It is just 1 inch in thickness and weighs just 1.4kgs but it does not imply that this MSI notebook is flimsy in its performance. It packs a Core i5 processor inside which offers it with great power and stability.

MSI X- Slim X360 runs on 1.06GHz Intel Core i5-520UM Processor built on Mobile Intel HM55 Express Chipset. It features Intel Turbo Boost/Hyper-Threading technology which ensures you great power. If you contradict me saying that powerful processor does not guarantee you strength then its 4GB of DDR3 RAM gives you a solid answer.

MSI X360 incorporates a 13 inch display screen with a picture resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. You can choose between 250GB, 320GB and 500GB hard drives to fulfill your data storage requirements.

This MSI machine offers you with 802.11n WiFi and Bluetooth 2.1 as connectivity options and also offers an integrated 1.3 MP webcam. Its long battery life is another factor which impresses us as it offers you with 9 hours of battery backup.

Undoubtedly, its rhombic and diamond designs make it a special and gorgeous machine but its powerful technical specifications take it to a different level. All and all, MSI X- Slim X360 strikes a perfect balance between portability, style, elegance and power. Presently, there is no official shout on its price and availability dates, but we will let you know once it is official.

What makes us even more suspicious is that it doesn’t seem to match the front facing iPhone 4G panel which we saw leaked not very long ago. The box may appear to look like Apple’s design however that iPhone 4G dock or stand really gives it away. The size of the screen makes it not too disimilar to the iPad. We don’t know if any of the previous speculations of an iPhone 4G are real so really its anyone’s bet!

They are available for pre-order now for $80 which is quite expensive given that they are not actually working lens! What makes the S10-3t tempting (at least for Windows users) is that it runs on Windows 7 and most users will be happy to stick with software that they’ve been using on their home desktop. While on the other hand, going for an iPad would mean having to adapt to a new OS and the only source of apps being the App Store. In a way the iPad is less open source. However, as you will see in the below video, the S10-3t with a swivel touchscreen gets abit too luxurious, given that it is still at the end of the day just a netbook. Check out the CNET video below…
Then you may find the recently released ASUS Cine5 PC speaker as one of the best options available. As per Asus, the compact speaker is the world’s first speaker to integrate accurate 5-channel output in such a small form factor.

The ASUS Cine5 PC speaker has been designed for use in smaller rooms with lack of space such as study rooms. It delivers highly vibrant surround sound perfect for personal entertainment and gaming. Also, the speaker is the world’s first PC speaker equipped with the novel “EmbracingSound Theatre HD” technology. Employing this patented technology the speaker produces rich 5-channel output with full HD surround sound. Thereby, the users experience dynamic audio output when they are directly in front of the speaker.

Applied in a first player shooter game, it improves shooting accuracy and extends gaming thrills by providing precise sound location. The Cine5 is capable of up-scaling audio from any down-mixed 2-channel source to 5-channel HD output, making your gaming or movie experience all the more enjoyable.

The Asus Cine5 PC Speaker represents a new-age design with curved shape and black glossy finishing to blend with most computer screens. The all-in-one architecture with an integrated array of speaker drivers not only saves space, it also reduces individual driver load by 50 percent for better sound dispersion and reproduction.

It was noticed that a smartphone supplied by Vodafone’s Spanish division was attempting to make a backdoor entry into the systems during the synchronization process to steal critical information.

The news became widespread as the customer affected is an employee of Spanish anti-virus firm Panda Security. The extra code had been devised to generate information from systems not concerned with the recent detaining of three suspected botmasters in Spain. However, Vodafone acknowledged the problem and claimed it to be a totally isolated incident.

Pedro Bustamante, the researcher at Panda Security who analyzed the attack confirmed the malware to be a Mariposa bot client. The botnet-control mechanism revealed that this malware belongs to a guy named ‘tnls’. Once it infects the systems, the malware sends a connection request back home to receive further orders perhaps to steal all data pertaining to user’s credentials.

The smartphone was also found to be infected by Confiker and a Lineage password-stealing code as per analysts at Panda. Vodafone stated that security and privacy of its customers are one of its top concerns. Following the incident they lunched an immediate investigation to find the root cause and concluded that this was an isolated local incident. These problems usually are a result of an infected computer in the manufacturing or production lines of the company.

Asus have established themselves over the years for making quality laptops that not only look good but also pretty dependable. What the PL30JT has to offer is the added attractive feature of being slim, though there are quite a few choices available when it comes to laptops thinner than one-inch, the PL30JT looks to deliver this as well as provide at the same time some powerful specs.

And it’s easy to see why Sega took its time bringing the game to Europe. On the one hand it’s a very good beat-em-up packed with cool gangsters, the sort of stuff which translates easily but on the other it’s basically an upperclass Japanese lifestyle simulator, which is understandably a much harder sell. You play, Kiryu Kauma, who spends his life alternately brutalizing thugs and dosing around swanky Japanese towns. This is a set against a relentlessly paced mob story that sees our man – the former head of the Tojo clan, now retired called upon a crisis hits his old gang.

The plot is tangled and the telling takes its time – there are literally hours of cutscenes here. Still, at least the translation is subtitled, rather than the godawful sub-American soap dubbing Sega used in the previous Yakuza. And the really good news is the upshot of all the HBO-style intrigue is fighting, Loads and loads of fighting. Your Yakuza can use a huge number of weapons and has some of the most brutal finishers you will see outside of Manhunt.

