shoe favorite?

The Skylon 11 surfaced in a Volt colorway a few months back, but now we’re seeing it in white. This variant has decidedly more crossover potential, not unlike what we’ve seen with the Vomero 5. Considering current trends, you shouldn’t be surprised to this running shoe worn as a lifestyle sneaker.

The canvas is accented in black on the overlays and tongue. Meanwhile, glossy silver is given to the toe cap and eyestays. The Swoosh on the side shows up in black with a silver border. Underfoot, a white sole completes the look with an aggressive slotted design.

Doxa boasts one of the most dedicated fan bases of any small, independent watch brand. Its combination of unmistakable design language and rich history is rarely found outside of the luxury market.

The Swiss watchmaker’s newest release perfectly embodies both of those elements. It is a sequel to one of Doxa’s most coveted archival designs, remaining visually faithful to the original while introducing a more wearable case.

The new SUB 200 T.Graph II descends from one of the first purpose-built chronograph dive watches. Its dial and bezel are nearly identical to the original and follow the same collection iconography as the SUB 300 and SUB 200 T.

When the original T.Graph was introduced in 1969, it was a novel idea to add the stopwatch complication from automotive and aeronautical tool watches to a diver. It allowed you to track elapsed time above the water’s surface with a chronograph and below with Doxa’s patented dual-scale bezel.

The T.Graph II makes a few notable improvements upon the original without disrupting the look that Doxa fans pine for. It incorporates a trimmed-down case, a new movement and two of Doxa’s modern straps.

It launches with four of Doxa’s standard dial colors: the steel Searambler, orange Professional, black Sharkhunter and blue Caribbean.

I’ve was fortunate enough to spend time with the T.Graph II twice before it launched. Our first encounter was a sneak peek in April, where prototypes were displayed alongside a vintage T.Graph.

Doxa got the dial and bezel so close to the original that only the Roman numeral two on the new dial and some patina on the old one revealed their identities.

The T.Graph II features Doxa’s signature dial with printed baton hour markers, asymmetrical hour and minute hands, a dash seconds track and the brand and model printed 11:00 and 5:00. The hands and hour markers are enhanced with Super-LumiNova.

To accommodate the chronograph complication, the central seconds hand is arrow-tipped, the framed date window is rotated to 6:00 and dual subdials are added. The 30-minute totalizer at 3:00 has five-minute color segments on its track and an arrow-tipped hand, while the small seconds at 9:00 features a square lollipop hand.

Trimming and swimming

The most impactful update to the long-awaited sequel to Doxa’s first diver chronograph is the case size. It retains the customary elliptical cushion shape but is streamlined to fit more comfortably on the wrist.

The T.Graph II measures 42mm wide, 14.6mm tall and 44.5mm lug-to-lug. That’s down one millimeter, half a millimeter and 2.5mm, respectively.

I got to try on the vintage T.Graph, and it is an absolute unit on the wrist. The new T.Graph II is still chunky by modern chronograph standards, but lays more naturally on the wrist.

The crown is identical to the original, but the button-style pushers stick out a bit further, making them easier to engage. There is a tactile pleasure to feeling and hearing the click of the chronograph, matched only by the firm clicks of the unidirectional rotating bezel.

Along with the trimmed-down T.Graph II case comes a new movement, the Sellita Caliber SW510 BH a automatic. It is a cam-style chronograph that beats at 4Hz and provides a 56-hour power reserve.

Ready to dive

The other big functional improvement made to the T.Graph II is the strap. It is offered on two of Doxa’s standard options: the steel “beads of rice” bracelet and the fitted rubber strap.

Both feature the brand’s signed folding clasp with a built-in sliding diving extension. This feature allows the watch to fit over a wetsuit sleeve and doubles as a micro-adjustment.

After spending some time with the T.Graph II, I’m admittedly obsessed. It is an unapologetic retro tool watch that ticks every box for vintage diver fans. The new size, movement and straps make it relevant in the modern market, while the look is respectfully untouched.

The Doxa SUB 200 T.Graph II is now available for pre-order from Doxa for $4,290 on a steel bracelet and $4,250 on a rubber strap, with orders expected to ship out in late June.

While I can’t say I read every press release put out by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, a recent one definitely caught my eye.

After all, it announces the Armed Forces adopting a new vehicle that “combines the advantages of a classic motorcycle with an internal combustion engine and electrical engineering.”

Referred to as both the WolfStorm and Storm Wolf, the bike’s qualities are uniquely suited for tactical use, yet they are sure to have plenty of consumers drooling.

The fact that even the Predator itself could not track this thing certainly doesn’t hurt.

Created by Kyiv-based UkrSpecConsulting (USC), the WolfStorm boasts a quality not normally hyped with consumer vehicles: minimal heat signature, making it essentially thermal imaging proof.

Combined with the fact that it is electric and therefore has, as USC puts it, “low acoustic visibility,” this bike is as stealthy as they come, ideal for reconnaissance and sabotage missions, among other things.

It’s worth noting that most electric motos probably have a minimal heat signature; it’s just that, unless you are using the bike tactically or taking on a Predator, it’s not a particularly marketable trait.

Beyond that quality are several other notable ones, including a quick-change battery system; the 48.5-pound unit can be swapped in about 30 seconds.

In battlefield situations, that’s the preferable power-up, as actually fully charging a battery takes three to four hours.

Like nearly all electrics, the bike’s mid-mounted brushless direct drive motor offers ample torque, with a range of roughly 60 miles and a top speed of 50 mph. 

More impressive is the fact that despite a curb weight of just 231 pounds, the bike’s payload capacity is over 570 pounds, meaning it can easily transport two soldiers with full gear and weapons.

Maintenance stays low thanks to the relative simplicity of electric designs, which sidestep the need for oil changes, valve adjustments, clutches and exhaust systems and the associated potential failure points.

Additionally, USC notes that the electrical system has an IP66 protection rating, which promises high resistance and resilience in the face of dust, dirt, precipitation and high humidity.

