Having a list of subscribers is not just about selling, it’s about giving value. You have to build a trusting relationship with them and in return they will repay you by purchasing whatever it is that you are selling. For example, if I want to promote my website the right way, I can try sending all of my subscribers some nice free stuff from time to time and then later offer them a discount on my products.

Think about email marketing as having a friendly dialogue with your list. Do not only email them just when you want to make some money. You can easily find some quality interesting information on the internet by searching on the article directories or other sources where you can find good free content. An alternative might be to hire someone to write the content for you. I personally prefer to mostly promote my website by writing the emails content myself and I would advise everyone to do that if they can.

You should not send your emails too far apart, but conversely, you don’t want to annoy your subscribers. It may be that you just do not want to write too many emails but I’m afraid that sending one email per month will probably not do the trick of keeping your subscribers interested in your business.

The truth is that there is no right or wrong answer. It all depends on the niche you are in and on a couple of other important factors. Fix your own schedule and test it, changing it from time to time to maximize the best possible results from your marketing campaigns.

The number of emails that I might send out in order to promote my website is decided by what the competition is doing at the time (I keep one eye on my own in-box). I also take into consideration the seasonality of the niche and other market trends. If you want to know more about what your market is doing, you can find out more by looking up Google Trends itself.

Also, your emails should be packed with the latest information in your niche. If your niche is very active then you should always try to keep your subscribers updated with the latest information and they will appreciate you for that. This also means that you may have to send more emails. Make your emails a mix of education, entertainment and sales and you should get much better results from your list. Using a broadcast message is a good way to get something out that is very current.

So create that bond with your subscribers and hopefully you will have a lasting and profitable relationship with them!

It can be very annoying to receive emails from total strangers especially if they’re merely asking for money. However, it’s a totally different story when you use email marketing as a strategy in gaining loyal clients and viewers to your website. You can do this by sending informative newsletters through email.

Email marketing lets you collect as many email addresses as possible. They can be business emails, personal emails or corporate emails. Send an invitation or newsletter about the business you’re promoting to these emails. Though they may be surprised to hear from you, still you can arouse their interest with your friendly and professional approach.

When doing this form of internet marketing, make it as personal as possible by writing their name on your heading. If you don’t have a name of the person, you can indicate the name of the company or business so they won’t automatically put your invitation on their junk.

Email marketing is a gamble since you’ll never know whether it will work or not. There are millions of people out there who have email addresses and you can’t tell how many will respond to you positively. In order for it to work you have to make compelling newsletters regularly and send them out to everybody. The content must be related to your products or whatever you’re offering online. It should also include your website link so people can go directly to it without any hassle.

You can’t expect winning millions of possible customers overnight. Email marketing takes time but once you’ve won individuals who read your newsletters and even subscribe to them, rest assured that you’re on your way to the top.

Writing is a huge passion for me as a result I write about everything for example I have recently created content for a local site looking at Cheap microwave ovens and also a specialist ceramic tile finder website.

Since, I’ve been talking about email campaigns so much let me give you some email marketing tips to help really improve those results. There are a lot of small extras you can throw in there to get good results. Allow me to indulge your hunger.

To Increase How Many People Sign Up To Your Email Campaign

Offer something of great value in exchange for their email. Good examples of this could be a free report that you give them. Let’s say you are a plumber. Write a report on “The Top 10 Things You Must Know Before Hiring A Plumber”. Pretty simple, right. It doesn’t have to be anything extraordinary. Make sure it actually helps your reader make a decision. They will remember the advice you gave them for free when they really do need a plumber. They trust you because you’ve already tried to keep them out of getting a bad plumber.

When you add the form to your website, don’t just have it somewhere on the page. Keep it ‘above the fold’. What this means is in the area a viewer can see without having to scroll down the page. This makes it so simple for them to just enter their email and become a part of your list.

