<p>$175 per person</p>
<p>In this hands on workshop, you will learn how to properly process and use tulips. You will see how we choose good quality product to use. Best of all you will leave with a tulip arrangement made by YOU!</p>

<p>This class focuses on the Biedermeier style of hand-tied arrangements. You will learn proper technique on how to design an arrangement in your hand to be placed in a vase. Biedermeier is a style originating in Germany during the early 1800’s. It’s characterized by restraint, conventionality, and utilitarianism. You will take home your design to show off to friends and family.</p>

<p>In this lecture class we will demonstrate what tools in your kitchen you can use to prepare and arrange flowers. A little field trip to one of our wholesalers is on the syllabus for this class. This class is for the Do-It-At-Home type person. You won&#8217;t be leaving empty handed.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-1652" title="Small is the New Large  (photo courtesy of MSLO)" src="http://www.epochfloral.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/dinner-party-300x283.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="283" />Spring, a time of renewal.  Spring, a launch of new thoughts and adventures.  Spring 2010, playing it safe with the Ben Franklin&#8217;s and re-evaluating whats important.  Yes, we love to entertain from small dinners to a large soirée.  But, has the large event, you know the kind, the one you were invited to that blew your mind yet after you sobered up, you didn&#8217;t really remember all the details because they all mushed in your head as being over the top &#8211; has this sort of event evaporated into tackyville?    Small is the new large in my book.  You have a home and I would assume a kitchen and bathroom as well, so why not entertain in the cheapest venue in town?  Your own home!!!  If you have a back yard you just added bonus space for your next big event.  Listen, its easier than you think and far more cost effective and in our times of a down economy it only makes sense, right?  So, paint a wall, buy/rent some great dinnerware, re-arrange that furniture, send a GREAT invite (you know, the kind thats spelled out on a chocolate bar or rolled into a seashell), hire a celebrity chef from your favorite restaurant, set the table(s) to the nine&#8217;s, get those flowers perfectly placed and that music volume set just right and have fun.  Here is what I&#8217;m getting at; home event styling.   Our favorite thing to do for those of you who are toning it down, yet making a huge impact.  I like that flavor of it.  It makes sense, its practical, its intimate and its proof that your home is not just for sleeping anymore.   I find that a simple, small detail such as homemade cookies for your guests to take for the ride home make a bigger impact for a longer time than does 10,000 white lights hanging from a ceiling of a ballroom.   After all, Martha Stewart did it in her horse stables, now thats pretty cool!!!!  (note, picture is from MSLO)</p>
