ELISSA Youth Sail Training Returns to Seaport Museum August 21st

Texas Seaport Museum offers an award-winning youth sail training program that culminates in a daysail in March 2011. Students begin their training in September 2010, and continue through March 2011. Saturday meetings are generally scheduled on an every-other-week basis. The Saturday schedule includes working on the ship.

Now spreading to other parts of the island, ArtWalk occurs approximately every six weeks in existing commercial galleries, non-profit arts spaces, restaurants and retail shops. One of the Galveston Arts Center's largest programs, ArtWalk promotes visual art and artists, offers alternative places to see and learn about art, and welcomes visitors to the island's flourishing art community.

When Jason Carmichael finds himself searching for a new writing partner, Phoebe Craddock is not exactly what he has in mind. What evolves is a quirky kind of relationship - part romance, part friendship. Their collaboration eventually produces a string of successes, but their relationship is not always quite as successful. Either way, they are always entertaining and amusing, even at their most touching moments. Showtimes Thursday thru Saturday at 8pm, and Sunday at 2:30pm.