Create a two part video about your product or service. Have the first half of the video be right above the form. From our previous example, it could cover the first 3 major things everyone needs to know before hiring a plumber. Then, at the end, offer them the other 7 things they must know in a video they can get after signing up to your email campaign.

Talk to your web designer about adding an exit or entrance pop up. These are something you can add to a website that once they enter your website or when they are leaving a box pops up. It could say “DON’T FORGET! Sign Up to My Newsletter and Receive Your Free Gift”. It can catch a lot of extra members.

How To Get Better Qualified Prospects On Your Mailing List

Instead of only asking for their email, you should also ask for their name. This does two things. It allows you to approach them on a personal level within your emails better and it weaves out the lazy people that won’t enter two fields instead of just one. You would be surprised at how many this can cut down your sign up list. Remember, it’s not so much a numbers game as it is a quality game.

Use a double opt-in. What this means is after they enter their name/email into the form, they are sent an email in which they must confirm they want to receive what you are offering. You want to test this out on your website. Sometimes, the more the better. Sometimes, the less the better.

How To Generate Profit From Your Email Marketing Campaign

Most email marketing platforms will allow you to send the prospect to a thank you page after they sign up. Create your own thank you page where you offer them a special promotion or a one time offer that they will never see again. The fire is hot inside them right now. They just signed up for your newsletter and want more information. This can usually pull in a nice little extra chunk of change and lead to big numbers.

Build anticipation for promotions. If you are a plumber and have a half off sale going on for the month of August, then start mentioning it in the end of June or early July. Get the wheels turning and get them excited about the great deal you have to offer. Give them the exact time and dates the promotion will go into effect and watch the phones blow up during that period.

All of these email marketing tips can generate a massive list of hungry buyers for local small businesses and online businesses alike. I have used these campaigns in both forms with great success. You are going to always want to expand on your small business internet marketing tactics so that you build your business in all areas.

If you’re new to marketing online, you might have heard about the need for mailing lists. The fact is a mailing list gives you a list of prospects you can contact at any time with offers. But not all marketers have mailing lists. Not even every experienced marketer has one.

Here are three great reasons why you may want to capture people’s names and form a mailing list. First of all, it gives you details of potential buyers that haven’t yet purchased your product. You can follow up with them. Secondly, once you have a customer, this gives you a reason to sell them additional products, because they’ve given you their email address. And finally, at any time you need a cash injection, you can follow up with these people. This is a form of lifeline into your Internet business.

To start with your mailing list to help you to capture future prospects, just imagine when people go to your sales page for your Internet marketing product. Not everyone will buy the first time that they visit your page. In fact, the vast majority of people won’t buy from you at that point. They need to be given constant reminders about the product; given the benefits and reasons to purchase it. That’s one reason you can capture their name and email address as part of a mailing sequence. If you follow up with them subsequently and remind them to go back to your site, you’ll find that some of these prospects purchase anywhere up to the seventh email. This automatically increases your overall number of conversions.

The next reason you might want a mailing list is to follow up with the existing customers. Once you have succeeded in making a sale, then you’ve got somebody who already knows your name and will be interested in buying from you again. So if you continue to contact them and to bombard them with future offers, you can be sure of some future sales. That’s just a great long term business strategy. Every time you release a new product, these people will be keen to hear from you. You can even promote affiliate offers from other marketers, like joint ventures, by using your mailing list as leverage.

Finally, this gives you the option to have a cash lifeline. Just imagine you’re short of money one weekend, and you’re looking for a quick, instant cash fix. All you need to do is to send a message out into your mailing list asking them if they want to buy a product. This might be one of your own, or it may be an affiliate offer. Failing that, you can even offer a service. Say you’ll be writing articles or providing sales letters for a reasonable price. If you’re an Internet marketing list, this can be a good lifeline to getting an instant cash boost. So you never need to worry about money again as your list grows.

