Today - I filmed U.S. President Barack Obama's speech on foreign policy, drone, Guantanamo Bay detention center and the future of the global war on terrorism at the National Defense University.

I was a bit surprised to see behind me in line, Medea Benjamin, one of the founders of CodePink - the protest group infamous for wearing pink and disrupting Congressional hearings.

I was NOT surprised when she spoke out loudly at near the end of the President's speech. And I wasn't surprised that security allowed her to stay, until she was just too rude. A photo of her being hauled out of the speech just for expressing her opinions would have been a poor image for the White House.

Afterwards, I ended up confirming to many of my fellow reporters that yes, it really was Medea Benjamin because she was behind me in line.
