Printing photos onto fingernails might have sounded like something from a sci-fi flick, but Chinese company INAIL has managed to envelop the concept into a real product that really works. This intelligent nail printer is all about visualizing the photo or pattern you’re intending to put on your nails, and the manufacturer has built and designed the entire product around this idea.

As you can see in the above picture, the INAIL S8 intelligent nail printer is mainly built from a metal material. The robust casing is covered in automotive paint finishes, meaning that the printer will also look stunning, not only perform so. The top half of the front panel is dominated by a 13.3 inch display with a 1600×900 resolution, which is a lot more than what other manufacturers include in their nail printers. That will enable you to see clearly and in beautiful colors whatever you are going to print.

As far as that aspect is concerned, you can choose from the patterns provided by the manufacturer, or you can use your own picture. INAIL S8 even includes a 5MP camera that can take a photo of you and print it on your fingernails. In case you don’t quite like the included patterns, you can easily edit them.

Printing the photos on the fingernails takes about 30 seconds (which is a brand new record in the Nail Art Industry), and the entire process is done using gels. To harden the gel, you can easily cure it with UV light.

Unlike many of the CES 2016 exhibits, this is more than just a proof-of-concept. The INAIL S8 nail printer is a product that you can actually buy this year. However, it doesn’t come cheap, as you’d have to shell $2,899 for one of these. That’s definitely not a sum everyone can afford to spend, but I’m sure that there will be a lot of singers and actresses with photos on their fingernails in the not so distant future. Hopefully, the technology will get cheaper in time and more gadget-loving girls will be able to get one.

#2: A Hello Kitty Snap Charm for $8, which fits a 7 1/2 inch wrist and only ships to the United States at the moment unfortunately, because it’s really awesome.

#3: This Rhinestone charm bracelet costs $15 and was made from vintage to contemporary components, giving it a slightly worn look, which actually makes it even cooler than something right out of the factory.

#4: Quite a special item which sots $299. Made out of Sterling Silver, Cubic Zirconia Stones, Black Enamel, 14k Rose Gold plated and 14k Yellow Gold Plated, it comes from a 1980’s collection, which means it’s quite vintage (thinking the 80’s is vintage makes me feel old), hence the price, although for big fans of Hello Kitty, it might not sound as too much for a truly unique item.