Generally, I would highly recommend that you start building a mailing list as soon as possible. Don’t put it off just because you’re not getting a great deal of traffic. Your list will pay for itself in next to no time by giving you the option to contact people and market your wares to them.

Optin email marketing is one of the easiest ways to make money online, and if done correctly, it is also one of the most lucrative. Before you can put together a successful optin email marketing campaign you need to understand the fundamentals.

First things first, optin email marketing is based around one single idea…

The idea of the “opt-in”

This means that potential prospects are not just added to some list without notification. Instead, they are directed to a specific type of website that will allow them to decide for themselves if they want to be added to that email list or not.

This does a few things…

First, your email list is now much more targeted in comparison to an email list that is filled up with “purchased” leads. In the internet marketing industry which I am in, the amount of money you make generally relates in direct proportion to the number of people that you have on your email list.

With that in mind, I would much rather have a list of 10,000 people who have went through the optin email marketing process that I explained above then a list of 100,000 people that were purchased from a lead source somewhere.

The simple fact that people raise their hand and request your emails, means that your list will be much more responsive and many times more profitable.

The second thing that I like about optin email marketing is that it keeps you safe from any potential “SPAM” complaints because the only people that receive your emails are the ones that have specifically requested to do so.

SPAM is a big time “no no” in the internet marketing world.

Once people go to your special page and “opt in” to receive your emails, (this is called a squeeze page by the way) then you now have the ability to send them related offers and earn money from the ones who buy.

This is just a brief overview of optin email marketing, but there is much more to learn if you want to do it the right way. I have made my fair share of mistakes with optin email marketing and have put together a free gift for you that should help. Be sure to check out the link at the end of this article to claim your gift, and more importantly…

Go out there and make some money.

Making money online is really simple if you just have the right strategies to follow; unfortunately many people never experience the success they desire because they don’t have a guide to show them the way.

Getting a high email delivery rates is not easy as what you think, there are lot of factors that needs to be taken into consideration when implementing email marketing campaign. One of that is on how to avoid spam filters. Here are the suggested tips on how can you avoid spam blacklist filters to get your emails delivered to the right customers. First thing you need to do is try not to use spam trigger keywords or phrases in the body, title, and subject of your content. Examples of these phrases are the “You are the 50th winner!”, “You may now claim your prize at…” etc.

These key phrases are the ones that spam blacklist would filter easily. You want your company to have a reputable name in the niche that you have chosen and sending SPAM to your clients will make your name bad as hell.

Second, do not attach any files without the permission of your clients, because most people are afraid of opening attachments, since viruses can be added to the attachment much like a Trojan horse, worm, etc. Who wants his/her user accounts and passwords to get hack? Nobody!

Lastly, sending obscure emails full of capitalized letters, exclamation marks because spam filters will certainly notice these words and your email will not receive by your customers. These ambiguous words are the words and phrases most used in scams and spam messages. One more thing if they think you are a SPAM they would also think that you are nothing but a bunch of SCAM. You want a high email delivery rates and as to get this target just simply follow these 3 easy steps.

Need some help with your Email Delivery Rates? Then visit this website www.emailreach.com and try their email marketing services now!

As an Internet marketer, you may be wondering why you are not getting the traffic to your site. As anyone knows, less traffic results in fewer sales. What you need to do is consider a marketing strategy that is going to get the attention for your business. One of the most effective strategies is to email newsletters to your leads. The following are three reasons why sending out your newsletter will work:

1. The main reason that sending out a newsletter works is that it allows for targeted marketing. Most Internet marketers understand that to get the most effective results in marketing, they must direct the advertisement at those who have already shown some interest in their products or business, in this case it is the email. Everyone that receives the information you have sent will be a member of your target market.

2. You will also find that newsletters are a great way to build stronger relationships with your customers and your prospects. Truthfully, most people are skeptical and until a trusting relationship is built, they are not going to follow any direction you give them. Sending them with valuable information will help to build this trust by email.

