Furries to Fosters, bad Santa and a detour on an Indian tuk tuk – Michael Cogliantry’s new portfolio showcases the artistic range of one of the newest on Emissary’s roster. The New York native garnered much attention from his “Furverts” photo series and subsequent book in 2009. Since recently moving to Portland, it’s only fitting that he was tapped to photograph Carrie Brownstein & Fred Armisen of IFC’s Portlandia. With a body of work showcasing his range in portraits, landscapes and shots with a flair for nostalgia, we think this funny man will continue to win over commercial and editorial clients, alike. Exciting news for three of our Emissary artists – they have been included in Archive’s 200 Best Photographers book this year! Each of their images was recommended by an art director for inclusion and selected by a panel of judges from over 10,000 submissions. In total, 502 images from around the world were included in this year’s volume and we are so proud to announce that 11 of those were images from Emissary artists!

Gung Hay Fat Choy!

2012 is the year of the Dragon. The Dragon is unpredictable and depending on how you dance with it, it will bring you good fortune or misfortune. It is a year of life-changing transformation and a good time to work on one’s self. Roadblocks of the past will be lifted and free you to move forward, so sharpen your networking skills because career and business opportunities will arise but only if you play your astrological cards right. It’s a good time to take risks, but be careful and sensible for the Dragon is capricious.