Interestingly, the bike employs an old-school chain drive, which is louder than a belt but also more repairable in the field.

Throw in the off-road chops promised by knobby tires, long-travel suspension and nearly 15 inches of ground clearance, not to mention reverse, and the appeal of the WolfStorm only grows.

Can the bike actually deliver? Considering MDU has signed up for 1,500 units, it should be getting the ultimate field test soon.

Spec’ed for military use, the USC WolfStorm is not currently available to civilians. However, high-performance military products have a long history of making their way to the marketplace, so don’t be surprised to see a consumer version at some point down the road.

When you really think about it, G-Shock and Yeti have a lot in common.

Ford is reportedly very serious about spawning a new sedan off of the Mustang. Multiple reports indicate the Dearborn automaker is lining up its ducks to make another controversial move with its most iconic sports car.

Over the years, Ford teased the idea of making a four-door sedan version of the Mustang. But none of them really seemed to come to fruition or gain any traction.

Now, however, the concept is gathering steam. Several external circumstances are all leading to a road that could spawn a four-door Dearborn pony car.

It was just a few years ago when Ford discontinued its entire car lineup. That left just SUVs and trucks in the mix, which made industry analysts believe that sedans are dead. Particularly, here in America and in the wake of the relentless demand for high riders.

But such is apparently not the case. Ford, and several other American automakers, recently expressed interest to revisit sedans for future model ideas. They also cited dwindling demand for SUVs as buyers are apparently getting tired of them.

With demand supposedly increasing for low-riding four-doors, and other external factors, Ford is keen on revisiting its controversial idea of adding an extra pair to the Mustang coupe.

A potential new global performance sedan

A few months ago, CEO Jim Farley expressed his desire to build a new, “affordable,” rear-wheel-drive sedan. But he mainly aimed his remarks at the Australian market, where the Dearborn’s regional division produced the Falcon.

The Falcon was a popular mainstream sedan for the Australian market and it even has an enthusiast fanbase. That’s because the Falcon has always been a performance bargain, being a cheap, rear-wheel-drive sedan with an optional V8.

But Ford discontinued the Falcon a decade ago to focus on SUVs and trucks. With the renewed interest in sedans, however, the Falcon could return. And, it could even potentially pave the way for a Mustang sedan on our shores.

Ford’s been running a global product strategy for the past couple of decades. The automaker essentially streamlined its product lineup to reduce production costs. The strategy also made nearly all of its models the same in every regional market (barring area-specific safety regulations, such as lighting details).

For instance, our previous generation Escape SUV was developed by Ford Europe and sold elsewhere as the Kuga. The last-gen Fiesta subcompact and Focus were also Ford Europe byproducts. Our Fusion sedan was also a European-market Mondeo adapted for North America.

If Ford returns with a Falcon, it could very much port the model over to our shores as a Mustang sedan.

Expanding the Mustang nameplate

The idea of a Mustang sedan hasn’t been sitting well with traditional fans. But after the introduction of the Mach-E, Ford believes there’s more potential.

“We have a really great Mustang that people consider a car. We look to expand on the Mustang family as we move forward,” Ford product executive, Andrew Frick, recently told AutomotiveNews.

“I think, for us to do it, it’s going to have to make sense within our portfolio,” Frick continued. “It’s going to have to make sense within a family that we may already offer. And it’s going to have to be very cost-effective for us to do it.”

However, the specifics remain to be determined as Ford’s product planners are still unsure whether to pursue the all-electric route. Or, stick with gas power, but with electric assist, to make a hybrid.

The Falcon’s return also remains a rumor as Ford still is figure the proper path forward. But either way, the idea of a new four-door performance sedan from Dearborn is still alive and well.

Fluance is one of the biggest names in entry-level hi-fi turntables, with models ranging from $250 to $550. In the sub-$1,000 space, it’s a bonafide rival to the likes of Pro-Ject and U-Turn Audio.

Now, however, the Canadian audio manufacturer is slightly switching gears by introducing its most audiophile-grade turntable to date. According to the brand, the all-new RT87 represents its “most ambitious approach to accurate vinyl playback” yet.

The Fluance RT87 is the most high-end turntable in the company’s Reference Series, and sits right above its previous flagship: the RT85N ($550). However, the RT87 represents a significant step up.

“Every decision behind this turntable was made with musical accuracy in mind,” said Justin Koetsier, a product manager at Fluance. “As more listeners demand higher-resolution analog systems, the demand is no longer just for a turntable, but for a platform that allows the stylus to retrieve the clearest possible signal from the groove.”

Dual plinth

The most striking feature of the RT87 is its dual-plinth architecture; it’s Fluance’s first turntable to have such a design. This creates a physical separation between the top plinth and the motor, which is mounted on the lower plinth, further eliminating vibrations from impacting the tonearm and cartridge.

In a nutshell, the RT87 reads vinyl records extremely accurately.

Naturally, the RT87 is engineered with other features to ensure this accurate playback.

This includes a nine-inch carbon fiber tonearm with Adjustable Vertical Tracking Angle (VTA), which allows listeners to fine-tune cartridge alignment. As well as a high-mass, 4.1-pound acrylic platter that is designed to improve rotational stability while minimizing unwanted resonance.

Additionally, Fluance is giving listeners the option to choose between two different moving magnet cartridges: Audio-Technica’s AT-VM95ML or Ortofon’s 2M Blue.

Fluance claims that Audio-Technica’s cartridge features a Microlinear stylus that can reach deeper into the groove “for exceptional detail retrieval, low distortion, and high-resolution sound,” while the Ortofon 2M Blue is known for its “balanced sound, accurate tracking, and rich tonal character.”

Basically, it gives listeners the option to further customize their turntable’s sound. (Plus, no matter the cartridge configuration, the RT87 costs the same.)

Importantly, the Fluance RT87 is a belt-drive turntable that doesn’t come with a built-in phono preamplifier. So, listeners have to get an external one or pair the turntable with an integrated amplifier that has its own phono stage.

