Thar be a special Seed Part Challenge a-goin' on now through 22 September. Captain Blue offers a nice prize for the swab who takes up the challenge and can prove themself as a master craftsman. A lone pirate rows a red boat near an Imperial outpost guarded by a soldier and an officer. This small rocky fortress features a jail, cannon, and parapet.

Various accessories such as a flag, cannon balls, oars, musket, pistol, and sabers are included. The white castle turret element is only found in this set.

The HMS Gauntlet

Cove member Gerard Joosten, aka Elephant Captain in our forums, has put together a 20-gun frigate called theHMS Gauntlet. Custom sails, using the logo from the original LEGO Imperial Flagship (set 6271) are wonderfully done here, along with a full crew of soldiers and sailors.

Per our last meeting at the 'Court, our categories have changed up this round. In celebration of the upcoming LEGO �Pirates of the Caribbean� theme, we are pleased to feature an equal number of categories in both the "Pirates of the Caribbean" and Traditional LEGO Pirate themes!

Oft' imitated but ne'er duplicated, the JRC be the best contest for LEGO Pirate MOC creativity and inspiration, and unlike other annual contests we offer an excellent selection of contestprizes! Many LEGO Pirates sets are treasure for the taking! And, to the best builder of them all, goes a very special prize: Set 6285 - thebBlack Seas Barracuda/b!!

It be up to you to challenge yourself and to build ye best! Everyone, even with a limited supply of bricks, should be able to enter several categories. Creativity and imagination is what counts, not who owns the most LEGO.

Caribbean Clipper was released in 1989 for the Imperials. Governor Broadside commands his flagship with a crew of three sailors.

The ship features one main mast with sails, two cannon, an anchor, yellow parrot figurehead, rudder, and open stern captain's quarters. Various accessories such as a treasure chest, treasure, map, flags, goblet, and weapons are included.
