Synopsis (from Drama-Wiki):
The story revolves around a young woman named Mei, who was rescued as a young girl by someone calling himself her “butler.” With only a vague memory, though, the experience seems like just a dream. But one day, after her parents’ accidental death, he appears: Rihito comes from a line of outstanding butlers, and he has been appointed to serve her! Now her ordinary life has completely flipped, as she discovers that she’s actually the heiress to a fortune, and is forced to transfer to St. Lucia Girls’ Academy, where all the students have butlers! As a result, her childhood friend Kento decides to enroll in a butler school so that he can stay close to her.

Okay, well that synopsis is the most basic way to explain this show… but there’s SO MUCH MORE!  Like other than the fact all these high school girls attend the most prestigious school in all of Japan, and are served day and night by a butler, could this also be an underlying tone for a how a man should be treating a woman, wanting to only serve one lady for the rest of his life? But wait… these butlers… THEY WANT TO SERVE these women.  It’s what they’re taught to do, what they choose to do… (so unlike any man I’ve ever met).  SIGHHH…  What about the closeness of some of the butlers themselves… possible gay undertones?!  AHh, the Japanese know how to keep things interesting… even with the most random.

I really enjoyed this dorama, I’m a little upset that I didn’t bother to watch it sooner… but now I can read the manga and hopefully get a little more of the story that they couldn’t fit on the live action!  And personally, I’d prefer Mei to be with Kento (Takeru) than Rihito (Hiro) but whatever, the story was still cute.

So this tamaki business, never dealt with it before.  It’s pretty complicated.

Looks easy right?  Well considering how sticky the rice is and that there’s some spicy mayo up in it– the whole process was foreign and messy.  I never realized the lengths they took to keep the nori completely separate from the rice so that it stays crispy.

But anyway, about the KitKat!  If you know me, I’m completely smitten by the idea that Japanese KitKat’s come in other flavors than what we get here in America.  The flavor I found today is KitKat Cookie+ (yes, cookie plus…idk).

Not only do I love assorted KitKat flavors but I love how the Japanese package their products.  So cute and convenient, I can keep this at my desk and when I’m in the mood for a little chocolate, just pop the box open and grab one!  Instead of having to open the box and tear the foil to expose the whole candy bar, these are smaller and each kitkat is sealed.

The taste of it is like a regular KitKat, but with less chocolatey-ness and a cookie-like texture.  Sorta like it’s less crispy (regular kitkats) and more crunchy, like a cookie.

Question is, when you’re out in the wilderness… would this be comfortable to actually sleep in?  It might be better to have in case you have to run away from a bear who attacks you when you’re sleeping but otherwise??? Hmm.
