How successful commercials mean failure for us mere humans this holiday season.

Image via Wikipedia

Yes, that’s right. Playstation 3’s new marketing campaign is creating holiday headaches for women across the country… heck, maybe even across the world!

Playstation 3 has put out wonderful new television ads – so wonderful, it has some of us thinking this thing is the new nirvana. A gaming system that not only plays games, but connects to the internet… AND will download movies! This is quickly becoming the gift of choice for thousands of people everywhere… especially men.

So when Christmas time rolls around and gifts are being ripped opened… my husband, your boyfriend, her step-son, etc will be horribly disappointed if they see anything but a Playstation 3 from Santa.

And who can blame these guys?! I mean, just take a look at the ada. Having what appears to be a pretty neat product can only get you so far without a marketing campaign to back it up. Here is the specific commercial that is now making my husband ask for (or rather, demand) a Playstation 3 for Christmas.

But of course, Playstation couldn’t just be satisfied with that…with an ad that hits right at the heart of adult men. It had to try and sucker us women into their product, too.

These spots are fabulous for many reasons:

First, they are relateable. Each of the spots in their campaign portrays an average boyfriend, girlfriend, father, etc. And they’re all likable – especially the Playstation 3 guy. Who wouldn’t want to take him out for a beer?

Plus these spots don’t over-sell… they’re not “in your face”. These ads give us 30 humorous seconds and oh, by the way… are also trying to sell us something.

These spots are fun, quirky… making people think the product is also fun and quirky.

Now here’s a spot in their new campaign that I have not yet seen on TV.

And finally, here’s the Playstation 3 commercial that took a subtle tactic to advertise its price.

Fuel refills: everyone wants them. What's the best way to get them? Read on.

Farm Cash

Sadly, Farm Cash is the fastest way to get fuel refills. And we both know that Farm Cash is a hard thing to get ahold of. So your fastest choice in getting fuel refills is by using Farm Cash. Once you run out of Farm Cash, then you run into problems. As much as a disagree with paying for Farm Cash, it is an option if you really love the game enough.

Waiting it out

If you don’t want to spend your Farm Cash (which is certainly understandable, there are many other things you can buy that will last forever), you can just wait it out. Perhaps help out a friend on their farm while your fuel refills. It takes a while, but it will refill eventually.

Instead of going on FarmVille in one big chunk of time, you can also space out the time that you’re on it, that way your fuel has more chances to refill for you.

Alternative methods

You don’t need to use vehicles on your farm. Many people find buying/waiting for fuel refills is a waste of time (which it certainly can be), so perhaps don’t even buy any vehicles (or sell them if you have them). You’ll save/make some extra cash that way, and can just manually plant and harvest your crops.

At last. At last. Gamers & movie lovers can rejoice in the newest thing coming to their living room with as much convenience as a robotic beer dispenser.

Image via Wikipedia

Very soon, people with Playstation 3 will be able to stream movies and shows directly with their gaming console. And it’s free! Well, free if you’re already shelling out nearly 10 bucks for a Netflix subscription.

How soon? Looks like you’re going to have to hold out until next month – November 2009. Perfect timing to hit in time for the Thanksgiving holiday. You know, when everyone from grandma Myrtle to cousin Dean shows up to your house and there’s just no way you can entertain them all AND cook a delicious turkey feast.

Streaming movies with a game station is so innovative! Well, kinda. Netflix is actually already available to get through your Xbox. However, you must be a “gold member” – and not the Austin Powers kind. Xbox gold members pay a 50 dollar yearly fee to Netflix so they can prove their geek game skills across the globe, meaning they can game online.

Image via Wikipedia

So, why is this an orgy? Well, Netflix just opened themselves up to millions of more potential clients (is it too late to buy Netflix stock?). Netflix has about 11 million customers now. Add to that the 9 million people with Playstation 3 and the 25 million more world wide and you’ve got like eleventy-billion people there! (I’m not a math major but I’m sure my estimation can’t be too far off)

Does this new streaming capability mean the death of the DVD rental? I’m so glad you asked. Yep, but not anytime soon. You’ve got until about 2030 before Netflix may stop actually renting them out. (Does anyone else find it odd Netflix has a 20-year plan – I don’t even know what I’m packing for lunch tomorrow)

I’d say Playstation 3 is definitely living up to its slogan which is “It Only Does Everything”. Here’s a funny commercial to entertain your senses.