3. Sending out a newsletter to your target market that contains information on new products or services will give you the opportunity to get more direct sales. In a sense, this email is no different than sending out a postcard in the mail on a sale that you are having or the announcement of a new product. This direct marketing will result in higher sales for you and more appreciation from your customers and leads for the email.

The above are just three reasons why sending out newsletters to your target market works. The truth is, it can help you to create brand awareness and gain attention for your business. The key in making this strategy work, however, is to make sure the list you send it to are quality leads and that you are giving them valuable information in it. If there is no helpful information in it, it could do your business more harm than good.

Those engaged in email marketing must accept that, despite the costs being considerably lower than for other forms of direct marketing, savings must be made to remain competitive. Just being efficient is not enough. You have to be more efficient than your competitors.

In any search for areas where significant savings can be made, managing your email inbox has to be one of the more obvious. Simple and cheap solutions can reap considerable reward.

It is simple management theory to say that by limiting the number of queries that you receive you lower costs. Fewer emails means a smaller infrastructure to deal with them. So what can you do?

If your email list is small because you sell items of high value then the personal touch might be considered an essential. For the rest of us engaged in email marketing it is a luxury we cannot afford. Our essential is year-on-year savings.

The first thing to do is examine your emails. You need to identify those which cost you the most in time and also the most common. This will show you what needs addressing first.

If one type of query comes time and again it tends to suggest that the source of the problem lies with you. Consider modifying your systems in a way that will limit the number of queries. Perhaps the instructions with the item are poorly worded or even incorrect. Give copies to your staff and ask them if they find them clear. Remember no instructions ever confused its readers by being aimed too low.

However, you will be aware that if you upset a customer by patronising them they might withdraw from your email list so you have to consider their self image. Try two levels of instructions, one for those with previous experience and an appendix for those ‘new to our system’.

If there are a whole range of subjects then another route might be more efficient. The obvious answer is a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page. However, as there appears to be a reluctance to use the facility it can be helpful to push your customers towards it as often as reasonable.

Anyone engaged in email marketing will know about click throughs. So establish hotlinks at all stages of the procedure. The difficulty can be in stopping those on your email list from going for email immediately. But there are little tricks you can do.

One thing is to tell your customers that the FAQ page will, quite likely, speed up their enquiry. Make it clear that it is there for their benefit. It has to be accepted though that most will ignore the prompt.

There are two thoughts as to whether an email address should be easy to find, perhaps included on a contacts page. Some suggest, and with good reason, that as retention of those on your email lists makes economic sense, the frustration that builds up in clicking on link after link might be too costly. But there are others who, after some years in email marketing, might suggest that it is a risk worth taking.

Email marketing as a discipline comes with both its own specific technical terms as well as those it shares with other branches of online marketing. Without a guide, it can be a little confusing, particularly if you’re not familiar with either the technical side of email or digital marketing in general. With that in mind here is a brief guide to some of the terms that are specific to email marketing and some of the most important general terms from digital marketing:

Click Through

A general online marketing term that refers to whenever a user ‘takes action’ by clicking a link - any type of link.

Click Through Rate (CTR)

A vital means of measuring the success of any online marketing campaign, this refers to the number of times a link has been clicked compared with the number of times it has been seen. For an online display ad, this would be the number of times it was clicked-through compared to the number of times a user loaded the ad into their browser. Similarly in email marketing, the CTR is determined by dividing the number of clicks with the number of emails sent out.

Blacklist

Used throughout the internet in much the same context as in the ‘real world’, this is a list of entities - of IP addresses in this case - that are classed as undesirable by another organisation. In the context of email marketing, it refers to a list of IP addresses that are used by individuals or organisations that have been caught sending SPAM. These blacklists are often used by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to filter out mail coming from these IP addresses, cutting down on the number of SPAM messages and reducing the potential security risks of malicious emails.

