I have been making coffee at home for most of my adult life. Some days the results are good and other days... not so good. Try as I might, finding the right formula for a really good cup-o-Joe has eluded me all this time. Some days, after pouring the first cup, I thought I had it, but the next day... nope, something is different.

To learn how to read a recipe completely and then turn it into a finished masterpiece is a skill that many chefs strive for but only some achieve. While it may make sense to some people to start at the beginning of the recipe and read it entirely this does not always happen. It is easy to miss a small but important ingredient that can make all the difference in the taste. You really need to spend the time to go through the whole recipe before you start.

Every year vast numbers of chickens are raised and killed internationally - with 488 million slaughtered in Australia alone. The suppliers who work closely with their chicken farming businesses, making requests of exacting standards, are the best suppliers to work with. Chicken meat was expensive when I was young, but today it is one of the 'cheapest' meats available - and it is the use of factory farming methods that has led to it being cheap. Chicken that is free of antibiotics and raised in cage-free environments and processing plants that do not litter the good taste of the chicken with additives and preservatives let you know you've got a good supplier.

It's time to set the record straight about fair trade coffee and other products that are grown and harvested under the Fair Trade Commission. Since we all know that buying products which support fair pay, good conditions, and potential for growth is high on our social conscious, we want to ensure we don't financially support companies that don't offer these things.

Every country has something in its past which it is proud of and in case of Italy it is the continuing tradition of cultural and culinary heritage, particularly the Italian cheeses, which have been a constant source of pride and worldwide fame. Although Italy is a European country, the Italian cheeses have evolved into global products which have successfully carried the heritage of their parent country to the far and wide corners of the world.

Senseo Coffee machines have a history behind it which involves two innovators. The coffee machine is a brainchild of the joint ventures of Douwe Egberts Corporation and Philips. Douwe Egberts Corporation was known to be a very famous corporation that processed and traded coffee, tea, tobacco and various other groceries. DE approached to Philips and they introduced a coffee brewing system that was unique. The two companies, in 2001, launched the Senseo Coffee machine. The machine brews a single cup of coffee by integrating usage of coffee pads for making perfect cups of coffee.

Coconuts are harvested in the Pacific islands and atolls. The pulp is taken out of the shell and then dried under the sun. Coconuts help lower cholesterol and regulate thyroid function. Coconuts with lighter brown shells generally are not as fully matured; the meat is delicious as a snack in itself, or shredded to make fillings and toppings for snack foods, appetizers and desserts.

It should not be a surprise to anyone to hear that the neighboring countries of the United States and Mexico have different cuisines. Nor is it surprising to hear that Mexican food recipes and recipes for traditional American dishes are quite different. What is surprising is that they are different - quite often, countries which border each other have somewhat similar culinary traditions, such as is the case between the US and Canada. So why is it that our food is so different from Mexican food anyway?