It may at times seem as though people are speaking a whole different language online, be it your friends, family or complete strangers. Here is a short guide covering some of the basics of internet language and jargon.

A Guide To Online Gaming

Gaming Lingo

If you’ve just submerged yourself in the world of online gaming it can seem as though everyone is speaking a whole different language. English is the main language spoken online, however there are hundreds of words that gamers use that will just make no sense what so ever to new comers.
While gaming, people need to communicate quickly and accurately. This has led to a huge variety of different words that you won’t see or hear anywhere else except online. One of the most common things that you’ll see in communication online is leetspeek. Leetspeak is also often used by internet trolls (someone who makes a nuisance of themselves intentionally to annoy others). Leetspeak is where letters are substituted for numbers and other characters to create something that resembles a word or letter. For example the word “the” could be wrote in leetspeak as, “t|-|3″ where the number “3″ is used to replace the letter “e” and “|-|” is used to replace the letter “h”. This stuff is generally easy to read as it was created with the idea of substituting letters with things that resemble letters. Another typical example of leetspeak is where instead of using letters, letters are spelt out phonetically. For example the common abbreviation of the saying, “Oh my god” online is “omg”. In leetspeak this can be typed as, “Oh Em Gee” where each letter is just spelt out. This is commonly used for emphasis or whilst mocking someone or something.
Grammar and misspelling are often changed in order to make something into leetspeak. Although not always, this bad grammar and bad spelling can sometimes be used for emphasis, irony or to mock somebody. For example, if in a game somebody was winning because they were cheating, a phrase such as, “Hay guise, dis guy iz so gud,” could be used. This could also be typed completely in uppercase again for emphasis or to purposely annoy somebody. Uppercase is also sometimes used in conjunction with the number 1, this is used to mock someone who acts childish, or in a non-intelligent manner, to imply that they are not able to press the ’shift’ key or turn ‘capslock’ off. An example of this would be, “OMG ROFL J00 GOT OWNED!!!111!!!1.” To further mock someone, these numbers are sometimes even spelt out, again to imply that somebody is not very intelligent. Instead of ending in, “!!!111!!!1″ it could end with, “!!!11!!!!eleven!!one!1″. Another common phrase is, “All your base are belong to us.” This phrase has become hugely popular and even spawned its own techno songs and various mixes after appearing in the game, ‘Zero Wing’ which was badly translated into english. Other common misspellings are ‘teh’ meaning ‘the’ and ‘pwn’ meaning ‘own’.
Another part of leetspeak is when a suffix, sometimes made up, is added to the end of a word to add emphasis. The most commonly used suffixes are: -xor (-xor can be added to the term ‘hax’ meaning hacks or hacker to make the word, ‘haxxor”) , -ness (-ness can be added to the term ‘lulz’ meaning ‘lol’ or ‘laugh out loud’ creating the word lulzness), -’d or -d(-d’s can be added to the word ‘owned’ meaning to beat someone quite badly or easily to make the word ‘own’d’ or ‘ownd’), -& (-& is used to replace -and, -anned and sometimes -ant. It can be used to shorten the word ‘banned’ into ‘b&’) , -z0r or -zor or -z0rz or -zorz (-z0r can be added to the word ‘pwn’ a commonly used misspelling of ‘own’ to make the word, ‘pwnz0r’ meaning to be the one who is doing the ‘owning’ or ‘pwning’) , -t (-t is used on words that end in -ed, words like ‘pwned’ can be shortened to ‘pwnt’) and -age(-age can be added to words such as ‘pwn’ and ‘own’ to make ‘pwnage’ and ‘ownage’ meaning the act of ‘pwning’ or ‘owning’). These suffixes are added to different verbs and sometimes nouns just to increase emphasis on the word, to change the tense of a word or to change a noun into a verb or a verb into a noun.
Abbreviations are common place on the internet. Some commonly used abbreviations are, ‘lol’ meaning ‘laugh out loud’, ‘rofl’ meaning ‘rolling on the floor laughing’, ‘lmao’ meaning ‘laughing my ass off’, ‘omg’ meaning ‘oh my god’, ‘wtf’ meaning ‘what the f**k’, ‘gtfo’ meaning ‘get the f**k out’, ‘4col’ meaning ‘for crying out loud’, ‘2g2bt’ meaning ‘too good to be true’, ‘afk’ meaning ‘away from keyboard’, ‘imo’ meaning ‘in my opinion’, ‘afaik’ meaning ‘as far as I know’, ‘brb’ meaning ‘be right back’, ‘cba’ meaning ‘can’t be a**ed’, ‘hs’ meaning ‘headshot’, ‘bs’ meaning ‘bulls**t’ and ‘btw’ meaning ‘by the way’. These abbreviations may not always be instantly apparent but if you’re not sure don’t be afraid to ask.
Although these are some of the so called rules of leetspeak, there are other words that are used that may not have any rules behind them. ‘Kek’ or ‘keke’ is sometimes used to express laughter. This is widely used by World of Warcraft players as it is orcish for ‘lol’ in game. ‘Noob’ or ‘n00b’ can be used to describe someone who is new or bad at a game. ‘Pr0n’ or ‘pron’ is used instead of saying ‘porn’ or ‘pornography’. ‘J00′ meaning ‘you’. ‘Zerg’ or ‘Rush’ meaning to overwhelm your opponent with speed, numbers or ease. ‘1337′, ‘leet’ or any leetspeak version of this can mean to be greater than the other players or to be part of the elite. ‘Camp’ meaning ‘to hold one position or area’. ‘Spray n pray’ meaning ‘to shoot wildly and constantly without aiming’. ‘Fanboy’ meaning ’someone who is obsessed with, or knows too much about a brand or franchise’.
These are some, but by no means all, of the weird and wonderful words you might come across in the realm of the internet. The bottom line is that people are creating new words every day so if you do not understand something that somebody has said either take a guess at what you think it means or ask. There will be people out there who will mock you for not understanding what they’re saying, but there are plenty of people out there who will happily fill you in. When you first start out you’ll probably not have much of a clue about what’s going on, but as you become acustomed to it, you will slowly pick up the language of the gamer.

