Walking In Your Footsteps is a non-profit organization dedicated to supplying high quality footwear to children in Costa Rica that they need to attend school. Uniform requirements on the Caribbean coast, the poorest area of Costa Rica, mandate that children wear closed-toe black shoes to school. Many children miss school because their families cannot afford to buy these shoes. We will have a table at the F4 Festival to collect lightly used black shoes in sizes appropriate for children of all school ages. Also useful are soccer cleats so more children can get involved with local organized sports opportunities. In addition, we will be selling handmade merchandise (great gifts for Mother’s Day!) to fund the transport of the shoes. Contact Jody at footsteps.cahuita@gmail.com for more info or other drop-off location. Thanks for your support!