The lack of a phono preamplifier is another feature that separates the RT87 from more entry-level turntables; it gives listeners more freedom to customize their sound, but obviously adds to the final cost of their vinyl hi-fi system.

The Fluance RT87 turntable comes in three different finishes (Natural Walnut, Piano White and Piano Black) and two different phono cartridge configurations.

Timex is undoubtedly the most recognizable American watch brand of all time, beating out competitors like Hamilton and Bulova by a wide margin.

Granted, much of that can be attributed to its dedication to affordability. However, low prices alone don’t do the trick; this kind of timelessness also requires trendsetting and iconicism.

For instance, the brand has been a trailblazer in both quartz and digital watches, exemplified by its legendary Timex T80, which has just received a pair of retro-inspired new editions.

Retro revival

Traditionally, Timex T80 watches feature metal cases. In fact, virtually all the other T80s the brand currently has in stock feature stainless steel cases (and most have straps that match).

These new editions, however, embrace a wholly different, synthetic material: resin. But this isn’t run-of-the-mill resin; it’s translucent, allowing users to peer into the watch’s inner workings. For reference, this model is available in either clear with blue details or dark green with yellow, but they’re otherwise identical.

While the T80 is an ’80s watch through and through, this little change hearkens back to a different decade: the 1990s. It was this era that saw translucent tech, like the iconic iMac G3 and N64, flourish.

Not only does that material swap alter the styling of this watch, but it also makes it lighter and more wearable on a daily basis. It’s worth noting, too, that this isn’t a hard plastic resin (as is traditional); it’s softer, similar to the material used by other watch brands, like G-Shock.

A timeless icon

While the resin case and integrated, matching strap are certainly a stylistic deviation from classic T80 watches, the rest of it remains largely intact. This is still the same digital watch people have known and loved for decades.

That means it retains the same reliable, durable quartz movement (a contemporary take, of course) that it has always had. It also maintains its same bold digital display with its signature Indiglo backlight for nighttime and low-light reading.

It also means that, beyond standard timekeeping, the watch offers a suite of useful everyday features. They include a chronograph, date display, onboard alarms, a timer and more.

Altogether, it’s a solid new addition to an already stellar lineup. And best of all, it is still incredibly affordable, coming in just a few dollars past the $100 mark.

2027 Jeep Wrangler Sarge

For the eighth release in its ongoing Twelve 4 Twelve campaign, Jeep has given the Wrangler a military-inspired overhaul it’s calling the ‘Sarge.’ Along with a ’41 Green or white grille surround, the treatment also brings vintage-style star graphics, bronze tow hooks, painted wheels and a body-color roof. Moreover, inside, the Sarge package introduces a new color in Cattle Tan Nappa paired with Drag Green, and it comes with gold stitching as well as a bevy of special badges. Though you won’t find any performance upgrades, Jeep says the package will run buyers just $100 more than a comparable Wrangler Rubicon or Willys.

But, being a collaboration with Fritz Hansen, the renowned Danish design brand, this turntable comes in a limited-edition deep burgundy finish. Only 300 models will be made.

To celebrate the British hi-fi maker’s 50th anniversary, Arcam has introduced a new flagship integrated amplifier that sits atop the brand’s high-end Radia range: the A50 Signature. It has a fully dual-mono Class G architecture (a first for the brand), which Arcam claims “delivers exceptional channel separation, low noise, and high dynamic capability.” It’s capable of outputting 150 watts (at 8 ohms) per channel, thus promising to drive a wide range of loudspeakers. Additionally, it has a built-in MM/MC phono stage for easy turntable hookups. It features USB-C and HDMI eARC inputs, so it can technically function as the hub of your desktop hi-fi or home theater. And it supports Bluetooth streaming, too.

Wharfedale Elysian R Series

This is Wharfedale’s new flagship loudspeaker range for 2026. The company is describing it as a refinement, not an evolution, of its previous Elysian range, which was introduced in 2020. Each Elysian R loudspeaker features “refined driver technology, improved crossover execution, further-optimized cabinet construction, and a new contemporary finish palette.” Like before, the range consists of five loudspeaker models: two standmounts, two floorstanding and a center channel.

In case you missed it, we’re officially just a few days away from summer. Though this means the best riding temperatures are in the rearview, the season does come with its advantages.

Namely, there’s now plenty of daylight to take that detour on your commute home or make that one last canyon run. Moreover, if you’ve got a stockpile of ambitious two-wheeled projects, you can finally give that work lamp a rest.

With CFMoto’s 450CL-C already a hit, the burgeoning Chinese moto brand amps the cruiser up by embiggening the engine. The jump from 449cc to 526cc enables the overhauled parallel twin to make 52 horsepower at 9,000 rpm (30 percent more) and 38 ft-lbs of torque at 6,000 rpm (25 percent more). The slightly larger bike also gets a tech boost, as the circular 3.6-inch TFT dash offers MotoPlay phone connectivity for navigation and screen mirroring, while retaining the retro styling cues and approachability that make its predecessor so popular in the first place.

Honda says the 2027 CRF450R makes for its biggest update to the platform in more than a decade. The brand isn’t blowing smoke, either, as the bike brings a completely overhauled 449.5cc engine, a first-ever rubber damper-activated Back Torque Limiter, a frame design that’s 70 percent new and some fresh bodywork that’s both ergonomic and user-friendly. The bike also touts a robust electronics package with features like HRC Launch Control and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).

Inspired by the 1979 CB750F, this heavily hyped bike combines retro styling and modern advancements. Notable throwback touches include the big round headlight, angular tank and serpentine exhaust pipes culminating in a glorious bell-shaped silencer. Those pipes emerge from a down-tuned Fireblade-derived 1000cc inline-four making a claimed 122 horsepower at 9,000 rpm and 76 lb-ft of torque at 8,000 rpm. The bike also boasts Showa suspension, Nissin brakes and three built-in ride modes — Standard, Sport and Rain — plus two customizable ones you can dial in yourself.

