The Weinstein Company has premiered the trailer Tom Ford's A Single Man, the critically acclaimed film which has been receiving extraordinary praise since its premiere at the Venice Film Festival. A Single Man stars Colin Firth, Julianne Moore, Matthew Goode, and Ginnifer Goodwin and will be hitting theaters in mid-December for a brief Oscar qualifying run. I've been waiting to see a trailer for it because I have no clue what it's about. And I've got to say, this looks phenomenal, and it's frustrating that I still haven't seen it yet. The cinematography looks gorgeous, I really can't wait to experience this on the big screen. Take a look!

I don't know how, but in the last few years, the Broken Lizard guys have lost all their Hollywood support. No studio will make their movies anymore so they've gone the independent route. Their newest feature, Slammin' Salmon, premiered at Slamdance earlier this year, but didn't get a distributor until much later. Now it's finally hitting theaters in December, but probably not near where you live. Either way, Apple has released a new trailer for Slammin' Salmon and it still looks good. I love these guys for exactly who they are - a group of funny guys who love making funny movies. It's not for everyone, but I think it looks hilarious.

Universal has debuted yet another trailer for Nancy Meyers' It's Complicated, the adult comedy starring Meryl Streep, Alec Baldwin, Steve Martin, and a whole handful of others. We featured the first trailer for this back in August. This new trailer is pretty much the same - it tells the same story, has most of the same footage, except for a few new scenes (like the nude one at the end). I don't want to get in too much trouble, so I won't say too many bad things about this. Sure, it looks fun, I'm sure lots of people will flock to theaters to see it on Christmas Day, but I'll be skipping it. This is one movie I will be very happy not seeing this year.

Bam! First line: "Sam's dead!" Wow, Lionsgate is really throwing everyone head first right in to the thick of this. Yahoo has debuted another new trailer for Jim Sheridan's Brothers starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire, and Natalie Portman. We featured the first trailer for this back in July, but they've now released a newer, more dramatic cut (that plays like a sequel to Obsessed) to try and persuade moviegoers to see this movie in December. There's lots of screaming in the later half, but it still looks pretty good. I'll probably see this because of the cast more than anything. I just hope it's a great movie as well. What do you guys think?

Okay, so in the first unfunny teaser trailer for Despicable Me, we were never shown the main character. Now in this second trailer released today on Apple, we finally get to see what he looks like (that's him, the cheerful fellow at the top) and, well, it's not that exciting (and he kinda looks like Steve Carell, go figure!). Worst of all, this trailer doesn't explain any of the plot or story, as far as I know. It's supposed to be about Gru (the guy above) stealing the moon, not a villain rivalry. Instead, all we get is another two minutes of unfunny Looney Tunes antics that probably won't even be in the movie. All I can say is screw this crap!

Sony has debuted the teaser trailer for Salt, starring Angelina Jolie and directed by Phillip Noyce, their big action movie due out next July. So instead of Wanted this summer, we'll be seeing Angelina Jolie become a female Jason Bourne in Salt. And after watching this trailer, I have to say that's perfectly fine by me, as it looks pretty badass. Throw Mission Impossible into the mix, too, as this looks like they took the best of all three super spies (Bourne, Hunt, Fox), made him a her, and put her into her own movie. For a teaser, this looks great. It'll definitely be one of the summer movies I'm looking forward to seeing. Same with you?

One final trailer for Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes has hit the web this morning, courtesy of our friends at MTV. If you've seen the first trailer and the second TV trailer, you've pretty much seen everything already. There is some new footage, lots of it, in this trailer, and it looks great, but after watching it I felt like I was about to cross that line of having seen too much footage. There's a bit more to the story in this, the effects look much more finished, and overall it looks much more polished. I'm very excited to see Sherlock Holmes, it will probably be the highlight of the holiday season (along with Avatar), but now we've just got to wait.

Disney has finally debuted the first trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, based on the video game of the same name, on MySpace. Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Prince Dastan alongside of Gemma Arterton as Tamina, Alfred Molina (who we get a brief glimpse of in the trailer), Ben Kingsley, and Toby Kebbell. This looks pretty frickin' awesome, I must say, even despite all the concerns about Gyllenhaal playing the lead, it looks great. I'm a sucker for these types of epic adventure movies and anything Jerry Bruckheimer produces and this certainly fits the bill. But of course, I'm not the one it has to impress. What do you guys think?

DreamWorks Animation has just debuted the first official trailer for How to Train Your Dragon on this lovely Monday morning. This is the new DWA movie we've been making fun of for a while but now that we have a trailer, I've actually got to say it doesn't look too bad. The voices, as usual, seem a bit out of place, but maybe that's because I always just prefer to hear a voice I've never heard before, not one that I have. Though the one question I do have is if the plot has been changed. I thought this was supposed to be about capturing dragons, not a boy who finds one that he wants to keep alive? I'm not sure. Either way, enjoy the trailer!

This trailer is only for hardcore fans of Zhang Yimou (Hero, House of Flying Daggers) and those who don't need any English subtitles! Twitch has dug up the first trailer for Zhang Yimou's Amazing Tales: Three Guns, his remake of the Coen Brothers' first film Blood Simple. It may not have subtitles yet, but it looks quite fun anyway. And its got everything you'd expect from a Coen Brothers remake - double-crossings, cheating, lying, death, and plenty of good humor. I'm actually looking forward to this, even if it looks a bit wacky, primarily because it's Zhang Yimou and he always delivers very visually stunning films. Check it out!

You may have already seen this, but if not, here's your chance. If you have, well, watch it again. Earlier this week the official trailer for Paul Greengrass' Green Zone starring Matt Damon hit the web. It was a great trailer but most people complained that it looked too much like another Bourne movie. Later that same day an international version of the Green Zone trailer hit MSN. It's a different trailer that presents the story in a more coherent and progressive way. It still looks a bit like another Bourne movie, but it's actually a better trailer than the first. Knowing even more of the story, I'm actually more excited to see this. So check it out!