The basics seem limited initially, but that’s because the early enemies struggle to give the system a proper work-out. By halfway your foes became smarter and tougher, and real strategy comes into play. Kiryu can be leveled up almost constantly, which rather than simply boosting stats opens up new moves and styles: by the time you are drop-kicking thugs to the floor and following up with a crack to the face, the combat has completely transformed from cumbersome to Chuck Norris.
Technically, this isn’t actually a gadget giveaway because we are in fact giving away free cash (in the form of a £250 Amazon shopping voucher), but we reckon this is as good a giveaway as any! For you gadget fans, if you’re the winner, you’d be able to get your hands on a huge range of gadgets with this amount of money!

We’ve been sponsored this giveaway to promote a new site by Microsoft here in the UK. The new site is known as “Where’s the ‘Any’ Key?” and is a place designed for people to share their odd, funny, silly, awkward IT moments and stories in the past. Any visitor can randomly read through others’ stories or leave behind their own. The fun thing about “Where’s the ‘Any’ Key?” is that if your story is rated by others and chosen as the best story of the week, it gets turned into a comic strip where it will be featured for sharing and downloading.

Not everyone ‘gets’ computers. It’s a good job those more ‘IT literate’ people are around to help their friends and family with home IT issues! You see, they have to put up with a lot – while they do it all with a happy heart, they all come across ‘those’ situations that are so odd, confusing or downright funny that they simply HAVE to tell the word about it!

To be in the chance of winning this £250 Amazon voucher, all you have to do is follow the rules below. Participants are not obliged to leave your story but we do recommend you check out the site and share it with your friends and families.

Wicked Lasers are specialists in making high quality laser pointers, based in China, they have been designing, improving and re-designing their laser pointers to achieve perfection for a number of years. While we’re not clever enough to understand how lasers work, from using the new Evolution Pro laser pointer, we were quite amazed and intrigued at how powerful and indeed ‘wicked’ it was able to perform.

The Evolution Pro green laser pointer is just one of many laser pointers which Wicked Lasers have available. Its probably fair to say that it belongs to the low to mid price range in comparison to the others that Wicked Lasers have on their site. As mentioned, the one we tested was a green laser pointer but also available from other models include blue, red and purple. We were grateful to Wicked Lasers to have sent us not only just the Evolution Pro laser pointer but also the safety goggles. If you haven’t yet seen our unboxing gallery, check it out and see everything that we received…

Before we go on with our review, here’s the official Wicked Lasers product description of the Evolution Pro laser pointer…

The all-new Evolution Pro features a new microprocessor and dual LEDs, and a long clip for secure pocket carry. We took the rock-solid original Evolution Series and replaced its AAA battery system with a larger capacity AA battery system. The result is a longer-running, even more efficient version of this popular laser pointer.

The Evolution Pro cranks out up to 130mW and continues to generate coherent light for up to three hours on a single set of batteries. Evolution is inevitable.

Design

As soon as you pick up the Evolution Pro, you’ll find that the laser pointer feels extremely sturdy. Many gadgets we often review look sturdy but do not always feel and handle the same. It is very well made, in fact, its exterior is made of aircraft grade aluminum. While we’re not sure what laser enthusiasts usually get up to with their laser pointers, the Evolution Pro has a tactical clip which can only be a good thing in terms of convenience. The body of the laser pointer is abit longer than you would expect, however, considering that it needs to house two AA batteries, we weren’t annoyed about this in anyway.

What you can do with it…

Let’s face it, most gadgets in this world are tools that we don’t necessarily need and are mostly just luxuries to entertain us or make our lives function better. Laser pointers I believe fit the former. So here are a few things we tried out when we tested the Evolution Pro laser pointer, we only recommend readers to do what we did with caution and in a safe environment:

Melt bin bags: Yes you can do this quite easily, we did this several time. There is no doubt that this laser pointer (and we bet all the rest on sale at Wicked Lasers) is most then capable of melting thin plastic material just like bin bags. It was quite amazing to watch, as abit of smoke would soon start to appear as the bag gets melted! Wearing goggles is advised!

Pop through balloons: This is a relatively easy task for the Evolution Pro and again we do not doubt the rest of the laser pointers’ abilty in doing this. Its literally more of a melt rather than a pop!

Point the pointer as far as…: We weren’t quite sure how this could be measured, we waited til it was dark and pointed the laser pointer into the sky, of course there was no end, but it was pretty enjoyable to seen a nice long (very long!) green beam. What we did try though, was point at buildings from quite far away from an open field and it worked straight away. We reckon, if you can see the object from a distance then you’d be able to point a laser at it, this is how reliable it was and it has yet to disappoint us.

Snap strings: Considering that it could melt plastic bin bags, this wasn’t such a difficult task!

What you probably should do with a Wicked Lasers laser pointer…

Having take our Evolution Pro laser pointer out during the night for some fun. We have come to the conclusion that the following suggestions are advisable to those who are considering buying one of these, do not (unless you want to injure yourself or someone else or get arrested!):

Point at cars or planes

Point at animals

Use this at your work’s weekly meeting / presentation as a normal laser pointer – this is an entirely different pointer!

Lastly, try not to get too fascinated and point the laser at yourself in the eye, hands, face!

Conclusion

With the Evolution Pro laser pointer starting at $118 for the 20mW version, most will agree that owning one of these isn’t cheap. If you’re the type of person who is into the amount of function a gadget can deliver, you probably won’t even be considering a laser pointer. Undeniably, it is pointless to buy one of these. However if you have a good enough reason, (ie you’re a laser pointer enthusiast or if you’re considering buying one of these for your geeky partner) choosing to buy one from Wicked Lasers will not disappoint you. So far we’ve been pleased from the very beginning, from delivery, packaging, all through to the quality of their product as well as their friendly customer service.

Pros

Cool design

Uses top quality materal

Delivers what it says on the tin, points as far as you can see!

Good battery life, promising to provide a good few hours of fun on just two AAs

Cons

Costly
