A friend gave me one for Christmas, along with some wonderfully minty handmade soap. And this hand towel is just TOO CUTE. And I want more. ; ) Of course, it’s not in stock online. =\ I’m hoping I can find some more in the store at Walmart.

Because even though the colors in my kitchen and dining room right now are mostly black, white, and red (and small amounts of brown), I really like the idea of adding more color with some blue and some green. I recently bought these measuring cups at our local HEB and they hang on a hook in plain sight. I’ve been thinking about adding more of these colors into the kitchen somehow anyway. ; )

Aren’t they cute? Oh, and look! While looking for a picture online I found matching measuring spoons.. I’ll have to remedy their absence in my kitchen soon. ; )

I’ve already seen links for DIY chalk painted coffee cups on Pinterest… and now I’m thinking I could add the colored bands, too! (But at the bottom of the cup, not the top where you put your mouth, and leave the top 2 inches or so unpainted by chalk paint, too.) I think I like this…  = )

Of course.. if I can’t find the above towel set in stock somewhere, I could always just stick with something that already matches what’s already in place. ; )

Or you could say it’s Valentine-y which is related to love which is related to my love of coffee.

Except that it really isn’t (Valentine’s Day related - is it? You decide…)

A big thanks to my mom who shared this product with me, an item pitched in an email as a “gift for Valentine’s Day.” It’s kind of disturbing but also funny. In a disturbing kind of way.

Though I’ve seen it before, I really quite enjoyed watching the following segment on coffee farming at Mountain Thunder. I’d forgotten how many coffee beans it takes just to make a pound of coffee!! Let that serve as a reminder that no coffee shall go unconsumed. Down with coffee wasting!

Of coffee, that is. It’s a terrible, terrible thing! I’ve managed to catch up on my Gevalia stash and now I’m impatiently waiting for my next order.

I *could* go in and bump up the order date but I need it to stay where it is so the auto-draft lines up with payday. Or I *could* get some coffee at the store, and I may get a little bag next time I’m there, but I’m not making a trip just for that. So until then.. I’m out, out, out.

Truthfully, I’m not completely out, I still have two boxes of decaf.. But that hardly counts, does it?! So I’ve been living on hubs’ instant (OrganoGold) and hot tea.

It’s just not the same…

This morning I had one more scoop of coffee beans left in the bottom of the bag so I went ahead and added them to the grinder, knowing it would make the coffee stronger but I did it anyway. OH MY GOODNESS I wish you could have seen the look on his face! It’s actually quite funny, the faces he makes.

What’s also funny is that I used to think that I didn’t like strong coffee, either. And I still think that coffee from fast food restaurants is way too strong. But the difference is that now I just add more sugar and cream and drink it anyway.
