I highly suggest saving in front of Giratina (even though if you kill him you can meet his Altered Form in Sendoff Spring) before challenging him if you also would rather save that Master Ball for Dialga or one of the Pokemon that run around Sinnoh. Talk to Giratina after that and the battle begins, try your best to out speed him and be sure to have plenty of Revive and Hyper/Max Potion, if not you’re going to have a very rough time surviving long enough to catch him.

This is what I did: I had in the 50s or 60s of Revive, very few (I can’t remember how many) Hyper/Max Potion, in the 100s of Net Ball, One Ultra Ball, One Perimeter Ball, and two Great Ball. Every time he used Shadow Force and disappeared, I used a Revive or Potion on a weakened or fainted Pokemon (so I didn’t run out of usable Pokemon). Unfortunately, he often ended up leaving me with two Pokemon, he’d kill one and then I’d use the other to heal and he’d kill that one, etc. That was after weakening him into the red area of heath, making it more likely I’d catch him. If you have a Pokemon with Hypnosis, use it, it’ll make things much, much easier. After several times of him wiping out my Pokemon or him dying from using Struggle, I got lucky and he was caught by my only Ultra Ball.

Here’s one last thing to note, if one battle, say, your Houndoom is faster then Giratina, and then next he’s slower, don’t think something’s glitchy. Giratina’s Nature changes with each battle, making him have more or less Defense, Attack, Speed, etc (I ended up with a Naughty, Mischievous, which fit his info very well). With that, I wish you good luck with the Reverse World Ruler.

Pokemon Set of 3 Platinum 2009
Spring Collector Tins [Shaymin, Dialga & Giratina]

That question has been around ever since the two showed up. Palkia has only one weakness so he must be stronger, right? Wrong. Dialga has Roar of Time and could demolish Palkia in one blow. That makes Dialga stronger, right? Wrong again. Dialga is weak against Ground, Fighting, Dragon type moves; Palkia can learn all of those types. So which is stronger? It all depends on moves, the enemy, the item they hold, and their Natures.

First of all, let’s compare the two. Dialga is a Dragon/Steel type meaning when he has a Steel type move or Dragon type move it is powered up <img src='http://tahtimbo.googlepages.com/pokedex.jpg' align=right vspace=4 hspace=4 alt="image of poke dex" width:126px;height:160px; />
a little when he uses it. Palkia is Dragon/Water type, and as with Dialga, when he uses a Water or Dragon type move it is slightly powered up. Both have the ability Pressure which makes the enemy use one more Power Point (PP) when attacking. When learning moves, they are surprisingly in sync with each other as all but 3 moves are the same from level to level. At Base level they both learn DragonBreath and Scary Face, at level 20 Ancient Power, level 30 Dragon Claw, level 50 Heal Block, level 60 Earth Power, level 70 Slash, and level 80 Aura Sphere.

However, they also have their differences. Palkia has more Speed then Dialga (due to his Steel or Palkia’s Water type I’m sure), but Dialga’s Roar of Time has more power then Palkia’s Spacial Rend. When it comes to learning moves they have Metal Claw and Water Pulse at level 10, Roar of Time and Spacial Rend at level 40, and Flash Cannon and Aqua Tail at level 80. Weakness is little when it comes to Palkia as his only weakness is Dragon while Dialga is weak against Ground, Fighting, and Dragon types. When it comes to resistance Dialga is uneffected by Poison while Grass, Normal, Water, and Electric deal half their damage. Palkia has no immunity to any type but Fire, Water, and Steel type moves deal half their damage.

There are many items they could hold in order to power up or weaken a Super Effective move. Berries, Bands, and their orbs all could boost attack, defense, etc. Or just Dragon, Water, Steel, etc. There are way too many to name, but I would suggest having Palkia or Dialga hold their orb which boosts the power of their Dragon and Steel/Water moves.

Natures and Personalities of Pokémon affect what grows most and by how much. Hardy doesn’t affect any stat while Lonely raises attack most when leveling/when its favorite Poffin is given to it and slowly raises defense when leveling/Foul Poffin is given to that Pokémon. Personalities are kinda the same. Loves to Eat raises Heath Points (HP) while Highly Curious will raise its Special Attack. As there are 25 different Natures and 30 different Personalities, I won’t name all of the combos.

So which is stronger? The movie Rise of Darkrai showed Dialga badly injuring Palkia before Palkia fled. Maybe Dialga is stronger, but it’s all up to personalities, items, moves, and what type of opponent they face. If Palkia were to face a Fire type Pokémon he would probably win, but against a Dragon type he might not. So there is no set answer on which is stronger due to all the possibilities; it all depends on what you need in that Pokémon.

