As a preparation for AFC challenge cup qualifiers, Nepal will be playing friendly matches against Pakistan at Dasarath stadium on Wednesday. The match will start on 2:30 PM. Kantipur Television which has official rights for ANFA matches will be broadcasting the friendly live on TV.

The second match of Euro 2012 is between Russia and Czech Republic. Russia seems to be a favorite in Group A but we can expect a tough competition from Czech Republic. The match is considered by many as the battle for top two spots in Group A. Talking about previous meet, they have played only once in Euro 1996 where the match ended 3-3. AFC Challenge Cup 2012 will be held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 8 March 2012 to 19 March 2012. A total of 8 teams will be competing in the tournament among whom the winners will qualify for the Asian Cup 2015. The matches will be two played in Two venues - Dashrath stadium and Halchowk stadium both located in Kathmandu.

The tournament will be played in Round-robin / Knock-out format. Eight teams are divided into two groups among which two from each will qualify to semi-finals then to the finals. The third place play-off will also be played.

Nepal registered victory over Bangladesh after 18 years as Sagar Thapa - Nepali Captain scored at extra time. With the win, Nepal are the leading the group table with 4 points and are in the verge of qualifying for the final. Nepal had drawn 1-1 against Maldives in the first match.

Liverpool captain Stephen Gerrard and Bayern striker Miroslav Klose are at the top on the Champions' League 2008-2009 top goal standings. Porto's Lisandro Lopez along with Barcelona's Lionel Messi are on the 2nd spot as they are still alive in the cup. Manchester United seems to be very back in this frame as their striker Berbatov is quite a distance apart from the top scorers.
