I pulled out my VPL patella leggings because I missed them.  I’m not ashamed to admit that I love them in part because of their name.  These are particularly special because they’re the leggings that turned me.  I was always skeptical about the bike short trend, but here I am.   I’m not only more than happy to sport them, but taking very public photos in them.  Sneaky V. Bartlett!

Moustache Man and I found this gem of a photo spot on a stroll through the neighborhood.  Even though I get embarrassed taking photos in public, it’s actually been fun looking for cool settings.  MM has been trying to push for the indoor shots again, but I put my foot down.  No more boring photos, I said!

Are we all looking forward to Fashion Week?  I know I am.  Yeah, yeah, yeah!  Or as C would say, “Sparkle fuck!”

This is one of my favorite editorials.  If I had a Miss Havisham fate, this would be my wedding dress.  Oh, what have I done!

I knew of Corinne Day, but it wasn’t until her recent death that I actually looked at her full body of work.  The substance of her photos really appeals to me.  She creates a mood with the subject instead of relying on special effects and extravagant backgrounds.  A woman sitting in a chair or a woman against a textured wall is simple, but very beautiful.

This self-portrait characterizes Falstaff, a Shakespearean michief maker.  Usdin’s photos often represent her dreams and nightmares.  It’s an eerie but very cool inspiration and makes me curious to see more.

I have a feeling I’m being watched . . .

I coaxed Moustache Man to take more outdoor photos with promises of green tea chai.  It displeased him when he realized it was a hoax.

Per chance I was in Helmut Lang today and I fell head first for this drapey dress in a rusty gold.  I’ve been craving something yellow in my wardrobe since the beginning of spring.  I’ve also been craving olive, white and sequins, which isn’t even a color.  I believe all this can be remedied with some shopping.  What a brilliant diagnosis.