Like every Legendary Pokémon, Palkia and Dialga have a very low catch-rate. Sadly, the low catch-rate makes them harder to catch then it already is. With their attacks being Earth Power, Slash, Heal Block, and Roar of Time/Spatial Rend and them being level 70; Palkia and Dialga make it difficult just to stay alive long enough to catch them. Luckily, by this time your Pokémon should be rather strong so you shouldn’t have too much trouble depending on what moves and Pokémon you use.

First, you need to prepare for two very long battles. I’d suggest bringing Max/Hyper Potion (maybe 25+), Max Revive (maybe 20+), and a lot of Ultra Ball (99+). You will also need (a) Pokémon with Surf and (or) Rock Climb. After that, enter the mountain at the entrance above Orburg and start climbing. Just be sure to have good Pokémon with you.

The Pokémon I used were Torterra, Machoke, Giratina, Rayquaza, and Garchomp. Rayquaza (non-hack) being level 100 was very useful when they are weakened and you are trying to catch them. I would suggest using Fighting type moves against Dialga until he is weakened enough to catch. Once he’s weakened enough, bring out your strongest Pokémon and start throwing whatever type of ball you have at him. When you finally catch Dialga, Palkia’s rift will appear.

Walk over to it, save, and then talk to it to begin the battle. Palkia is a lot like Dialga except for his weakness is only Dragon type moves. His it with those type of moves and then maybe put it to sleep or paralyze it for easier catching. As with Dialga, once he is weakened you have to catch him before he runs out of moves and uses Struggle. Depending on how weak he is at this time; he will faint if he uses the move. It took me several hours to catch them both but when you do it’s well worth the trouble.

Now you have Palkia and Dialga, but which should you use against which type of Pokémon? You guessed it, a Compare and Contrast post about the two is next up.

Pokemon Character
DS Touch Pen - Dialga

Well, first you need to beat the Pokemon league. Once you’ve beaten that, you go to Celestic Town and talk to Cynthia’s grandmother. She will tell you about Palkia and Dialga. After you’ve listened to her story (Strangely, if you don’t you can’t challenge Palkia or Dialga), enter Mt. Coronet, the entrance above Oreburgh City is the fastest. The Adamant Orb and Lustrous Orb will be on floor 4f1, be sure to pick them up. If you don’t have the Orbs, you can’t challenge them. When you get to the Spear Pillar, you will only see Dialga’s rift. Don’t panic, you’ve done nothing wrong! You must challenge Dialga to have Palkia show up. Be sure to save in front of them and good luck. I’ll explain catching them next post.

Pokemon Set of 3 Platinum 2009
Spring Collector Tins [Shaymin, Dialga & Giratina]

Or did it really ever go away? Designware has finally released its new Pokemon party supplies line and with that we need an amazing party plan! So here goes. Decorations: Make a Pokemon Character Wall. This will be a wonderful conversation piece for the guests and will also look great as decoration. Choose at least 10 pokemon and download their enlarged images right from pokemon.com - the official Pokemon website. Print out as large as possible using coloured ink.

Using details found online or right on their card, write out each pokemon's biography. Their health, powers, their weaknesses etc. on a separate sheet of paper in a large print. What you should end up with is 10 large coloured photos and 10 corresponding bios. Display all pictures with bios beside or underneath on one central wall. Use licensed Pokemon party decorations or coordinating coloured balloons and streamers to accent the Character wall and make it the focal point of the party room. Games: Pokemon Toss - This is a fun challenge, and a challenging it is! Turn an average pack of ping pong balls into Pokeballs with a red and a black sharpie marker. Sharpie's are the best because they do not rub off. Colour half the ping pong red with a thin black band through the middle. Voila! A Pokeball.

Set up a series of 6 pails or boxes of some sort. It is your choice whether to have them horizontally, diagonally, in 2 rows of 3 or clustered together. Whichever you choose, just make sure the pails are close together, about 2-3 centimetres apart. Purchase some Pokemon trading cards, enough for each guest to win 5 or 6 each. Mark a line about 5 or 6 feet back. Line the bottom of each pail with 1 trading card-make sure they are face down so the players cannot see them. With the birthday child going first, give him 6 balls and challenge him to toss them one by one into the pails.