2027 Kawasaki KX327

The KX327 arrives as Kawasaki’s first two-stroke larger than 250cc in over two decades, and Team Green hasn’t missed a beat. Between modern EFI, a designed exhaust valve system, creature comforts like electric start and switchable power modes, it makes for a much more refined machine than the carbureted monsters of old. Still, because it’s a two-stroke, the 327cc off-road moto promises a svelte 233.7-pound curb weight and a power comparable to much larger machines. Alongside the debut of the KX327, Kawasaki also unveiled a more cross-country-focused sibling in the KX327X. It brings added protection and a smaller rear wheel.

With the biggest annual knife event, Blade Show Atlanta, taking place last weekend, we got a sneak peek at a sweet smorgasbord of sharp and shiny objects.

Standing out among all that shimmering steel was an already grail-worthy knife getting a much-deserved nod from the industry itself, as Zero Tolerance’s 0020 claimed one of the biggest honors, American-Made Folding Knife of the Year.

Yet that’s hardly the only exciting news from the past week, as everyone from Böker to WESN dropped compelling folders of their own, alongside a couple of intriguing EDC-adjacent accessories.

Although not entirely novel, a hawkbill-bladed EDC knife is a rare sight to behold. Even more rare is the hawkbill-bladed EDC knife that isn’t aggressively tactical or curved like a karambit. But this Kizer pulls it off beautifully, offering ergonomics and a shape more in line with classic EDC knives while also presenting a less straightforward blade shape (which just so happens to be great for opening packages, as the tip can hook into the packing tape). It doesn’t hurt that this blade is positively overbuilt, boasting a DLC-coated S90V steel blade and DLC titanium and camo carbon handle scales.

NWKW’s most reliable hunting knife gets even better with notable upgrades to both its blade and handle. Regarding the former, the 3.5-inch drop-point blade now features CPM MagnaCut Steel, prized for its supreme blend of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance. As for the latter, alternating rubber and G10 layers promise a “SureGrip,” even when slick with water or blood, and this particular new edition stands out thanks to its unique aesthetic, inspired by the mountains around the brand’s birthplace of Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Böker 1969 Z28-Damast Shadow

Inspired by 1969’s masterful Z28, the final Camaro of the first generation, this Tommaso Rumici design aims to deliver an equally potent blend of performance and style. The cutting edge is a 3.15-inch drop-point blade made from 80-layer Damascus steel with a fine PVD finish, hand-forged by the legendary Chad Nichols. The “Tread” pattern nods to the Camaro’s sloped cowl-induction hood, complete with authentic components from the car’s upper control arm integrated into the blade material itself. Meanwhile, the black hard-anodized aluminum handle echoes the Camaro’s body lines, specifically the notchback profile, subtle rear spoiler and gill-like rear fender vents. And just as Chevy built that classic Camaro in Detroit, the American auto industry’s historic heartland, Böker made this knife in Germany’s Klingenstadt (“City of Blades”), the brand’s hometown of Solingen.

While most of the U.S. is still obsessed with the NBA Finals for at least a couple more days (go Knicks), much of the rest of the world has turned its attention to the world’s most popular sport, soccer, and the start of the 2026 World Cup.

This year’s competition will be watched more closely here at home compared to usual, as the U.S. is the host nation for the event, along with Mexico and Canada.

That means companies will be coming out of the woodwork to try and capitalize on soccer’s biggest stage coming to America, and that includes Timex, which recently trotted out a soccer-themed Snoopy watch that’s perfect for wearing while watching the beautiful game.

This latest version of the Marlin Automatic belongs to Timex’s expansive licensed Peanuts collection. It features a large image of Snoopy, depicted mid-kick, printed on the silver sunburst dial between 5:00 and 6:00.

A soccer ball functions as the watch’s seconds hand, but there’s no actual hand. Instead, the soccer ball is printed on a rotating transparent disc, giving the illusion that it is floating around the dial. The effect is aided by Timex’s use of a Miyota automatic movement, which provides a smooth sweep.

This type of dial is known as a mystery dial, since the way it works isn’t obvious at first glance. Mystery dials had their heyday in the mid-twentieth century, but Timex has recently brought the feature back on several Snoopy-themed watches, usually in relation to sports, such as the popular Peanuts Marlin Hand-Wound Snoopy Tennis.

This decidedly fun soccer version actually launched last month alongside a hyped outer-space version that sold out almost immediately. Given the timing of the space watch, which debuted not long after the Artemis II launch, the soccer watch was overshadowed. But now with the World Cup kicking off, it’s stepping into the spotlight.

Outside of the soccer ball mystery dial, this watch should be pretty familiar to fans of the Marlin Automatic. Its stainless steel case measures 40mm across and a beefy 13.5mm tall, though a good chunk of that height comes from the massive domed acrylic crystal; a fittingly vintage touch.

A mineral crystal display caseback gives a view of the undecorated Miyota automatic powering the watch, and it features an image of the Peanuts gang in black, which we’ve previously seen on other Timex x Peanuts collabs.

The watch is water-resistant to 50m and features lume on its pencil hour and minute hands, but not its applied stick indices. The black leather strap is secured with a Timex-signed steel pin buckle and equipped with quick-release spring bars.

The Timex x Peanuts Marlin Automatic Soccer is available now on Timex’s website for $359. It’s not limited and has been out already for a month or so, but these Snoopy pieces often sell out, so don’t be shocked if this one quickly disappears now that the World Cup has officially started.

2026 marks the last year for the current Cadillac CT5, and that makes for a big loss, as it also sidelines the brand’s M-rivaling, V8-powered Blackwing.

While parent GM does have a successor planned, this amounts to the last opportunity to get your hands on a gas-powered luxury American sports sedan in the meantime.

Toward that end, Cadillac even delivered a sendoff for the CT5-V Blackwing in the form of the F1 Collector Series. As striking as it was, I’d say Callaway might’ve cooked up something better.