Online gaming is becoming ever more popular as time goes by. With the huge, ever growing availability of internet access, games that range in price from being free to £50 and accessibility of wireless internet access mean that it’s quick and easy for everyone to get online and get in a game.

So why should you choose multiplayer gaming online over single player games? There are many arguments for both views, even with the huge following multiplayer online gaming has, some people do still prefer single player games.

Subscription costs are something that can keep younger players from playing online. Not only do you have to pay for internet access, but playing on Xbox live or the Playstation network and games like World of Warcraft require extra subscription costs per month which can be as much as £10. Most homes these days will have an internet connection anyway, so that at least can remove part of the cost for younger gamers, and for older gamers, internet access can come in a multideal package from most providers with cable television and a phoneline, again saving money. Although there are some games that require subscription costs, the bottom line is of course that you do not have to play these games or on these networks. A PC with internet access means you can access millions of free online games and many games you can buy come with the extra of online play. If you don’t have the money and still want to play online there are still plenty of options to choose from.

Unfortunately, one of the downsides of online gaming is just how competitive games can become online. Often, games will come with a ranking system or someway of keeping track of stats which will encourage people to be more competitive. This can be something that can put budding gamers off of playing online. However this is not as big a problem as you may at first believe. There are several gaming leagues and tournaments out there that keep the majority of the hardcore, super competitive gamers occupied. Many of the more competitive gamers prefer to play in these tournaments or leagues because they see it as more of a challenge which is of course rewarded with a higher sense of satisfaction upon winning. The few hardcore competitive gamers that do not stick to these tournaments and leagues however can be a blessing in disguise. It is possible to learn a hell of a lot from both playing against, playing with and observing these players. Chances are they will know a few tricks of the trade and spending a little bit of time playing against, with or even watching them can provide you with plenty of tricks to try and pull off yourself.

The fear of playing badly online is another deterrent to new gamers. But the truth is, no-one will be able to pick up a game, jump online and play it well. Sure, people who are fans of the genre will be able to play adequately, but they won’t be able to get a complete grasp of the game and play well until they’ve spent some time getting to know it. As the saying goes, practice makes perfect. There’s not a lot you can do to become better at a game aside from playing it. Single player and multiplayer alike it’s just practice, practice, practice.

Many people also fear that there will be repercussions for leaving an online game which is in the middle of a map or round if they have to go and do something like answer the phone or answer the door, or even if they just get bored. The truth is, games that punish you for leaving before the round or game ends are extremely rare. The lack of a pause ability can seem like it will be a problem, while some games support a pause system for online play, other games do have other methods you can use to leave the game, pc or console alone for short or even long periods of time. Many games offer a spectator mode, where the player will be transferred to spectator slot, here they are able to watch the game unfold and they themselves will not interfere with gameplay.