The Weinstein Company has debuted a second, brand new trailer for John Hillcoat's The Road adapted from the beloved Cormac McCarthy novel. A lot has changed since the first trailer for The Road debuted in May - mainly that lots of critics and people have finally seen the film (including me, read my review). It not has great buzz and confirmation that it stays true to the themes of the book, including that they never reveal why the world is the way it is, and so on. This new trailer captures how depressing and bleak and hopeless the film feels, which sounds bad, but is actually one of the many reasons why it's such a wonderful film.

It's here! Fox has finally debuted the epic 3 ½ minute trailer for James Cameron's Avatar in glorious high def today on Yahoo. This is the trailer we've been waiting for, the one that finally shows that there's more to Avatar than just giant blue Na'vi aliens, that it's a story about love and survival and the importance of life. And it looks absolutely incredible. I think this could be one of the best trailers of the entire year, it's truly epic, and truly exciting. Many of you may have seen this trailer in theaters over the weekend, but now is your chance to voice your opinion and see it again. Without further ado, watch the new trailer below!

I didn't expect we'd see a trailer for this film this quickly, but alas, here it is. The first trailer for Sam Taylor-Wood's Nowhere Boy, the biopic about a young John Lennon, has debuted on YouTube (via The Playlist). This actually looks fantastic, even better than I was expecting. It definitely seems like Taylor-Wood made the right choice picking Aaron Johnson to play Lennon and I'm also impressed by how quickly the young Thomas Sangster has grown up. He looks a lot older in this as Paul McCartney than he did in Love Actually. Whether you're a fan of The Beatles or not, I suggest you watch this trailer anyway. You'll find it below!

This new trailer for Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, presented by SpikeTV, doesn't deserve as much hype as it's getting because it's basically a remix or rehash of the original teaser trailer first put out in July. That said, since it technically is a brand new trailer, I'm featuring it anyway, especially because the hype for this movie is (or rather was in July) through the roof. I'll be much more excited once we get to see an actual full-length trailer with finished visual effects and a shot of Alan Rickman as the Caterpiller - that is what I need to make me go crazy with excitement for this new Alice in Wonderland. So anyway, give this a shot.

Is this 2009's Best Picture? Warner Brothers has debuted the official trailer for Clint Eastwood's Invictus tonight on Apple in HD. I think with Eastwood directing you never know what to expect (especially for Gran Torino), but this looks like it promises to be quite an incredible film. Invictus stars Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon (who we also saw earlier today in Green Zone) as rugby player Francois Pienaar. At first glance, it looks like Freeman should be getting an Oscar nomination out of this, as should Eastwood. Let's just hope his pacing isn't off in this one. Without further ado, check out the Invictus trailer!

After delaying the release for a few months, Universal has finally debuted the first official trailer for Green Zone, directed by Paul Greengrass and starring Matt Damon, Jason Isaacs, Greg Kinnear, Brendan Gleeson, and Amy Ryan. This is the first we've heard about this project since the first photo arrived last July. And surprisingly it looks a lot better than I was expecting. I guess I should trust in Paul Greengrass - he usually always delivers a solid action film, especially when paired with Matt Damon (hint, hint). Anyway, this trailer has now made Green Zone one of my most anticipated movies to see next March, so be sure to check it out!

I don't exactly know what's going on in this, but I must thank Quiet Earth for finding this beautiful trailer and sending it my way. Tonight I'm featuring the trailer for Gary Shore's The Cup of Tears, a gorgeous CGI hybrid samurai sci-fi movie being made in Ireland. This was shot on the Red camera in Slovenia and is simply referred to as a "visually rich modern fairytale." That's all you really need to know before watching this, just let the visuals take you in from there. It looks kind of like a stunning combination of Sin City, an anime, and Speed Racer, in a way I suppose. Really, I don't know what else to say, so just check this out!

Follows a scorned geisha who creates a magical cup made of tears that causes any man who drinks from it to fall into a permanent sleep. One night the cup is stolen, setting off a chain of events that threatens civil war amongst the clans. Taro, a gifted samurai, sets out to find the cup and one who can break the spell.

The Cup of Tears is being directed by Irish filmmaker Gary Shore, of only a film called The Draft previously, but also of quite a few commercials and other work (visit his website: garyshore.com). This is being finished in Ireland and is not an Asian feature, despite being very heavily influenced by that style. As far as we know, this doesn't have a distributor yet, so stay tuned for updates. Earlier this week I was introduced to a small genre of film that I didn't know existed - Southern Gothic. If you're unsure of what exactly that means, like I was at first, just check out this trailer and you'll completely understand. Russ from SlashFilm recently pointed out this trailer for That Evening Sun that stars Hal Holbrook, Ray McKinnon, and Mia Wasikowska (who plays Alice in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland). It looks like Hal Holbrook can still deliver an oustanding performance. I was moved by his work in Into the Wild and it looks like this will be great thanks to him as well. Anyway, I've said enough, just watch this.

Watch the official trailer for Scott Teems' That Evening Sun:

Overture Films has debuted a second new trailer today (on YouTube) for The Men Who Stare at Goats starring George Clooney and Ewan McGregor. Although I didn't like this movie at all (I saw it back at the Toronto Film Festival), I will continue to support it. Overture knows how to cut one hell of a trailer and the first one and this one are both great trailers. But be warned, they're a bit deceptive, as this isn't the all-out comedy you're probably expecting it to be. It's not a terrible movie by any means, Clooney and McGregor actually do a good job, it's just not that funny at all. But that's just my opinion, so check it out and enjoy!