That’s because, even with its improved 685-horsepower output, the F1 Blackwing can’t match the numbers enabled through Callaway’s SC780 Package.

The tuner has managed to take the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 all the way to 780 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque, and buyers have the option of either an auto or a manual (we know which we’d choose).

Though that means they put out an equal amount of twist, it results in a nearly 100-horsepower improvement. Moreover, the difference is larger still if you compare it to the standard Blackwing. 

To accomplish these kinds of gains, Callaway ditches the stock supercharger in favor of its own unit along with a three-element intercooler. At 3.0 liters in displacement, the blower offers a whopping 72 percent more volume than the setup fitted from the factory.

Granted, the F1 Collector Series treatment does bring other impactful upgrades beyond power. Thanks to the inclusion of the Precision Pack, it rides on specialized suspension and comes fitted with track-ready upgrades like carbon-ceramic brakes and sticky tires.

But track days are ultimately only among many applications for Cadillac’s V8 sports sedan. In that sense, it’s a bit of a deep cut for a vehicle that’s supposed to mark the end of the run.

In celebration of the first Cadillac Formula 1 race on American soil, the brand has created an exclusive, high-performance variant of the CT5-V Blackwing called the F1 Collector Series. As befits the name, then, it brings some top-level refinements from the GM Motorsports division, including an upgraded supercharger, a manual-only transmission configuration, a precision handling package, loads of carbon fiber and exclusive visual touches inside and out. While the Midnight Stone Frost paint makes the CT5-V Blackwing an understated looker, nothing about the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and its 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque is subtle. Just 26 examples are set for production.

A more convincing Caddy look

All the more so when you consider the Collector Series Blackwing’s accompanying visual touches. Because the car doubled as a celebration of its Formula 1 entry this year, Cadillac littered it with F1 and FIA logos on everything from the supercharger cover to the shifter.

Assuming you’re a racing fan, they’re pretty cool touches and they mark a historic occasion for the brand. However, even if you’ve been binging Drive to Survive, it can still come across as a little, well, much.

For that reason, Callaway’s SC780 skews the more convincing Blackwing. It might not wear the same fancy carbon ducklid or special livery, but it brings some eye-catching touches. 

Most notably in the form of the hand-laid carbon hood scoop. However, pop the hood, and you’ll see that Callaway has given the engine its own dress-up treatment with carbon covers and commemorative badging.

Buyers can take things further still with a sport exhaust or a sport pedal set, yet Callaway’s exterior changes remain subtle. As a maximization of the CT5-V Blackwing’s sleeper potential, then, it’s a markedly more appropriate ride.

The best part is that it’s far less exclusive. Cadillac is building just 26 F1 Collector Series cars total for North America, while Callaway has not announced production quantities.

You’ll have to inquire about a price, though it’s worth noting that each SC780 package comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty and is sold through authorized Cadillac dealers.

AudioQuest is a famed audiophile brand that has been making some of the best high-performance speaker cables since the early 1980s. However, since the company introduced its DragonFly series of thumb-sized DAC/amps in 2012, it’s become a big name in the portable hi-fi space, too.

Over the years, AudioQuest has released several different DragonFly models that all work the same: They plug into your computer or smartphone via USB, bypass its audio circuitry and deliver a cleaner, more natural signal to your wired headphones.

Now, with the DragonFly Copper, AudioQuest is introducing its most powerful and efficient model yet. It’s the first new model in the DragonFly series that the company has released in seven years.

Of course, the Copper is positioned as the new flagship in AudioQuest’s DragonFly series. And compared to previous models (including the Cobalt, Red and Black), the Copper promises significant performance gains.

The most notable improvement? Power.

The DragonFly Copper promises twice the power output of any previous DragonFly models, meaning it should be able to drive more demanding wired headphones. (Note: AudioQuest has not unveiled exact wattage specs yet.)

The Copper also features a new 32-bit DAC and a slightly smaller processor, a combo that AudioQuest claims has given it a significantly more efficient design. Specifically, the Copper draws 25-percent less current than previous DragonFlys.

For those who plan on using the Copper with their smartphones, this more efficient design is a big deal because it means it won’t drain your phone’s battery as quickly.

Additionally, the Copper features a copper-plated case, a material with natural acoustic properties. AudioQuest explains that it helps drain unwanted frequencies away from the audio circuitry, resulting in a purer audio signal.

Late in 2025, Hoka announced substantive upgrades to its original city-to-trail shoe, the Transport 2.

Now, to complement that suite of off-road and on-road features, the brand has debuted a fresh new colorway for the sneaker that expresses its adventurous attitude more vividly than ever.

The Transport 2 builds on its predecessor’s foundation in a few key ways.

First, the stack height has been increased from 29mm to 38mm, bringing the shoe more in-line with Hoka’s typical profile (although it’s still nowhere close to the brand’s max-cushioned offerings).

The Transport 2 also sees a softer sockliner and increased padding in the collar, offering more comfort for long days and mixed-terrain adventures.

The Vibram EcoStep Recycle outsole, water-repellant coating on the upper and quick-toggle lace remain in the equation, as well.

For 2026, Hoka gave the versatile design a new earthy colorway that expresses its capability off-road and on, without saying a word.

The Stucco/Varsity Navy update sees a bone-colored upper paired with blue accents across the branding, eyestay and laces, accompanied by a maroon lace toggle, black midsole and tan outsole.

Swatch Group’s portfolio boasts a star-studded lineup of dive watches, including the Seasmaster, Fifty Fathoms and HydroConquest collections, but following in their wake are a few criminally underrated affordable alternatives, like the Certina DS Action Diver and the Mido Ocean Star 39.

While the DS Action Diver is a pragmatic, performance-forward line priced under $1,000, Mido offers more aesthetic appeal and isn’t a bad stand-in for its famous cousin over at Omega. A new dial color scheme solidifies the Ocean Star 39’s place among the best divers available for under $1,500.

Mido’s broader Ocean Star collection dates back to the 1940s, but the Ocean Star 39 debuted in 2024, shaving 3.5mm off the existing standard model for a more contemporary design.

