Those who are in the market looking for a solid Android handset, T-Mobile MyTouch Q is a good choice. Owners of aging Blackberry handsets in need of change can take a look at MyTouch Q, which is available for the price of $79.99 and boasts swift 4G data along with sliding QWERTY keyboard. Its feel and look are similar, while practically the same size. It measures 4.7 inches high, 0.5 inch thick and 2.5 inches wide and isn’t trim or small by modern definitions. Unlike other smartphones in the market such as Samsung Galaxy S II, it is portly and plump with softly rounded edges and soft-touch back coating, which repels prints and grease and provides sure grip.

The T-Mobile MyTouch Q comes with 3.5 inch LCD display that boasts 480 x 320 pixel resolutions and renders details in application icons, images and particularly text. Underneath the display, you will find illuminated capacitive buttons for usual Android controls such as Back, Menu and Home. In place of Search key, you will find a Genius button, symbolized by circular G logo. It offers four-row QWERTY keyboard instead of five with backlit keys and plethora of dedicated buttons for common punctuation marks. The power button is located on top of the smartphone, while the volume rocker button on the left. The 3.5mm headphone jack is also on the top along with microUSB port. At the back, there is a 5.0-megapixel camera with large speaker and LED flash. Beneath the battery cover, there is a microSD memory card slot.

Powering the T-Mobile MyTouch Q is an Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread operating system, which doesn’t provide latest version of Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich. You will find plenty of powerful and essential Android applications such as access to more than 500,000 applications, Gmail and Google Maps. It can handle corporate and personal email accounts and typical text messaging tasks. Typically for smartphone camera, it lacks low light performance with plenty of image noise in dark areas. You will find very few camera options such as Continuous Shot, Panorama and manual ISO settings.

Rovio Entertainment Limited, a game manufacturing company unveils that an animated movie and series about the wildly famous game are in the works. Game maker said that this popular game is being turned into an animated series likely to be introduced this fall. Mr. Nick Dorra, Head of Animation at Rovio stated that they will be rolling out a weekly animation series this year of shortform content. He also confirmed that Angry Birds movie is the works, but won’t be revealed for couple of years. Rovio purchased Kombo, an animation studio last year for extending the marque beyond its gaming platform. The overall goal is to transform Rovio from a gaming firm to an entertainment firm. Besides the movie and series, Rovio has also published Angry Birds cookbook.

Rovio or Rovio Entertainment Limited is basically a Finnish entertainment company and video game developer situated in Espoo. It was established in the year 2003 as Relude, a mobile game development studio, and in 2005 renamed as Rovio. Rovio is best known for its video game franchise Angry Birds.

Angry Birds is a strategy puzzle video game created by Finnish computer game developer Rovio Mobile. Inspired mainly by a sketch of stylized wingless birds, it was originally developed for iOS of Apple in 2009.

Keep in mind that 13-inch tablet concept which Toshiba was displayed a month ago? Yeah, the gadget is official now and it is known as the Toshiba Excite 13. Before anathematizing the tablet PC as unpractical and pointless, just think about it: at times people enjoy sharing their slate with someone else, be it to play a game, surf the web together or watch a movie. In such situation, the large screen is a benefit, and that’s the reason why the company planned to create such a beast.

Motivation for the Toshiba Excite 13 comes from a Tegra 3 1.5GHz processor, so performance shouldn’t be a problem. The touchscreen display boasts 1600 x 900 pixel resolution that might sound like much, however the actual pixel density is quite average because of the physical size of the display. At the back, you will find a rear facing 5.0-megapixel camera, while the front facing 2.0-megapixel camera is at the front for conference calling. It comes preloaded with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but you will have to wait till June, and $629 is what the 32GB model will cost you.

Stir your inner everything with the Toshiba Excite 13 Tablet, one of the sleekest tablet PCs of the world, providing premium styling with performance and ports you require for connecting, sharing, enjoying, browsing and living more boldly than ever before. Whether sharing, simply enjoying or browsing the best digital content, you and your friends will drool when you see this gorgeous 13-inch high resolution LED-backlit display. Its 16:10 aspect ratio is great for widescreen movies, while the multitouch design allows you to control and navigate your visual experience with ease. Like all Toshiba tablet PCs, the Excite 13 gets a full compliment of ports, with MicroUSB jack supporting USB host mode, a full-sized SD card slot, 3.5-mm headset jack, a special Toshiba docking port and HDMI and special TV outputs.

On Wednesday, Samsung announced the availability and pricing details for 3 forthcoming Android powered smartphones, which will soon join the vendor’s ever expanding lineup of Galaxy brand handsets. Continuing its efforts for addressing a variety of screen sizes and price ranges so as to provide consumers as many options as possible, the company will be introducing two new Galaxy Tab tablet PCs and two new Galaxy Player devices between now and mid May.

