Mertz | Huge iceberg drift!

Came off in these days a huge iceberg the size of the Antarctic ice cap. According to experts, the incident would not be attributed to the much-feared global warming than in any film dealing with the subject ends up destroying the entire planet, but rather the detachment is due to clash with another big iceberg called B-9B to come off turn in 1987.

This new iceberg has an area of 2500 km ², an iceberg the size of Luxembourg. A nice chunks of ice! The problem that worries Rob Masson, dell'Antartic Research Center, is the fact that so imposing a mass of ice could affect ocean currents and thus the climate of the region, endangering wildlife of the area.

It is not the largest iceberg ever, in fact in 2007 it was detached from the western region of the south pole an iceberg the size of Singapore, but it sure is to watch to avoid serious problems with the nature of the place several times making test.