The more balls he lands into different buckets, the more cards he wins. When all 6 balls are thrown, the player may then collect his winning cards. Finding out which cards they won will be very exciting! Replace the cards, gather the balls and have the next child in line have a go! Keep playing until the cards run out or everyone has their equal share. Its not as easy as you might think! This may take 3 or 4 rounds - those Pokeballs are hard to tame! Pokemon Pinata: Since they have not come out with any Pokemon themed Pinata lets make our own. A really simple way is to purchase a round beach ball pinata or even a round but flat drum Pinata and paint it half red and half white with a black band through the middle. Pokeballs are traditionally red, but in this new series they also come in blue and white. Another option is to paper mache a beach ball. Make sure to cover the beach ball with a thin coat of Vaseline so it is easy to separate and remove. Another option is to use a punch balloon.

That way, you have a built in hanger with the elastic handle - just make sure to blow the punch ball up until its completely round. The key is to use several layers of newspaper and glue to make the pinata very sturdy and give yourself several days of drying time. A good glue ratio is 1 part water to 3 parts white glue. The newspaper strips should be about 2 inches wide and about 9 inches long. When the ball is absolutely dry, use an exacto knife and cut a flap about 4 inches x 4 inches. Just enough room to pull out the beach ball or pop the balloon. Paint and decorate your Pinata , fill with candy and treats and reseal. Activities: "Are You Smarter then a Pokemon Trainer?" Play a Pokemon Trivia game based on the Pokedex also found at Pokemon.com. Prepare 5 questions ranking from easiest to hardest for each quiz player. Write the set of 5 questions on individual index cards and have the players choose their own set of questions out of a hat. Each question should get progressively a little harder so inform the players that they can stop at any time. Questions like "Who is Green?", "Who has Wings?" and "Who can Shed their Skin?". Everyone gets a prize for playing of course, but the prizes you can win with each question gets progressively a little better too!

If you get an answer correct you advance, if you get it wrong you loose it all! Well, maybe not all, have a basic prize that everyone wins with question 1. Make sure to offer 3 possible answers to help the kids and gear the difficulty of the questions to the age group attending. Extra Activity: I found this adorable website where you put in your full name and favourite colour and it gives you your official Pokemon name and your pretend stats. Its more for fun - mine says that I live in Antarctica and eat Meatballs. The site is pizza.sandwich.net/poke/pokemon.html - Perhaps you can make one for each child that's coming to the party as a name tag, placemat, loot bag item or seating card. They are really short and really quite funny! Menu: So much work is involved with the setup of this party, go for the favourite food of Pokemon Trainers - Pizza of course! Its simple and easy - especially if you order out.

A really neat drink idea is to make a Pokemon Power Punch. All you need is a punch bowl filled with Mountain Dew and some Strawberry or Raspberry Sorbet. Just before you are about to serve, add the sorbet and the kids can watch it fizz and froth. It tastes amazing too! For dessert you can make Pokeball cupcakes with red, white and black icing and a white gumball for the center. If you prefer a cake, use some Pokemon figurines to create a scene just like those expensive decopac sets sold in specialty stores. The most important thing is that you select the right Pokemon and it helps if everything matches. You don't want a good Pokemon mixing with a bad Pokemon at the party.

There are to many kinds of Pokemon's to even count, what you can choose from are their "type" starting with red or blue followed by; water, fire, grass, normal, physic, dragon, ghost, ice, fighting, bug and flying. There are several more but I think you get the idea.

Most of the sets of Pokemon party supplies come in sets of 8. You get dinner plates, cups, cake plates, goody bags or boxes, hats and napkins. You will have to choose either blue or red or use both (there both "good guys") for your streamers, balloons, plastic wear and table clothes.

The assortment to choose from is enormous we have the combination Pokemon party supplies which features the cute little water blue guy, the yellow electric Pokemon and the blue dragon.

Another selection is the single section with just the traditional red or blue Pokemons on the supplies. Then the green turtle, and the yellow dragon, the red fiery Pokemon all have their own design as well.

Of course, the Pokemon party supplies come in two different apparent age groups and species. The younger child will most likely want the animal Pokemon while an older child may like the Pokemons that look like real kids.

When selecting supplies for your child's Pokemon party you should know which Pokemon is his/her favorite and if your lucky enough to get a combination of their favorites (because no child has just one favorite Pokemon) that is your best bet! Don't forget the piñata!

Make sure when your picking up your Pokemon party supplies that your party favors match the decorations as well. The favors are as numerous as the supplies you can choose from key chains, party masks, sweatbands, stickers, watches, Pokemon figurines, pencils, pencil cases and even learn how to draw Pokemon!

The list of Pokemon party supplies is unbelievable; the best thing you can do as I said earlier is make sure you know which Pokemon (s) your child likes before you go shopping!

