Talking at the University of Southern California to open the Interactive Media Building there both Steven Spielberg and George Lucas had some very troubling things to say about the future of the film industry, not just about the future but also what is happening now, and when you hear what Spielberg has to say about his latest film it is rather shocking. The Wolf of Wall Street trailer is a reel of madness

You can watch the trailer for The Wolf of Wall Street and see shades of a recent Leonardo DiCaprio film trailer, it's all there, except with this film it seems crazier, and much more confusing, and yet at the same it's all the more appealing. The slew of shots from scenes through the film might not make a lot of narrative sense but they do go to portray a man who seems more money crazed than any other character we've seen. 300: Rise of an Empire trailer actually looks good

I had expected that the sequel of the fabulous 300 (Filmstalker review) would end up becoming a poor imitation, throwing out the previous film in favour of something much less. Dropping the director, the stars, and perhaps even the story trying to eke something out of a story that really had it's finale already. Now I've seen the trailer for 300: Rise of an Empire I'm not so sure any more. The Wolverine new trailer has good and bad

I actually wasn't going to write about this new trailer for the new Wolverine film, The Wolverine, after all we've seen most of it already and we've heard most of the story through the different iterations of trailers and teasers, but there is something new to this trailer that concerned me for the quality of the film. Then with all the hype hitting the television teasers telling us to watch the trailer, I felt I'd better warn you. J.D. Salinger documentary trailer

This is a surprisingly powerful and dramatic trailer filled with mystery and plot points that are more suited to a much larger thriller. Full Elysium trailer hits hard

The new trailer for Elysium, the next film from Neill Blomkamp who wrote and directed District 9 (Filmstalker review), is pretty hard hitting and tells us not only the key story behind the film but also delivers some great effects shots. The film retains the feel of District 9 in mixing effects with practical shots and making them look real and gritty, and coupled with a story and a strong baddie in the form of the fantastic Jodie Foster, this could be a really good film....Visit Filmstalker for the full story. Redmayne playing Stephen Hawking

There are a couple of Stephen Hawking films out this year, one of which is the documentary Hawking which he co-wrote about his own life and will be screening at the Edinburgh International Film Festival this year, something I hope to see myself. Man of Steel sequel already confirmed?

There has already been talk of a Man of Steel sequel, and we should know by now that there's always more than talk as contracts often tie the key people involved in such big films into sequels if the original does well, but this is more than just talk now, it seems to be happening. If reports are to be believed then the sequel will have Zack Snyder directing once again with David S. Goyer returning to write the script. Filth trailer shows a little extra

A new trailer for Filth has arrived, the adaptation of the Irvine Welsh novel by Jon S. Baird and starring James McAvoy, Jamie Bell, Jim Broadbent, Imogen Poots, Eddie Marsan, Kate Dickie, David Soul, Martin Compston, Shirley Henderson, Shauna Macdonald, John Sessions and more. This trailer provides pretty much more of the same however it does have a short section in the middle that suggests some more story to the filth of the title.