Playing online does involve interaction with other people all over the world. This is a huge benefit of playing online, you can meet and interact with a whole variety of people. Who knows, you might just learn something. Not only can playing online increase your social interaction skills, but the chances are that the other people who are playing online with you can teach you a thing or two not just about the current game, but about almost anything. You can learn about other cultures, languages, foods, music and sometimes you can even hear about big events that have happened before they reach the television and newspapers. Talking to these people online online and getting to know them can also be a huge confidence booster for those who are shy in real life. The ability to talk in game both by typing and by talking into a microphone has opened up doors to meeting a huge variety of people.

There are of course games to suit everyone. From action and shooters, to racing, football and other sports, to city building, tactical battles and even text based games, there is a game out there everyone can enjoy. So, if you’ve just gained an internet connection, or you’ve seen adverts for World of Warcraft or Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and fancy giving it a try, or even if you’re just like my sister who doesn’t see the appeal of playing games online, or if you’re like my mum who sits in the next room and wonders what the hell it is I’m talking about half the time and why I’m shouting obscurities at a computer screen then this series of articles might just be for you.

Violence in Video Games have long been a topic of debate. Many argue that violent video games influence players into being violent in real life. However, are the games really to blame?

Violence in video games has been a topic of debate for a long time. Many people argue against violence in video games, claiming that it has a negative influence on the players – that players will be influenced by the violence within the games into committing violent acts themselves. However, are the video games truly at fault?

Types of Violence in Video Games

Violence in video games come in many forms. First person and third person shooters typically involve the player-controlled character using a variety of weapons (primarily guns) to shoot down enemies. Fighting games like Street Fighter involve the fighters punching and kicking at each other until one of them has his life bar depleted. There are also the less-realistic animated forms of violence involved in games such as Super Smash Brothers and the Super Mario series. There are of course many other types of violence in video games – the ones I mentioned are just a few of the many. Of course, society views each of these types of violence in a different manner. Some are more socially acceptable than others. For example, there probably will not be any parents complaining of their children playing a Legend of Zelda game or a Super Mario game while many may have problems with their children playing games such as Gears of War or Call of Duty. However, there is a specific gaming franchise that has caused a much greater controversy than any other – Grand Theft Auto. The way in which Grand Theft Auto games realistically depict human-to-human violence has made these games particularly controversial.

The Facts

In 2003, two teenagers went on a fatal sniping spree, later claiming that they were trying to mimic scenes from Grand Theft Auto III. In the spree, one person was killed and another was wounded. There have also been cases besides this one in which Grand Theft Auto games may have been a large influence behind acts of violence committed by players.

Is this a problem? Yes. Are the games at fault? I do not believe so.

Analyzing the Problem

It is undeniable that video games, specifically Grand Theft Auto games, have played a big role in influencing people into committing violent acts. However, these cases are extremely rare. The truth is that almost all players will be able to play violent video games without turning violent themselves. The idea that the influencing occurs only in extremely rare cases suggests that the problem lies not in the games, but rather in the natures and characters of the influenced players. Perhaps those influenced player just happened to be of a character and nature that made them so vulnerable to the games influencing their actions in real life. It is difficult to blame the games when most players are able to get the full entertainment out of the games without having the games influence any of their real-life actions. It just happens to be that, on very rare occasions, a player will allow himself to be influenced into acting violently. It is like a side effect of a drug. It happens, but it is very rare. No one will try to bring down the drug company for the very few cases in which it does happen. Likewise, no one should try to bring down a gaming franchise for the very few cases in which a game negatively influences a player’s real-life actions.

The fact remains that almost all video game players are able to enjoy the full entertainment of violent video games with no problems. The games do what they need to do – entertain the players – without having any problems, except for a few very rare cases. In those few very rare cases, the problem is the player, not the game. Players should be aware of what they can handle and what they cannot. In the end, the players themselves should be responsible for their own gaming – and the potential consequences of it.

A look at the newest craze...

I bought my 11 year old son the DJ Hero game today. All $120.00 worth. And of course, I couldn’t get him to bed fast enough… so I could give it a shot. Which I did, for several hours. Like Guitar Hero and Rock Band before it, this is a game as much for the parents as it was for the kids; with some notable exceptions.

First of all, the dimensions of the equipment are more specifically designed for small people. I have fairly large hands, and it was, at times, rather awkward for me. The music will also be an obvious issue in the crossing of generational boundaries. With the guitar and band games, a parent had the option of musical selections from different eras. Games focusing on the Beatles, Metallica, and Aerosmith are of course going to appeal as much to a 40 year old as a 14 year old. The music from DJ Hero is obviously far more oriented toward a younger demographic.