Its dial is distinguished by a 3D wave pattern with irregular lines that mimic the ocean’s surface. It is a more natural version of the texture found on many Seamaster Diver 300M dials.

The rest of the design follows the classic dive watch template established by Rolex and Blancpain in the 1950s. It has triangle and dot applied hour markers, a lollipop seconds hand and a dash minute track.

There is a date window at 3:00 and the coin edge bezel is fitted with an aluminum insert. The 39mm stainless steel case has a very Submariner-like shape, with a retro unguarded crown at 3:00.

What sets this particular Ocean Star 39 apart is the new Abyss Blue, which has a greenish, grayish hue, much like deep ocean water. Blue is a crowd-pleasing color for dive watches, but it is refreshing to find an alternative to the navy and royal tones seen again and again.

The captivating Abyss Blue spills over onto the bezel and extends to a rubber strap with a steel pin buckle. It features fitted ends with quick-release pins and scored lines, deepening the visual similarity to certain Seamaster references.

In a first for the Ocean Star 39, the new Abyss Blue dial also comes with the steel three-link bracelet found on existing references. It has quick-release endlinks and a folding clasp.

You’re a star

The most impressive feature of the Ocean Star 39 Abyss Blue isn’t anything new. The “Goldilocks” 39mm case width is complemented by a slender 10.5mm height, making it one of the thinnest options in its category.

Those svelte dimensions are made possible by the ETA Caliber A31.111 automatic movement inside. It is much more compact than the Powermatic 80 movements found in most affordable Swatch Group offerings, but still packs a Nivachron hairspring, beats at 3.5Hz and provides a 72-hour power reserve.

The Ocean Star 39 has been around for a few years, but hasn’t made as much of a splash (pun intended) as the specs suggest it should. I think this comes down to the color schemes chosen for all previous references being a bit off.

This Abyss Blue nails the classic look that this watch deserves, and should help boost its status in the overcrowded affordable dive watch market.

The Rolex Day-Date may have earned the moniker “The President” or “Presidential” after President Lyndon Johnson famously wore one during his term in the 1960s, making the watch a popular choice among world leaders ever since.

But the Day-Date is not the only “President” watch, nor is it the original. Swiss brand Vulcain debuted the Cricket as the first dependable, audible mechanical alarm wristwatch in 1947. Six years later, a Cricket was gifted to President Harry S. Truman before he left office. His successor, President Dwight Eisenhower, had already been wearing a Cricket since 1951, and the watch quickly became associated with the Commander-in-Chief.

JFK did not own a Cricket, but President Johnson did, and he wore his frequently. Since Johnson, every president (with the exception of George W. Bush) has been gifted a Vulcain Cricket either during or after their presidency (or, in President Joe Biden’s case, before, as he received his while he was vice president).

As a result, the Cricket is unofficially known as “The Presidents’ Watch,” and today’s incarnation looks pretty similar to those worn by Ike and Truman in the ’50s. But now Vulcain is bringing its icon into the future with a new, hyper-modern version crafted from titanium.

The Vulcain Cricket Titanium features a 39mm case made of Grade 5 titanium, an aerospace-grade material that’s considerably lighter than steel while also offering tremendous strength and resistance to scratches. (Cheaper Grade 2 titanium is the soft stuff that’s very easily scratched.)

Titanium is a better resonator than steel, meaning it conducts sound more efficiently. That means the titanium case, theoretically, should be a better vessel for the mechanical alarm than steel. But Vulcain didn’t stop at reworking the case.

The entire movement has also been reimagined in the superior alloy, replacing components with titanium wherever possible. The mainplate and bridges are made of titanium on the all-new Vulcain Calibre V14 movement, as are the anvil and Vulcain “V” that are fixed to the sapphire caseback.

These two components are crucial in transferring the energy of the movement’s hammer throughout the case to sound the alarm. As a result, the new titanium-powered alarm sound is sharper and crisper than ever before.

The manually wound movement is nicely decorated with Geneva stripes and blued screws, and it features two mainspring barrels. One provides power to the timekeeping with a reserve of 52 hours, while the other is dedicated to powering the alarm.

Moving on to the dial, it too is made of titanium for a contemporary look. It features a guilloché-inspired pattern, nickel-plated indices and blued hour and minute hands, all of which feel very luxe. White printing encircles the dial with markings for the alarm, which is set with the nickel-plated, black arrow-tipped fourth hand. The dial sits underneath a generously domed sapphire crystal.

There are a handful of specs that have yet to be revealed on the Cricket Titanium, namely the thickness of the case and the water resistance. Those numbers are 12.8mm and 50m on the steel version, so I expect the measurements here to be more or less the same.

The Cricket Titanium is available on a range of leather straps, starting at $7,670. Production is limited to just 100 pieces, with priority allocation given to existing clients. The watch will go on sale on June 18.

If you’re in the market for a camper van to live out your nomadic fantasies, there are certainly many options to choose from. But one version we’re missing out here in the States is a model that started the whole movement in the first place: the Volkswagen Transporter.

The Wolfsburg-based automaker launched its next-gen “T7” model not too long ago. As a result, outfitters are already hard at work creating their own #vanlife concoctions.

One of which is Australia’s Trakka brand, who just debuted its latest take on the iconic camper van.

It’s called the Trakkadu, which succeeds the company’s previous T6 Transporter-based variant. Just like the old one, the new T7-based Trakkadu nudges the outfitter’s flagship model into the new generation.

It begins as a T7 Transporter with the factory-equipped pop-up roof, complete with 4Motion all-wheel drive and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel. Then, Trakka begins the van’s transformation by adding the sort of amenities you’d expect from your typical camper van.

Such includes a fully-kitted mini-kitchen, complete with an electric Westinghouse stove-top range, an integrated mini fridge-and-freezer combo, and high-rise counter tops with plenty of sliding drawer and cabinet-like storage options.

Buyers can customize the interior further, by opting for the dual-sliding door T7. Versus, the single-door variant shown in its press materials.