© Copyright Coolest-Party-Ideas.com All Rights Reserved. In Sapphire it will say "that a red Pokemon has been sighted", in Ruby it will say "that a blue Pokemon has been sighted" or in Emerald it will say "that a Pokemon of a BZZZT color has been sighted" then your mother will ask what color it was, meaning you get to choose whether it's blue or red (Latios or Latias). Once you've done that you have to track Latios/Latias down, just like with Raikou, Suicune, and Entei. The most appealing factor is that the game is played very similarly to the way it is played in the animation series which captured the attention of young people. Its complexity is similar to games such as chess due to the fact that each player needs to know exactly what each card does, how it can be used in addition to the many others available and how to anticipate attacks.

Each Pokemon card have marked on them their attack abilities, powers, weaknesses and hit points. The card games has only 9 types of Pokemon cards instead of the 17 which were originally displayed. The card color varies according to the Pokemon type, for instance:

* A blue card describes a Pokemon which resides in the water and has water abilities.
* An orange or brown trading cards describes Pokemon with earth, rock and fighting abilities.
* Purple trading cards represent psychic, ghost or poison type.
* Red as you may think represents a fire type
* Yellow cards are used for the electric type.
* Silver or gray cards are used to represent metal, or steel abilities.
* As assumed, green cards represent the grass type of Pokemon or the ones related to nature, bugs and poison.
* Navy blue or obscure colored cards depict dark type.
* And white cards represent flying and normal types.

Another basic card classification shows that every player's deck has more than just Pokemon cards, they also have stadium, supporter, trainer, and energy cards which affect other players cards according to its abilities. For instance:

* Stadium cards can block special abilities of certain Pokemon which will give an edge to some players over the rest of them.
* Supporter cards are used just like stadium cards but only one can be played each turn.
* Trainer cards allow players to bring back cards which have been discarded, remove energy from adversaries and heal damage caused by attacks.
* Energy cards are mostly used to enable attacks.

Each attack requires a certain amount of energy which depends on the Pokemon card. Some cards have no color specified so any type of energy card can be used to enable the attack, while others have a color requirement in order to work.

As you can see there are many factors which influence how a certain card will perform in battle, the best way to rapidly become familiar with them is by thinking about the classifications described above and relating them to a specific Pokemon card in the deck which will enhance its attack abilities and give you an advantage over your adversaries.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/art-and-entertainment-articles/pokemon-cards-all-you-need-to-know-188668.html

About the Author:
PokemonCard.info offers more details about the exciting Pokemon game . A Guide to Completing Your Pokemon Trading Card Game Deck Online
By Richie Truxillo

Pokemon, the video game, originated from a game boy game where a boy was tasked with capturing and taming all 150 different Pokemon. The game revolves around raising and collecting creatures and battling them against rival Pokemon collectors. Pokemon, the card game, is a spin off from the hit video games on the Game Boy Advance and Nintendo DS.

What is the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG)?

The Pokemon Trading Card Game is an Role Playing Game, similar to the popular card game "Magic the Gathering." The object of the game is to use your cards (each card is a special Pokemon creature) to defeat the rival Pokemon trainer (read: player). Certain cards have become very valuable due to their effectiveness in the game and their rarity.

What is the difference between a "Starter Deck", "Theme Deck" and a "Booster Pack?"

The Starter Deck provides an introduction to the card game and provides enough cards for two players. The Theme Deck is a single player deck that has more powerful cards (aka Pokemon) and provides more strategic moves for the player's deck. A Booster pack is a collection of 11 cards that provides a chance to get rare cards to make one's deck more powerful.

Each Starter deck is identical where the Theme Decks have some variety and the Booster packs provide for powerful collectible cards. Some players will buy multiple Booster decks to find a special rare Pokemon card for their own deck. Each Booster pack has 11 cards which consist of one "rare" card or "holofoil" card, 3 "uncommon cards," and 7 "common cards."

If you are new to the game, first buy a Starter Deck and then one Theme Deck of your liking. Each contains a rulebook to follow to get the hang of the game. Once you have mastered the basics, start purchasing booster packs or find your desired Pokemon card on online auction websites such as Ebay.

Is there a "Pokemon Card Pricing Guide?"

