The 3 minute video shows composer Ludwig Göransson working on creating the score with a few other musicians. I won't be surprised if he wins another Oscar for this just like he did with Oppenheimer. He explains that Chris Nolan asked him to highlight two specific Greek instruments: the aulos and lyre. Nolan's take on Homer's iconic ancient Greek poem, The Odyssey is a mythic action thriller shot across the world – the entire film is shot on IMAX film cameras bringing this foundational saga to life grander than ever. This next story is also set in Italy, but this time it's in Venice. Indebted to a local feline mob kingpin, a black cat named Nero finds himself forced to forge an unexpected friendship that may finally lead him to his purpose. Mark Ruffalo has joined the voice cast in the lead role as the scrappy black cat named Nero, and Laurence Fishburne will voice the ruthless mob boss cat Rocco. The teaser trailer introduces Nero and Rocco as they question another cat in a funny interrogation scene. No other voices have been confirmed yet. This will hit theaters starting March 2027 early next year. And I'm already looking forward to it! As a huge fan of Casarosa's Luca, I cannot wait to see his second Pixar film. While they did bring back Dwayne Johnson to also star in this as Maui again, they recast the lead role and it will star actress Catherine Laga'aia as Moana instead of the original voice Auli'i Cravalho (who is still involved as an executive producer). The cast also includes John Tui as Chief Tui, Frankie Adams, Rena Owen, & Gramma Tala. In ancient Polynesia, when a terrible curse incurred by the demigod Maui reaches Moana's island, she answers the Ocean's call to seek out Maui to set things right. "The ocean chose her for a reason." This is all the same footage you know and love just turned into full-on CGI "realistic" footage, with almost every frame filled with fully rendered VFX in addition to the actors. First published on Shonen Jump+ in 2021, the manga sparked buzz upon its initial release in Japan, recording 2.5 million views on its first day, and climbing to over 4 million views in two days. Kore-eda's adaptation of Look Back follows the 2024 animated movie adaptation of the same name, which was the feature directorial debut of director Kiyotaka Oshiyama (view the trailers here). The story follows two manga artists, the brash Fujino and the reclusive Kyomoto, who meet & develop a close bond over making their own manga. This is the tale of a man swallowed by a whale. But instead of being unrealistic or fantastical (like in the Pinocchio story), it's an actually realistic and unsettling look at what would happened to someone if this really happened. Adapted from the novel of the same name written by Daniel Kraus. "The odds of being swallowed alive by a whale are not zero." A scuba diver searching for his father's remains in the ocean is swallowed by a sperm whale, leaving him an hour to find a way to escape. The hard-earned lessons that his late father imparted may be the key to his escape. Reminds me of other contained survival thrillers like Buried and 127 Hours. Whalefall stars Austin Abrams as the diver eaten by the whale, along with Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd. This is such an intense teaser! Wow! I am still amazed they actually decided to film this realistically, with all the thrills of Scuba diving and mystery of underwater creatures. Neon has unveiled the first look teaser trailer for an acclaimed new documentary film titled Once Upon a Time in Harlem, set for a release in limited US theaters starting in October in the fall later this year. It first premiered at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival, and also recently stopped by Cannes playing in the Directors' Fortnight sidebar section. Once Upon a Time in Harlem is actually a film that was made in the 1970s by the brilliant Black American filmmaker William Greaves, who passed away in 2014. Finding the lost in time footage, his son David Greaves put together all of the shots (filmed on 16mm originally) and finished the film - a fascinating documentary introducing us to the most incredible collection of individuals who gathered for a party in 1972 in Harlem. The party took place at jazz maestro Duke Ellington's townhouse in NYC and was filled with living luminaries of the Harlem Renaissance, an event he regarded as the most important he captured on film. Greaves invited every last participant he could locate. Many had not seen one another for decades. It takes us into that experience and it's truly unforgettable. Prime Video has revealed their full official trailer for the highly anticipated comedy series Elle, a prequel / spin-off show based on the Legally Blonde movies (they made 3 in total). "From the world of Legally Blonde comes Elle." It goes back to her early days when she was in high school as a much younger Elle Woods. Newcomer actress Lexi Minetree stars in this series as Elle, because she's a near perfect younger Reese Witherspoon lookalike. In Season One, Elle follows her in high school as we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film (released in 2001 by MGM which is owned by Amazon now hence this series being there). The Elle series cast also includes June Diane Raphael & Tom Everett Scott as Elle's mother and father, along with Chandler Kinney as Kimberly, Jacob Moskovitz as Miles, Gabrielle Policano as Liz, and Zac Looker as Dustin. Reese Witherspoon is an executive producer, of course, but she's not actually in this at all. This is an interesting spin on the Elle Woods story because after she moves to Seattle, she realizes that pink isn't a personality. Or perhaps she'll push back?