When most folks imagine a backpack in their mind’s eye, there’s a pretty solid chance they’re thinking of a JanSport SuperBreak. It might just be the most iconic backpack of all time, at least in the modern era.

But what if you could have that same classic styling in a bag that was much more durable, capable and both EDC- and travel-friendly? That’s the question the Topo Designs Classic Teardrop Backpack seeks to answer.

As far as its form factor is concerned, this bag is pretty faithful to the classic JanSport backpacks many of us used in our schoolkid days. However, it’s not an exact replica (it wouldn’t really be product news if it were just a copy-paste job).

It maintains a classic 20-liter capacity, which is perfect for EDC use and travel (as a carry-on or auxiliary personal item that fits under the seat in front of you). It also has the same two-compartment layout, with a large main compartment and a small, externally accessible secondary pocket.

However, it also has a lot of differences. For instance, the zippers are more heavy-duty and come with outdoor-inspired paracord pulls, making them more convenient and durable. It also gets a trio of Topo Designs diamond-shaped leather patches, which add some style and function as additional modular attachment points.

Even the inside is more organization-friendly, boasting multiple internal pockets, including a padded 14-inch laptop pouch (the standard SuperBreak doesn’t have one, but the upgraded SuperBreak Plus does).

There’s even a hidden water bottle pocket, accessible from the outside via the side entry zippers (there’s one on each side) and doubling as a more secure stash for sensitive items.

Harder, better, faster, stronger

While the quality-of-life feature updates are exciting on their own, I might argue that there’s an even more significant alteration you can’t immediately see. This bag is not built from the same pedestrian materials as a JanSport.

The JanSport SuperBreak (and the SuperBreak Plus) are built from polyester, which is … fine. It’s just not quite up to the same standards as, say, 400D and 1000D nylon, which the Topo bag is made of, making it more durable, weatherproof, and resistant to punctures, cuts, scrapes and abrasions.

The padded shoulder straps are also tougher, boasting a nylon construction similar to car seatbelts. And since Topo Designs is an outdoor-inspired brand, there’s even a webbing axe loop on the bag.

The JanSport SuperBreak walked so that this pack could run, and I genuinely think it is a worthy successor, even if it is a good deal more expensive. Still, under $100 for a bag of this quality is hardly too big an ask.

For nearly two decades, the Asics Gel-Challenger line has been one of the best value options for recreational tennis players.

Sitting between the basic Gel-Dedicate and the competitive Gel-Resolution, the Gel-Challenger is the dependable workhorse of the bunch. It hovers right above the $100 mark while still boasting high durability, solid lateral stability and Asics’ famed Gel cushioning.

Regardless of the shoe’s performance prowess, it’s never even kind of been a crossover model. But now, thanks to a collaboration with an up-and-coming brand, you might view these sneakers in a different light.

Setinn (an anagram for “tennis”) launched just a couple of years ago by fashion curator for Beams, Shingo Arai. The Tokyo-based firm has already become well regarded for how it brings an urban tinge to on-court gear.

It’s now done just that with the Gel-Challenger 15, giving us a tuxedo colorway of the sneaker. The synthetic upper is covered in a deep shade of black, contrasted heavily with an aggressive white Tiger Stripe logo on the outside.

Arguably the biggest change to the silhouette is the giant spiral “a” on the outside of the left shoe (it’s also on the inner foot of the right shoe). The logo draws instant attention to your feet, whether on or off the court.

The sneaker sits above a similarly stealthy midsole and outsole, tying the look together.

Still built for the court

It’s safe to say this is the most streetwear-friendly version of the mid-level tennis shoe we’ve ever seen. Nevertheless, this is still a tennis shoe first and foremost.

Currently in its 15th generation, the Gel-Challenger has gotten more updates over the years than its court-ready counterparts. This latest iteration of the sneaker improves impact absorption in the forefoot and has better side-to-side lockdown with Wingwall support that prevents the side walls of the shoe from collapsing.

It’s also built with a high-abrasion rubber outsole, Ortholite insole and standard lacing system. None of these have changed for the Setinn collab.

White the contrast

On the complete opposite end of the spectrum, the collaboration also features a very white take on the Gel-Challenger 15. Certainly designed for the sport, this White/Peacoat variant swaps the color arrangement from the tuxedo model while adding some gray elements underfoot and on the tongue.

Unlike other black-and-white Gel-Challengers, this one uses aggressive forms of its colors without any of the performance-looking effects.

From the moment Triumph rolled out the new Trident 660 early this year, it was a tough bike not to covet.

After all, the good looks were complemented by an engine with a notable bump in power and torque and a host of rider-friendly features, while the price stayed well below 10 grand.

Naturally, the mid-size moto gets even more appealing when the brand knocks a few hundred bucks off the MSRP, which just happened. 

The move makes perfect sense for Triumph while providing us with an excuse to give the bike another long, lingering look.

Perfect cut

Launched with an MSRP of $9,145, the 2026 Trident 660 now starts at a more tempting $8,745, a not-insignificant $400 less.

Why the drop? RideApart’s Robbie Bacon deduces a very likely reason: the original price put it uncomfortably close to the more powerful and capable $9,995 Trident 800.

That math may have helped sell a few more units of the bigger bike, but it only hurts the appeal of the smaller one, even for less experienced riders who’d likely get all they need from it. 

So while it’s a clear business decision for Triumph to widen the gap between the two options, it’s a rare case where the move only benefits potential buyers.

After all, the bike hasn’t changed: it still boasts an amped-up 660 triple engine, which makes 94 horsepower, 14 ponies more than its predecessor, plus 50.2 ft-lb of peak torque at 8,250 rpm.

While it puts the skills of noobs to the test with a six-speed gearbox, the effort is eased by Triumph Shift Assist and a slip-and-assist clutch lever, helping you ride for hours without your hand cramping up. 

Compared to the last generation, the bike gets more aggro via a wider fuel tank, sculpted knee cutouts and a split rider and passenger seat (with the option to add a rear cowl for solo riders).