A company called Pojo has a nice pricing guide for Pokemon cards. Here is a website where you can view static prices of Pokemon Cards. In general, Pokemon cards do not fluctuate too much in price.

http://www.pojo.com/priceguide/usbasic.html

Striking Gold

To find the rarer cards online, search "Holo" cards or Pokemon cards that are encased in a holographic foil. You can also complete your theme deck by looking for your deck's name in auction searches. Finally, you can use websites like mine to find the exact card you are missing to complete your deck. Be sure to balance out your deck as much as possible to allow yourself to be versatile in playing your opponents.
Pokemon hit the television airwaves in the 90s and with the interesting characters that were developed, many people began to want to learn how to draw Pokemon.

Keep it Simple for Poliwag!

Poliwag is one of the simplest Pokemon characters to draw. Begin with a large, egg-like shape that will be the basis of his body. You want this circle to be large enough that will allow you to add in all of the detail without a problem.

Draw another circle slightly to the bottom of the circle. This will allow you enough space to draw the face. These two circles should be similar to an egg with a yolk in the middle. Now you will want to add eyes and nose at the top of the second circle. The eyes should be half ovals that drop down for the top of the large circle. Now you can simply add a tail, feet and the spiral on the body. Add lips to the little nose circle and you have a Poliwag to color how you wish.

Popular Pikachu!

Pikachu is one of the most popular Pokemon characters and to learn how to draw Pokemon Pikachu is very simple. It takes less than ten steps to draw this character. Begin by drawing a basic outline for the head. Make one arched line for the top of the head and then two disjointed lines for the side of the head. The ears will be drawn where you have left spaces. Next, draw two long lines down from the two side headlines. Arch these lines out slightly to form the body.

Give Pikachu Feet!

Add the feet to Pikachu by making simple jagged toes and then connect the feet with a curved line that arches upwards slightly. Next, draw two long and pointed ears with a small line near the points of the ears. Draw two simple cartoon eyes with pupils, a small upside down triangle nose and a mouth. Add two arms to the front of the body with several pointed fingers. Finally draw a zig-zagged tail with a small zig-zag near the base of the tail, and add in the two semi-circles on his cheeks.

As you can see, learning how to draw Pokemon is very simple and the characters are very basic.

Karen MacLean is a consultant and writer for online and offline businesses. I have found a few of their most common places to hide and some of the easiest ways to catch them.
Here's what you'll need:

Masterball x4 (one left over to clone more), to catch them easily and without fail.

Cloning cheat, to get more master ball.

a lot of Super or Max Repel, to keep away Pokemon that will interfere, if you find a Pokemon before them they might run away and you will have to track them down again.

WARNING: You must have room in your box to store them!

Now that you have that stuff we can try and track them down. I got lucky and found Entei by accident while coming down the path below Black Thorn City. After I found Entei and got him to a place I could get him, I found Suicune instead, I caught him but my box got full afterwards and I had to abandon my search for Entei. Always have room when hunting them.

The most common place I've seen them is the route before the Lake of Rage, Suicune especially. Entei and Raikou and pretty commonly seen right before the house leading to and in route 29 (The route near your house where you can find Lv 2 stuff), where you can also find Jigglypuff. I've never actually caught Raikou because this masterball plan is so new and I haven't tracked him down yet. Raikou is the hardest one I've tried to find and capture, good luck with him.

This plan isn't essential to catching the Legendary Dogs, but it is easier. Also, you should note they will be on Lv 40 when you see them and any damage you do is permanent until captured. There is only one in each game and if you kill them there will be no more. If you plan to weaken them and then catch them you will need a fast Pokemon like Golbat with Mean Look to trap them in battle and weaken them. I suggest saving before the hunt just in case you kill one. I hope this helps.

First you change to an empty box then you deposit your Pokemon (can be more then one). Then you change to any other box and when it says "Saving don't turn off the power" turn it off. If the cloning was successful one of the Pokemon will be in your party the other will be in the box. Also if the Pokemon was holding an item that might be cloned too. WARNING: Do not try this in Red, Blue, or Yellow it WILL corrupt the file!

He's a mix of Slifer the Sky Dragon (from yugioh) and Rayquaza (from Pokemon) both of my favorites from the shows. He was made the most powerful Pokemon/duel monster ever. Here is my drawing of it: zooming in will definitely help read it here's a different version of his story: "Raykazuka, was said to rule over all pokemon and duel monsters he earned that title by fighting every one of them. Raykazuka was a very good leader and solved feuds between many pokemon including Kyogre and Groudon. Then one day a war broke out between humans and duel monsters. Raykazuka unleashed a devastating attack which opened a portal between worlds. The pokemon were sucked in and Raykazuka was seperated into Rayquaza and Slifer the Sky Dragon. To this day they still wait to be reunited...." next time i'll talk about swarm pokemon. This next one will be done by Kuriboh's Groudon.
