<itunes:summary>Explore the Call podcasts help individuals learn about the Call of God or the call to ministry, but overall they are intended to help one follow God. They are geared toward young adults interested in learning about vocational ministry with the Assemblies of God and other Pentecostal, Spirit-filled denominations. Designed to help students identify, explore and nurture the call of God on their life, they are beneficial to those looking at a Bible College education or simply wanting to understand more about the leading of God in their lives. </itunes:summary>

Like Isaiah, it all begins by saying yes to God (Isaiah 6:8). Remember, your “yes” is not a momentary response, but a commitment to a lifetime of service.<div class="feedflare">

It has its own set of challenges. Ministry may be one of the most difficult vocations there is today. The key is to remember that ministry is more fulfilling than it is easy and more rewarding than it is hard. You will have peace and joy as a result of fulfilling God’s will for your life.<div class="feedflare">

<itunes:summary>In today’s podcast, we will discuss the most common hurdles in ministry and how you can start overcoming them.

You must be prepared for six hurdles:

	The hurdle of leading.
The hurdle of unhappiness in people.
	The hurdle of spiritual consumerism.
	The hurdle of being lazy.
The hurdle of compromising your character.
The hurdle of spiritual battles in your life.

There are three ways you can overcome these hurdles:

Begin to develop a daily prayer time.
	Begin reading the Bible daily.
Begin to slow down so that you may hear the prompting of the Holy Spirit.

Do not stop running because your race involves inevitable hurtles. Run with a determination to face and overcome them. In our next podcast, we will talk about the topic of dating and how it relates to your specific calling.</itunes:summary>

Knowing God’s plan can be difficult. A person needs discernment when sorting through the possibilities of God’s call. One difficultly we face when exploring the call of God is understanding the terms involved. We often confuse our spiritual gifts, burdens, and being led by God with His call.

In this podcast, we are going to talk about three common misunderstandings that are often confused with the call of God. If we are not careful, this confusion could cause us to miss what God has for us.<div class="feedflare">

In our last two podcasts, we discussed the importance of seeking formal training as well as the advantages of going to a Bible college. Today, we want to give you ten helpful tools in choosing a Bible college that is right for you. When it comes to choosing a Bible college, there are many variables to consider; it’s up to you to prioritize them. It is never too early to seek God’s guidance in selecting a Bible college that is right for you. Remember to stay open, pray, and most importantly, keep Exploring the Call.<div class="feedflare">

The call of God is a call to preparation. Many young people do not understand the need for formal training. Some of you may be wondering, “Why is the call of God not enough to qualify me?” You may also be wondering, “Why should I waste time getting an education when people are dying and going to hell?”<div class="feedflare">

The Ministry is a "being" profession. In other words, who you are is more important than what you do. The Bible makes it clear that a minister’s moral and spiritual qualities qualify him more than his gifts or natural abilities. After examining 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1, we can identify twenty qualities that define a minister's character. Learning to implement these qualities will help you respond more quickly to the Spirit's conviction in order to initiate change in your life. Remember to keep the faith and continue to Explore the Call.<div class="feedflare">

Those called to full-time ministry accept the responsibility of recruiting, training, equipping, and releasing God’s people in ministry. Being called to the full-time equipping ministry does not make you better than other Christians. As a matter of fact, it makes you obligated to God to serve and lead them.<div class="feedflare">

One of the most important questions every high school student asks is, "What will I do with my life?" That question is appropriate for any young person getting ready to face the future and imagining themselves in a career. But for a Christian, discovering what God wants them to do with their life is much deeper because it is a spiritual matter.

No time, resources, or effort that are spent exploring the possibilities of God’s will are ever wasted. Serving in ministry is one of the greatest things you can do with your life.

Ministry is a high calling. Why? Here are four reasons.<div class="feedflare">

Does ministry have to change who you are? Yes! No! Sounds a bit schizophrenic doesn’t it? But hang with me for a minute. When you talk about “who you are,” what you’re really discussing is your personality. I laughed when I surfed Wikipedia. Turns out the only section that discusses “personality alteration” or “change” is when it relates to a cult. Scary...<div class="feedflare">

Explore the Call is the result of a collaborative effort between Pastor Gene Roncone and Zion Bible College. Pastor Roncone has spent years studying the call of God and meeting with high school students exploring the call in weekly small group settings.<div class="feedflare">