But on to the game itself… Having never even seen a turntable up close, most people will not have the same frame of reference they did with a guitar or drums… everyone has played air guitar at some point, but has anyone air turntabled? The controls aren’t hard to grasp, at least concept wise, and once you have, the game is fun. I do like the brand of music offered, so that wasn’t an issue for me. Most of it was, in fact, rather good.

But after scratching for an hour or two, you realize that the same problem rears its head here that does with the other games. Guitar Hero: Metallica was rather exciting (being a huge Metallica fan) until I realized It was still just Guitar Hero with different songs. Same with the Beatles, Aerosmith, and other assorted songs. Eventually, you realize that there is only so much room for growth. The turntable does inject a bit of freshness into an already slowing genre, but in the end it’s just another instrument, and the end result will be the same.

There will no doubt be improvements made to the table itself over the next year or two, and it will, I imagine, be incorporated into the other games so that we can all play our favorite Linkin Park songs. But it is still just a temporary band aid on a bleeding brand.

It will be popular for awhile; in today’s ‘Gotta have the newest toy’ culture, it will make money. But I don’t expect it will have much of a shelf life.

A countdown of some of the scariest videogames around.

These days, the cinema isn’t the only place you can turn to for a spooky Halloween experience; thanks to games consoles you can feel the fear a little more… first hand. So here, in the third of my Halloween ton ten series, I’m going to count down the ten scariest videogames. Hold on to your controllers!

Clive Barker’s Jericho

Image via Wikipedia

Okay so the game-play verges on the impossible and sometimes it’s just as impossible to find out what exactly you’re supposed to be doing thanks to some highly illogical logic, but the atmosphere is suitably unnerving and the monsters are terrifically terrifying. Mr Barker’s unmistakable style may be better suited to books and films than interactive media, but, damn, I wouldn’t want to meet those staple-faced critters in real life!

The Clock Tower

Here’s one for the vaults, which I admit I haven’t actually played, though I have watched someone else play it, way back in the 90s, and boy did it give me nightmares. The forerunner of the survival horror genre and inspired by an equally disturbing Dario Argento movie, its creepy settings and intricate plot has inspired countless games since. Watch out for those scissors!

Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth

Image via Wikipedia

It’s good to see that H P Lovecraft’s eldritch creations still have the power to give people the galloping heebie jeebies, especially if those uncomfortable associations of misogyny and racism can be removed. Call of Cthulhu does just that, turning the vague gelatinous monstrosities of Lovecraft’s imagination into vague gelatinous pixel monstrosities. It might not be the greatest game in the world, but the monsters certainly conjure that particular sense of dread forever associated with the Cthulhu Mythos, and the neat madness mechanic, in which you have to keep just the right level of insanity to be able to see the monsters without taking a one-way ticket to the funny farm, ensures a nice novel touch.

The Darkness

Skipping effortlessly between absurd and gritty, since you yourself are the monster (or at least possessed by it) most of the time the Darkness is a fun-filled shoot-em-up, but once protagonist Jackie Estecardo, dies and is transported to a personal hell, one that looks almost exactly like the First World War trenches, then things get interesting. With weird Clive Barker-style versions of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and zombie Germans (yes, zombie Germans), along with creepy sound effects and disorientating lightning flashes, it’s nicely unsettling. Oh and then there’s the torture scene with a power drill. Ouch.

Dead Space

Imagine taking the atmosphere and setting of “Alien” but instead of one, half-seen monster you have dozens, and they’re all spooky alien zombies. Let me condense that: “Alien” with zombies. The monsters are suitably horrible and there’s plenty of gore, there’s even quite a good story, but it’s the atmosphere that really makes it work, making this enjoyable, edge-of-seat fare.

Left 4 Dead

I admit I’m not normally one for multiplayer games, partly because it’s very rare to find a game where it’s totally necessary to play through in multiplayer and still get to enjoy some semblance of storyline, but Left 4 Dead needs four people thundering at their joysticks like Gordon Freeman needs a crowbar. Nothing creates the “trapped in a building with the slathering zombie horde” experience like this. So, if the zombie apocalypse scenario is your pet favourite doom, this game will allow you to get some practice in before the ghouls start spreading.