SPAM

The plague of email and the reason that Permission Marketing has become the norm for email marketers, SPAM is simply unsolicited bulk or commercial email. Today a huge portion of these messages are automatically filtered out by email clients, ISP’s or users though it is estimated that the majority of email messages sent across the internet are still SPAM. This is because SPAM messages are generally sent by entirely automated programmes that continuously send messages out until their IP address is blacklisted. In many cases SPAM is useless at driving a successful call to action and subsequently is used maliciously as a phishing scam or delivery mechanism for malicious software.

Permission Marketing

Otherwise known as “opt-in” marketing, this has been the paradigm of successful email marketing for some time - even before anti-SPAM laws such as CAN SPAM came into effect. The name is fairly self-explanatory; email marketing sent only to people who have given their permission to have the messages sent to them and where they can take that permission away. Often achieved through an online registration form, this method of marketing has benefits far beyond regulatory compliance; if someone is initially interested in your messages, then their call-to-action is much more likely to succeed. Conversely, without permission many people will view your message and perhaps your brand with suspicion and possible hostility.

CRM, the abbreviation of Customer Relationship Management, has been a buzzword for a decade and has become an old term now. While it is treated as commonplace as ERP (Enterprise Resources Planning), HRM (Human Resources Marketing), E-Marketing, etc., why should we bother discussing it again?

The fact: many benefits of CRM are yet to be discovered.

The ancestors of CRM solutions started from software boxes like ACT!, and later Goldmine and Maximizer, the so-called “Contact Managers” to “upgraded” versions of CRM (of course, I skipped a lot like “PIM” or “Groupware”) that help users manage the interactions, documents, potentials, or later projects, voice, or many more and in company basis. A decade ago, research companies like Gartner speculated the big potential of CRM solutions and therefore many solutions, like Saleslogix, ACCPAC (or Sage) CRM, and later Salesforce and MS CRM were found on the global market. The revolution of SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) and now Cloud Computing further boosts the global CRM implementations and therefore the revenue to, still, double-digit annual growth rate even during the years of financial tsunami. Millions of people, especially in the United States are still paying Salesforce US$65 per user per month and thus contributed the annual revenue of the company beyond $US 1 billion last year. Thanks to evangelists like Mr. Paul Greenburg, author of the best-selling CRM book called “CRM at the Speed of Light”, CRM wheel has been moving fast and are still evolving (e.g. Customer Experience Management, Social CRM,… well, I am sure more will be coming).

When we look at the Asian market, however, the situation seems not as encouraging as that in the western world. Just take an example of the International ICT Expo in Hong Kong held in April 2010 that just finished. We received comments like:

- Why the sales pipeline / forecast is obtained by such rough opportunity percentage?

- Writing to the system does in fact kill my time in pitching more customers

- (Sales people) Why should I put the contacts to company database as in case I leave the company, I can “bring” them to the new one to keep on the pitching.

Not many people are concern with using some scientific approach to keep healthy pipeline (or that’s the similar reason why stuff like Balanced Scorecard or Management KPIs is yet to be popular in most of the SMEs). Further, professionals here could be meaner on time in writing even simple sentences but be concerned less on the time in looking for information (i.e. files, contacts and emails from different locations) that is in fact killing their valuable time. What’s more, physical but dead contact information could mean more than a great tool in managing great relationship with your customers who can directly contribute their prospects in the companies that they are serving.

But above all, being reluctant to change is the most important reason. My experience can prove the statement that at least 80% of conversation with prospects is to invite them back to the right track to explore the opportunities together but replies are usually they are busy. Well, I have been offering apps and services to help them turn their valuable time into opportunities and thus revenue.

CRM is indeed beneficial to a lot of businesses but they just need “a reason” to kick off the project immediately. What I can say is that it is not up to me to “offer” my customers a reason to buy my solutions, but whether there is any “strategy” in business owners’ mindsets to make their companies more competitive.
