Visit to BreakThru Missions (08/09/2010)

noreply@blogger.com (Wei-Xiang) — Tue, 10 Aug 2010 04:28:00 +0000

On NDP, we headed to BreakThru Mission; a trip organized by SengKang Methodist Church.

A secluded place for Drug addicts/ ex-convicts/ 黑帮老大 to repent under the name of Jesus.

It's a miracle for someone in secret society to change entirely... No more vulgarities, fights, drugs, etc. Only to see them working (decent job) in peace, & to offer prayers to Jesus.

Dad bought these 3 pots of orchids
They provide quite a variety of services; gardening, bronze sculpture, handicrafts, furnitures, house moving, oil paintings, framing, foot massage & even dim-sum!There's even a snooker table & table soccer for their leisure... Much more relax than in prison :)
Mum & dad with Mr. Foot reflexologist
Prayers before lunch
Mum, Granny & Dad enjoying lunch

Big salute to those whom had changed for the better... The rest depends on society, how they view/ accept them.

Farewell for Soon-Hwa at Tampines One; Japanese restaurantCan't believe I actually finished this entire plate of veggies! Of course with the cheese, mayo & some Jap sauce, it covers the smell of greens which in fact makes it quite delicious.

Got this from Tebrau Jusco for RM$9.50; Berry flavor. Suppose to be healthier as compared to cigarettes as it's pure tobacco; not as much chemicals... Nevertheless, it's still best not to smoke ^^

Temporary stall near Joanne's sister place... Abandoned I guess.

Dinner at Shabu-Shi (Japanese buffet restaurant; Hougang Mall). Relatively cheap dinning place, $18.90+++ per head during weekdays. Sum up to ~$22 per pax with the service charge & GST.

It was kind of late after the dinner and cake shop were all closed. Managed to locate one but... The bloody PRC shopkeeper charged me $0.50 & $0.20 for the knife & candle respectively. Rude attitude & doesn't show respect to her customers. This will be the first & last time I patronise this 黑店 (directly opposite to Hougang Bus Interchange). Her bday presents... Genting Trip (18/10/09- 20/10/09)

noreply@blogger.com (Wei-Xiang) — Tue, 20 Oct 2009 14:13:00 +0000

Since Deepavali falls on 17/10/09 (Saturday), 19/10/09 (Monday) is a replacement holiday and just nice that my company is having office-shutdown on 20/10/09 (Tuesday), we planned for a short trip to Genting.

My colleague (Cheong) was there with his girlfriend and family.

This section is under 'Ripley's Believe It or Not'. You can purchase tickets for both Ripley's and Haunted adventure at $30RM per pax.

World tallest man chair!

Torture chair.Dentist chair.

A shot with one of the guy who is responsible of scaring us during the Haunted adventure. Nothing much really, just that they get you to put on the 3D-glasses which blurs your vision. Lots of visual and sound effects plus human in disguise of ghost coming out from nowhere to scare us.Also catched the flim Surrogates. No more Osim seats for cinemas in Genting, they had it all removed. Damn! All my 3 trips there, none of it did I get to try the Osim seats.

Nevertheless, we settled for the Premium seats, slightly wider space & comes with drink, pop corn and tibits; still cheaper as compared to Sg.

Tired Joanne after keeping me company at casino for hours. No luck this trip, lost all in all $700RM. Well, let's just take it as 到邻国做捐款，出境新马两国的外交关系。哈哈！Coming back to Sg.

TaiPing station.
