I do however see that today my new hair color combined with my normal clip up hair style looks like I have a small dog on my head.

Good god. I don't think I've been carried in years! I'm pretty sure it was probably somebody at Mac's back in the day when I used to hang out there and impersonate a fish.

What color shirt were you wearing when you had your last kiss?
Orange.

Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?
HAHA! What I WANTED to be and what I ended up being are so vastly different. I wanted to be a single, childless, graphic designer working for a huge firm making tons of $, and spend my evenings out with friends doing that fish impression I was talking about above. Instead I ended up a married, mother, part time graphic designer working for my own business making tiny $, and spending my evenings in with my family doing all sorts of animal impressions to make my son laugh. But you know what, it's better than anything I could have ever dreamed. I wouldn't change it for the world.

um... that's a really random question. What sort of feelings? Like I have feelings of love for my family and friends that begins with those letters. Cathi, Lily, Trish, Randy, Beth... I can't think of an H person. lol

Some stuff in the mail. and some money to fall from the sky.

Have you ever thought about converting your religion?
No. I am fine with being mostly apathetic. I live by my own morals and standards and really don't do anything 'sinful' so religion isn't exactly important to me. I have studied many religions thoroughly and though some appeal to me, and I was baptized and confirmed Lutheran, I just don't really have religion in my daily life. And I am okay with that.

Where’s your cell phone?
I don't have one right now.

meh. I don't really care either way.

Are you happier single or in a relationship?
Depends. I am happy in my relationship now but I've been in relationships where I was happier single.

If you were caught smoking weed, who will be the angriest? Well first of all, I would be pretty damn surprised myself. lol and then Dave would be angry as shit.

Is there someone of the opposite sex you'll never be able to get over? Yes and no. I am 'over' every guy that was in my life that is no longer. But there is one instance of a situation with one guy in particular that was very tramatic. I will never forget the results of that situation. It's not him so much that I remember, it's his actions that will haunt me. It also led to something amazing too, so it's a hard situation.

Could you go a month without talking to your best friend? it would suck, so I rather not. Dave and I have proved that we can't go even a few days without communication. lol

Is your best friend single? um no. Dave obviously not. And Dee is also married.

Is there a person you CANNOT stand? three of them.

What's your favorite cuss word? Fuck. I love the word. It's like my guilty pleasure. Being so educated it's nice to use something so ignorant. It's like eating 5 pounds of fudge when you're on a diet.

What are your plans for this weekend? Not all my plans are final yet but I know I am going to UMD with Joel on Saturday for the Video Game Orchestra concert thingy and then Mom is coming up on Sunday and then Elijah is going with her so I am going to spend mother's day laying around reading! Yay!

Do you want to have kids? Well it's a little too late for this question. But had you asked me 5 years ago I would have said not yet or no. lol Now that I have Elijah, I wouldn't trade him for the world. He is so awesome!

Do you have any bruises on you? One one my leg from Elijah kicking me while playing.

Ever heard the saying "to get over someone, get under someone else?" lol yes. But it doesn't work. Just makes things more complicated.

Five months ago, can you remember who you liked? lol I should hope so.

Is there someone you'd really like to hang out with and just talk about stuff? Yeah it would be nice to hang out with Dee, Eser, Bob or somebody like that. Somebody that knows me inside and out that I don't have to explain shit to, they just know.

Music Monday - Dedicated to Pip: Mudvayne: World So Cold

This song always reminds me of my late dear friend, my joey, Joe Perez, aka Pip, and the very last times we spent together. Our time hanging out was always something I looked forward to. During our years of friendship some pretty funny and hilarious stuff happened that I will never forget. Just look at the star tattoo on my right leg to prove that. No doubt with one glace at it you would laugh too. Some serious stuff happened too that only strengthened our bond. He was someone I knew I could count on and I hope he knew the same went for me.

I can't watch "Queen of the Damned" or listen to the soundtrack, I can't listen to Cake, especially "Race Car Ya-Yas", without smiling and remembering him being silly and singing them with me, Jer, and Joe. I remember sitting on a log in the middle of Dundalk with him and our group friends in the middle of the night once. I was 18. It was almost 4 am and we had just come back from the playground where we had been sliding like a group of kids, after walking around all night, trying to enjoy every second of the time we had left together before Joe was set to go away for 3 months. I remember the hug we shared and us discussing how much we would miss him. I remember feeling like it would be forever until our group was whole again when he came home and how we didn't feel complete until he was back. I remember the first hug when I saw him again. It was like a breath of fresh air. I never thought that breath of fresh air wouldn't be around forever.

Any time we were together it was always treasured and I will never stop missing his presence. This song was a favorite we shared. I can't listen to it now without feeling a pang of pain and loss in my heart. "Hold the hand of your best friend, look into their eyes, and watch them drift away." That line couldn't have been more painful the first time I realized how much this song would end up symbolizing.

Joe was a very important man to very many people, more important than he knew. A good friend, a son, a husband and an amazing new father.

He was very unfairly, violently, painfully, taken from this world way too soon.
And I, along with every single person he ever touched, will always miss him for the rest of our lives.

Always remember to treasure every day, because you never know if it will be your last.

What is his name?: Dave
How old is he?: 40

Does he live near you?: lmao. We have lived together for the better part of 6 years.

What is his hair like? (color, style, etc.): It's dark. He keeps it shaved very short. In the light it looks black with tiny grey hairs. They are so cute. lol

How tall is he?: I think he's around 5'11"
What's his body figure?: 'I used to work out, now I have a wife and a son and life is stressful' body type. lol
What about his background?: Very structured. Police, Military, Government.
What's his clothing style?: I think I would call his style 'Police casual' but He always looks nice. At home he always wears a tshirt and jean shorts. Most of his t-shirts are police, fire or something similar. lol If we go out he wears a button down shirt 99.9% of the time and jeans.
Any tattoos or piercings?: No. He doesn't like either. On himself or others.

Where/How did you meet him?: I met him at Macy's. I was the acting Jrs dept manager and he had just started as the new Security Director so I had to report to him on theft and shortage. I saw him and instantly felt the need to report something. lol
What was your first impression of him?: WOW.
What made you want to go out with him?: He was perfect. Caring, compassionate, intelligent, well mannered, well groomed/dressed, knew where he was going in life. ...The exact opposite of every guy I ever dated. Yet everything I ever wanted.
