Thanks, that's what I have but I took it back to the dealer and they said NO satellite radio on my flex. I will be checking more into that.

just took delivery of 2010 flex limited great car ....picked up car it was raning so we could not look over car ..well 2 days past so i decided to clean it their were scratches in the rims looks like it happned when they were mounting the tires at the factory...called dealer they told me that their is nothing that they can do becuse it has been a few days...ford will not do anything ...the scratches are about 5 inches long two of them close to the lip... any ideas ...or will have to just suck it up and move on its not that noticable but i know its their though

You may not believe me but I bet you $50 is them. Did you inspect the brakes and see the grease there when they did the service? Ask them to do it right again and show you the grease in place. Then tell them that if grease dissapears you will never go back He's the typical old school (read ignorant) S.M. that tries to blame the customer for problems they can't resolve. I don't know why you keep going to the same place again. You really have a lot of patience man!

Went by the dealer today. They had not contacted me with my ETA yet. Last week they said that they thought it would be here by the end of this week. Well I went by today and they showed me the print out that said Dealer ETA week of 11/25/09. Damn it thats the week of Thanksgiving. I had really hoped to have my car for a road trip BEFORE then. I let them know I was not happy! So we are looking at from 11 to 12 weeks from when I ordered my car to delivery. 3 months is a really long time to wait on a car. On top of it my coupon for $750 off expires Sunday!

I didn't really understand the reason for your request but I did a little research and I think I understand better now what you need to do and know.

I'm guessing you need the 3rd row seats to be flat all the time. I really have no idea how much weight they can handle folded. From the video you might actually have to have one seat or part of it removed to make sure the lift is mounted to the floor and not the folded seat.

Some rear width dimensions of the Flex are deceiving as the width of the opening does not necessarily extend all the way inside. I hope the following helps.

I believe the problem lies within the DVD player video decoder. I connected an external DVD player (set to 16:9 aspect ratio) to the AUX video input and was very surprised (and pleased) with the results. 16:9 material filled the screen and 2.35:1 material had small horizontal black bars as it should. The image was much sharper as well. I did not have any 4:3 material to play but I suspect that if I were to play a 4:3 movie I would need to use the PILLARBOX option. After doing some research I believe the menu aspect ratio options to be correct and the owner's manual to be incorrect. This was copied from Wikipedia:

"Academy ratio (1.33:1, or 4:3) film or video is sometimes stretched to fill a widescreen (16:9) television display, resulting in distortion in which actors appear shorter and fatter. This horizontal stretching distortion can be avoided by pillar boxing the image, effected either in the television set or in the video player, e.g. a DVD player."

"Letterboxing was developed for use in 4:3 television displays before widescreen television screens were available, but it is also necessary to represent on a 16:9 widescreen display the unaltered original composition of a film with a wider aspect ratio, such as Panavision's 2.35:1 ratio."

The dealer is going to look at it tomorrow. I doubt they will do anything about it.

You should review your order this time with new Flex to be sure they are going to give you AWD with Eco Boost instead of plain AWD and you have to trade in the 2nd time. Don't get me wrong the more times you trade in the better since your custom designed Flex look very nice. I shown it to my girlfriend and she loves it. Most women love the purple or lavender color. Which dealership in SD you trade in? Wondering if I can make them an offer for my girlfriend. It is hard to find one with purple color and all the custom design.

with the seat heater on high, the butt and lower back definitely heat up. If your back isn't heating up then there's a problem. The upper back doesn't seem to heat up much so I don't know how far up the seat the heating elements go, but they do go up the seat not just in the butt.

2010 factory DVD headrest question

Thanks for the input. Can any say for certain that the factory installed headset DvD (2010 of that matters) are hard wired to the stero.

It seems given car noise the best option to some, is headphones even over surround sound.

Sorry to hear about your accident! I can relate! In May I was leaving Mickey D's on my lunch break making a left, a guy next to me in a big Chevy w/ a 30' flat trailer pulled up to make a right, to make a long story short his trailer swung around and hit the passenger rear quarter panel, leaving me w/ a busted tail light, a hole in the rear quarter panel, and some really bad scratches! My Flex is white platinum tri-coat (looks like mother of pearl), I took to the dealership, and I also was very concerned about my sparklies but they did a great job and no one can tell the differance!

I am in AZ too. If I recall correctly my sticker said it was built 7/17. I believe I picked it up around 8/11 or so. Based on that you are looking at the first week of December??

F that.. You should not pay a dime.
Those pieces are not secured down properly on a lot of the Flex. You can push on them and see them go in and out. Cheap ass and poorly attached.

I do know they had people look into those pieces not attaching/ aligning properly at manufacture and I was told a fix/change was made.

Having said all that let the dealer know it was sticking up in the first place.