Silent Hill 3

Neatly following on from the storyline of the first in the franchise, Silent Hill 3 is one of the most effective in the series. Added to that trademark creepy atmosphere, full of fog, pitch blackness and eerie noises (don’t you just hate that radio static?) is some really fabulous graphics, way ahead of their time, and some nifty plot twists. Who can forget the Other World theme park, complete with impaled-horse carousel? Plus, we have that rare thing in a videogame, a genuinely likeable and believable heroine. Lara Croft eat your implants out!

Condemned

Its graphics may look a little clunky now, but its gameplay, atmosphere and storytelling is still top notch. A combination of a strangely plausible, but never entirely explained, premise, terrifying settings and unpredictable, almost intelligent enemies which act as horrifyingly as they look, ensures you’ll play the entire game on the edge of your seat, quivering with fear. Oh and then there’s the spooky mannequins, but the least said about me and mannequins, the better! It’s a shame the sequel didn’t have that same subtlety of execution.

Bioshock

Art deco scenery and gallons of sea water may not be the most obvious recipe for pure terror, but Bioshock combined the two into an exquisite experience. Stumbling across gory tableaux almost every area, and with self-mutilated and self-mutated crazies leaping out at you in every other area, there’s plenty to keep the player on edge, and even once you’re used to a setting, there’s lots of creepy noises, atmospherics and even the occasional ghost to ensure you never get too comfortable. Continually at the mercy of the more rational loons and walking into decidedly unnerving traps, even the most beautifully designed setting will soon create a magnificent sense of dread. Eek!

Silent Hill 2

Image via Wikipedia

Yes, I’ve already had a Silent Hill game on this list but this masterful second instalment is certainly one of the creepiest games of all. Taking the bold step of all but ignoring the previous game, it allows the haunted town itself to take centre stage, toying with our hapless, and desperately neurotic, hero. Because, let’s face it, you’d have to be pretty loopy already to run around a ghost town in search for a dead woman! Daft though the concept may sound, it’s expertly put together: a gripping and intricate story that keeps you ploughing through those ghastly monsters to follow it to its conclusion. There’s a fabulous psychosexual reasoning behind those monsters which really elevates the game beyond the usual slasherama, and being trapped in a room with them is something quite unforgettable, from the vicious-sexy nurses to the great hulk of Pyramid Head. Okay so the gameplay’s still nigh-on impossible but James is an average Joe and should be as hopeless as you or I. But let’s just forget about that stupid rowing bit, hey?

Over 3 million copies fo this game have been sold to date, with the scheduled release still two weeks away. And, as is often the case with these blockbuster games, the tie ins will drain gamers’ wallets as well; everything from a 6 part comic book series based on the ‘Ghost’ character to the download-able maps available initially through Xbox online. Headsets, statues, and the $59.99 price tag; to enjoy the ‘full’ experience will set you back considerably.

So the question becomes… Is it worth it? Hard to tell until the actual release, but the indications are good. The franchise name is nearly without fail; it is to first person shooters what Final Fantasy is to RPGs and Madden is to Football games. It hasn’t let gamers down to date, and shows no indication of doing so.

If there is one risk, it is that of the Guitar Hero and Rock Band series, which have recently hit a creative wall; people are beginning to realize that there is only so much you can do with that particular format. It may be new songs, but it’s still the same old Guitar Hero.

The main difference here is that unlike the Guitar games, the Call of Duty games are carried as much by their intricate story lines as by the in depth game play, which has continued to evolve with each chapter. This time appears to be no different. Here is a sampling:

All initial appearances are that this will be one of those rare games that actually live up to the hype. We’ll keep our fingers crossed…

Love the Facebook game FarmVille, but hate the constant clicking? Well here’s the guide for you.

To start things off you’re going to want to download these two programs,

Cheat Engine 5.5 from – http://www.cheatengine.org/

And

AcTools from – http://www.actool.net/

Once you have those programs the next step is to go to this site,

http://www.geocities.com/wildafreaks2/farmville/

And use it to generate a macro for your farm by entering the correct size.

Now open Ac tools, select the entire code and copy paste the code from your browser into the ac tools box,

Now open up your Internet browser and go to your farm.

Open up Cheat engine and follow the steps in the next few pictures

Now go to your farm click start on the ac tools window.

Now make your farm full screen and sit back, the macro will select all your plots of land and Cheat engine will speed up the process. These steps work for harvesting, planting and plowing. (For planting just be sure to select what you want to plant from the market before you start the macro)

Until next time have fun and happy farming.