Still, the narrow standover height and relatively low seat (31.89 inches) combine with wider bars and a tidy wet weight (430 pounds) to make for a naturally nimble and approachable ride. 

Meanwhile, a connected color TFT display lets you toggle through three distinct ride modes that adjust throttle response, ABS and traction control to conditions.

There’s also the six-axis IMU, which enables optimized cornering ABS and switchable optimized cornering traction control, helping to bail less experienced riders out of potentially disastrous mistakes.

If I have one beef with the new edition’s largely stunning street style, it’s the revised exhaust system, modestly tucked out of sight.

But as fellow GP moto enthusiast Gray Van Dyke points out, the money saved thanks to the new price is “just enough for you to cut off the stock pipe and throw on a slip-on.”

Italy’s Mille Miglia is an auto race that possesses an unmatched combination of rich history and scenic beauty. This makes Chopard’s job as Official Timekeeper, a role held since 1988, incredibly easy because there is a seemingly endless font of inspiration to draw from.

For example, last year’s official Race Edition chronograph was dedicated to Sir Stirling Moss’s still-standing record finish from 1955. For 2026, Chopard is celebrating a critical stretch of the course that has remained virtually untouched since the race began in 1927.

The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Raticosa is named after the Raticosa Pass in Italy’s Tuscan-Emilian Apennines National Park. The twisting, turning mountain road is heralded by racers for its challenge and visual beauty.

Aside from an engraving on the caseback, which we’ll get to later, this dedication is in name alone. Chopard’s Classic Chronograph remains the official race model, and the 2026 edition is one of the most attractive renditions yet.

While the dial’s blueprint is unchanged, the color scheme is drawn directly from the Mille Miglia’s golden age in the 1950s. It is a tonal khaki and eggshell white motif with black detailing. The only dash of color is the race’s logo near the center.

Of course, the dial is far more intricate than stamped chronograph dials from the 1950s. The segmented subdials, featuring a small seconds at 3:00, a 12-hour totalizer at 6:00 and a 30-minute totalizer at 9:00, have smooth lacquered chapter rings and snailed centers.

The stencil-style hour markers are printed in beige Super-LumiNova, matching the inserts in the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands. A printed black tachymeter encircles the dial, and a color-matched date window is tucked away at 4:30.

As mentioned above, the only visual acknowledgment of the chronograph’s titular landmark is a finely detailed engraving on the caseback. It depicts a historical scene of an early twentieth-century sports car approaching the scenic mountain pass.

Interestingly, the case, crown and piston-style pushers are made of Chopard’s proprietary Lucent Steel alloy, which possesses a brilliant luster, but the caseback is made of titanium.

Beneath the caseback, secured by eight small screws, ticks a COSC-certified ETA Caliber A322-11 automatic movement. It beats at 4Hz and provides a 54-hour power reserve.

Strapped in

The Mille Miglia Classic Chronograph Raticosa comes on a brown perforated calfskin racing strap with a matching Lucent Steel pin buckle and khaki side stitching. It is familiar from previous models with burgundy and pistachio dials, but has found its perfect match in the new tonal eggshell Raticosa dial.

One of the Mille Miglia’s principal rules is that participating cars must be produced in or before 1957. Accordingly, Chopard’s last two race edition chronographs, the 2026 and 2025, make far more sense than their modern-looking predecessors.

This year’s model, in particular, is the best fit for the esteemed Italian auto race.

When Nissan pulled the curtain back on the Z Proto in 2020, it amounted to quite a statement.

Though the previous 350Z and 370Z each adopted Fairlady proportions through their long hoods and fastback rooflines, neither one made for quite as obvious an homage. From its S30-inspired front end to its 300ZX-lookalike taillights, the new Z wears its history with pride.

Not content to settle there, Nissan is only continuing to lean into the badge’s legacy for 2027. As a result, it means that the new model is way more retro-inspired than you may even know.

A chip off the ‘ole block

This includes the outside of the car. For the 2027, Nissan is giving the Z a subtle but impactful facelift, a change that’s already made for big news this year.

As a result, it now wears a split grille that has it looking more like the brand’s darling S30 than ever. When Nissan first launched the Z, it featured its large mouth for improved cooling. However, tweaking the parking sensor maintained airflow while allowing for a horizontal bar.

Together with the badge atop the hood, it really adds to the old-school charm. Still, it’s the wheels that pull the look into focus, as they also make for visual homages to the Zs of old.

Specifically, the Z31. The new 19-inch RAYS wheels feature ten spokes in a star-like pattern that’s meant to evoke the designs of the 1980s 300ZX.

Rounded out by a fresh paint option, the 2027 Z even pulls from the colors of its predecessors. That’s because the new Shinkai Green Pearl is a rich hue that’s reminiscent of Nissan’s shade of Grand Prix green, yet another tie-in to the iconic 240Z.

Nissan’s historical Z influences don’t stop there, either. The brand has also made a couple of changes to the cabin, and that’s not even mentioning what offerings like the Heritage Edition also bring to the table.

For 2027, Nissan is giving Z Performance grade buyers the option of new tan interior upholstery. Once again, the color was carefully chosen because of its associations with the S30 palette.

While that’s an option that’s exclusive to just the one trim, all Zs will benefit from a new eye-catching startup animation (NISMOs get their own, too). It shows a progression of the Z lineage as a car appears onscreen, an ever-present reminder of the history you’re driving.

In any event, assuming Nissan’s 2027 Z still isn’t already enough for your Fairlady fanaticism, there’s likely still more nostalgia brewing behind the screens.

After first introducing the up-spec Heritage Edition in 2024, Nissan brought the option back last year. Upon return, it wore other Z-inspired goodies like retro ‘Twin Turbo’ graphics and a carbon fiber spoiler.

Granted, Nissan hasn’t announced anything just yet. Still, at the company’s current pace, I’d say it’s safe to expect more history appeals to shake out down the road.