Already offered countrywide at Best Buy, the entry level Samsung Galaxy Player 3.6 provides a Cortex A8 1GHz processor, a 3.65-inch HVGA display, a VGA front facing camera, a 2.0-megapixel rear facing camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and 8GB of internal storage expandable to 40GB. It will also feature built in Wi-Fi and aims to take on Apple iPod touch at iPod nano price point, costing $149.99.

Samsung Galaxy Player 4.2 is the new addition to the Player lineup that comes with a Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor, a 4.2-inch WVGA display, SoundAlive audio enhancement engine of Samsung, 8GB of internal storage expandable to 40GB, the TouchWiz UI and Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. On Wednesday, the vendor announced that pre-orders will be made available for Galaxy Player 4.2 starting 4th May, and it will be introduced on 13th May for the price of $199.99.

At last, the company revealed the availability and pricing for two of its next-gen Galaxy tablet PCs. The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 comes with 8GB of internal storage expandable to 40GB, a seven-inch display that boasts 1,024 x 600 pixel resolution, a 1GHz dual core processor, 50GB of free Dropbox storage for a year, the TouchWiz UI and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. It will be introduced on 22nd April for the price of $249.99.

The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 gets a 1GHz dual core processor, a 10.1-inch screen that offers 1,280 x 800 pixel resolution, microSDHC support, 16GB of internal storage, a 3.0-megapixel rear facing camera, a built-in IR blaster, 50GB of free Dropbox storage for a year, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, the TouchWiz UI and a VGA front facing camera. Like the seven-inch model, the tablet PC gets the company’s Smart Remote software, which is capable of controlling a huge range of high definition components and televisions, along with other device which can be controlled with universal remote. It will be launched on 4th May and will be offered for $399.99.

Samsung Galaxy S Aviator is a 4G LTE capable Smartphone and your connection to entertainment on the go in a slim, sleek design. Its Super AMOLED Plus display offers ultra sharp images even in direct sunlight. Easily and quickly download your favorite TV shows and movies from Samsung Media Hub and enjoy Android 2.3. Chat with your friends with the front facing 1.3-megapixel camera and capture moments with its rear facing 8.0-megapixel main camera. With Galaxy S Aviator, US Cellular gets another Android smartphone option. Sadly, the weak single core processor and its limited 4G LTE access weigh down an otherwise high flying cellphone.

With Samsung Galaxy S Aviator, the scrappy Chicago-based wireless provider hopes to counter AT&T and Verizon Wireless with a well designed and LTE smartphone. Nevertheless, it doesn’t quite measure up to the company’s other Galaxy smartphones like Galaxy S II or Galaxy Nexus. In spite of its high flying name, the Aviator isn’t a flagship cellphone, however sits somewhere between the 2011’s Galaxy S II and original Galaxy S. The Aviator comes with a Super AMOLED touchscreen display that boasts 800 x 400 pixel resolution with deep blacks and vibrant colors.

The Samsung Galaxy S Aviator measures 2.7 inches wide, 5.1 inches high and 0.46 inch thick. Its additional girth feels good when gripped, particularly for bigger hands. The power button is situated on the right hand side of the device, while the volume rocker on the left. Its connections include 3.5mm headphone jack and HDMI port for connecting to monitors and high definition televisions. Above the display, you will find a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera that’s lower unlike the Galaxy S II. The eight-megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash is at the back and removing the thin cover unveils the LTE SIM card and 16GB microSD memory card slot.

The Samsung Galaxy S Aviator provides a typical Android experience with 7 home screens that can populate with app shortcuts and widgets to heart’s content. Some helpful apps of Samsung include weather widget, YouTube and Yahoo News. Google apps are Gmail, YouTube, Navigation, Talk and Play Books. Useful 3rd party applications include Audible audio book software, Kindle and Amazon MP3. Like other Galaxy smartphones, the company overlays its TouchWiz interface on top of stock Android. Besides weather app propelled by Media Hub store and AccuWeather that sells TV show and Movie rentals, we couldn’t find other flashier TouchWiz functions typically installed on Galaxy S II. These include Live Panel Widgets that increase functionality depending on their size, or zooming in and out of documents and images by tilting the handset while touching the display with both thumbs.

Up center and front, its 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display is passable for most things such as making out small text. In addition, the color reproduction is rather tepid in tone, and more significantly, fails to capture the glint in eyes. In the meantime, the single-core 800MHz processor hums graciously with most basic tasks. However, it is running Android 2.3 Gingerbread with ID pack of Sprint on top of it.
