JOSÉ BENTO de Almeida e Silva nasceu no concelho de Estarreja (distrito de Aveiro) a 17 de Novembro de 1932. É formado em Contabilidade pelo Instituto Comercial de Lisboa e estreou-se como poeta na revista literária «Árvore», em 1953, mas só em 1992 reuniu quase toda a sua obra poética no volume «Silabário». Atingiu notável prestígio como tradutor de poesia castelhana, actividade em que cumpre destacar a publicação de três colectâneas monumentais: «Antologia da Poesia Espanhola do Siglo de Oro» (2 vols), «Antologia da Poesia Espanhola das Origens ao Séc. XIX» (2001) e «Antologia da Poesia Espanhola Contemporânea» (1985), tendo sido premiado e condecorado tanto em Portugal como em Espanha.

O Estádio do Dragão, palco caseiro do FC do Porto, na cidade invicta, comemora hoje o seu 6º. aniversário. Foi inaugurado em 16 de Novembro de 2003 com um jogo entre o F.C. Porto e o Barcelona, vitória de 2-0 dos locais com uma arbitragem daquelas que conhecemos de Martins dos Santos (bem, em dia de festa não vale a pena falar disso!).

Parabéns, porque na realidade é um Estádio muito bonito!

Neste momento sentimos uma sensação estranha depois deste jogo e do respectivo resultado. Ganhámos, mas estamos longe da tranquilidade que se desejava. Fica-se com a ideia de que não esgotámos todas as possibilidades para aumentar a vantagem; simultaneamente temos de convir que até tivemos sorte: a selecção da Bósnia que até teve maioritariamente uma postura defensiva, encostou-nos à baliza no último quarto de hora da primeira parte e mandou uma bola à barra e quase no fim do jogo tivemos mais um milagre - bola na barra e recarga ao poste da baliza de Eduardo -.

O jogo sob um ambiente de grande entusiasmo do público iniciou-se com a equipa da Bósnia numa postura defensiva; algumas jogadas pelo lado direito de Nani iam criando desiquilíbrios no adversário. Portugal chegou à vantagem após uma segunda bola ganha pelo lado direito, Nani cruzou para Bruno Alves ao segundo poste enfiar a bola com um remate de cabeça na baliza. Portugal ganhava vantagem à saída da meia-hora de jogo...

A verdade é que este golo provocou alterações no modo de estar das equipas nos minutos seguintes até ao final da primeira parte. Portugal achou que já estava a ganhar e que podia jogar em termos mais tranquilos, os bósnios acharam que estando a perder não deviam continuar a defender (onde dizem que são fracos) e prescindir de atacar (onde dizem que são fortes). Portugal passou por aflições. Um livre directo (mal finalizado), um remate cruzado de Salihovic, deixado à vontade, para uma excelente defesa de Eduardo e uma bola na barra num cabeceamento de Ibricic a partir de um canto, ameaçaram a vantagem portuguesa.

Na segunda parte após uns minutos pouco esclarecidos Portugal conseguiu através de uma sequência de transições rápidas dar a sensação de que podia chegar ao segundo golo. Liedson teve até uma grande oportunidade quando após trabalho individual passou a bola por cima do defesa adversário e com o guarda-redes a cair concluiu de pé esquerdo sem preparação mas por cima da barra. A equipa visitante dava a sensação de satisfeita com o resultado, mas com as substituições em ambas as equipas, ficou a ganhar. Perto do final a ameaça do empate ganhou contornos de facto consumado, mas aí Carlos Queiroz viu um milagre: na cara de Eduardo, Dzeko cabeceia à barra e na recarga Muslimovic atirou ao poste...

O jogo termina sem a sensação de derrotados em ninguém: os bósnios sairam sorridentes do Estádio da Luz, confiantes de que em casa marcam vários golos, os portugueses porque, afinal, ganharam, só por um é certo, e não sofreram golos.

Fica ainda uma nota de que três dos quatro jogadores da Bósnia que viram o cartão amarelo não poderão jogar o jogo da segunda mão por castigo disciplinar, o que não deixará de constituir uma limitação. Na próxima quarta-feira em Zénica tudo se vai decidir e adivinha-se um jogo terrível...

O árbitro inglês não teve muitas dificuldades em termos técnicos mas em termos disciplinares não foi totalmente coerente. Houve mais um ou dois cartões que ficaram por mostrar (e um deles seria o segundo ao mesmo jogador).
