The great state of Rhode Island has released "Dream On" scratcher lottery tickets, branded after the classic song by Aerosmith. I guess it was only a matter of time before state lottery commissions started brand scratcher lottery tickets in the same way that slot machines are branded in traditional casinos.

Here's a tv commercial touting the Dream On scratchers:

The company which supplies the "technology" to the states, GTECH, has also made games for the World Series of Poker and...

We've got a great guest post today from reader Shadeymonk, who headed up to Black Rock the other day to see how the new rule changes have shaken things up there. Great stuff here for the CO contingent... Take it away Shadey!

Let me start off by saying that Black Hawk didn't even feel like it used to, and that is definitely a good thing. In order to really get how much things have improved, I feel I...

Bellagio II? Nope... that's Wynn Monaco.

Apparently, Wynn Resorts has been designing and planning a resort in Monaco. That's news to me and I'm a reasonably close follower of the Wynn rumor mill. Wynn fanatics who can flesh this out a little more, please share your thoughts in the comments below.
Check out the Wynn Crest atop porte cochere entrance.

Book your flights, book your hotel rooms, book your tickets... all signs are pointing to Phish playing a three night Halloween weekend throwdown in the heart of California casino country on October 30, 31 and November 1st.

Five or so years ago, Miss Monkay and I headed out to Indio, California (near Palm Springs) to go see Radiohead, Kraftwerk, Stereolab and a slew of other freaks playing out there. After scorching in the 115 degree desert heat for two...

Live in PA? Hate slots? Hate driving to Atlantic City? Do something about it... contact your local state representative and tell them that you want table games in Pennsylvania casinos.

Why? Governor Ed Rendell said he'd consider the idea should the state legislature sent him a bill authorizing it, stepping away from his long professed opposition to table games.

Seriously though... slots, blackjack, roulette, video poker, essentially it's all the same, so why not just do it?

Having tried almost all the major southern California casinos, I found myself coming back again and again to Agua Caliente Casino Resort and Spa in Rancho Mirage about 20 minutes east of Palm Springs.

There are several reasons why I like Agua Caliente over other properties despite it being further from me than most local casinos: the drive is easy and scenic, the service is good, the casino rocks, and the hotel itself can rival most of the better options in...

A few months before the grand opening of Sands Bethlehem, FJ reader extraordinaire Tom M climbed over hill, dale, bridge and construction fence to get the most comprehensive photos of the entire Sands Bethworks development ever assembled.

After seeing the photos, the biggest question on most of our minds was 'how the hell are they gonna get this done in time?' Get it done, they did and opened to rousing business over its first week of operation.

In addition to the...

Some thoughts on Sands Bethlehem... I didn't want to get up early and go stand in line. This isn't Vegas and lets face it, its a soft opening so there wasn't going to be alot of hoopla anyway since the official opening is on June 9th.
More Sands Bethlehem photos... this time covering dining and bars that surround the casino - Molten Lounge, Cobalt Cafe, The Market and St. James Gate.

Tom had this to say about the restaurants and his dining experience at St. James Gate:

All the open restaurants were busy, I ate at the Irish Pub. Bangers and Mash and a Guinness were pretty good but not exceptional. Service was slow but that is to be expected on the first day.
