We actually matched on tinder during the 2020 shut down but we never talked over the app. Josh eventually found me on facebook and sent me a message about going out to dinner sometime. Four months later we finally planned a date (I was playing the hard to get game). 

We went to a local restaurant in town called 7 senses and we stayed and talked after dinner until the restaurant closed. Josh immediately planned another date and we continued dating until February 4th, 2022 when Josh asked me to marry him. 

I wanted our wedding to be timeless and romantic with a color palette of whites, soft pinks, and gold. 

I wore an Allure bridal dress in ivory purchased at Brides by Glitz in Nashville, TN. Josh wore a blue Calvin Klein suit purchased from Men’s Wearhouse.

I would say my favorite wedding day detail would be the stunning florals.

Our favorite wedding day memories are our daughter being able to be a part of our wedding day, the amazing band that played, and our bubble exit!

Make sure to have a few private moments with your partner for breathers and to remind yourselves that this day is about the two of you and your beautiful journey together as now husband and wife. When the reception starts don’t use this time to make sure you interact with every guest (especially if you have a big wedding guest count), your friends and family will come to you. Instead enjoy your celebration on the dance floor or however you want to celebrate with your closets people! 

Our day was so special for Josh and I because we got to be with the people we love the most. We both have a pretty large number of friends (12 people on each side for the bridal party), and we had the most amazing day with no drama. We wanted that day to be a fun celebration for us and all of our guests and I think we accomplished that!

We met freshman year of college in our freshman orientation class. We both were taking Rap class as our class – he actually chose to take it, and I just procrastinated and that was one of the last options, haha. He also lived in the dorm that my best friend lived in and we stayed friends throughout the years and in our “super senior” year of college we decided to give dating a try and it worked out! 

Funny story on the proposal – we went to look at rings in February and he didn’t propose until December so the night before he was actually going to propose we had a conversation that I thought it was never going to happen. Little did I know he had planned a dinner, where he proposed with just us two, then planned a party afterwards with our close family and friends! 

For years I always wanted an all white wedding – so I wore white, my bridesmaids wore white, and all the flowers were white. 

My dress was Azul by Liancarlo (Style 18114). I went in thinking I wanted a long sleeve dress but couldn’t find one I loved. We went to three different places and this was the very last dress I tried on. At this point I thought I wasn’t going to find one. The person helping me ( from the White Magnolia in Atlanta) suggested I tried on this mermaid, strapless dress, that had a low cut and I was like Ok, I will try (with hesitation) but then the second I put it on, I knew it was the one for me! 

He wanted just a classic look so he wore a black tux that he rented from the company The Black Tux. He then got suede loafers that he work with no socks to make it a bit more trendy. 

Having the painter was amazing as well and added an extra special touch. 

I loved my first look with my husband! I still remember the butterflies I had walking down to see him. Would re-live this moment everyday if I could :) 

I loved when we got announced to the reception and all the bridal party came out and we had a little dance party all together! 

Easier said than done – but try not to stress when things don’t go the way you want them too. Something will go wrong on the wedding day but I promise no one will have any idea it went wrong. 

Also, the welcome bags are not that big of a deal! If you don’t want to spend extra money on them – I say don’t do it and spend your money elsewhere. 

Loved my flowers!! They were everything I wanted and more! 

John Samuel and I met our junior year of college at Auburn University. Unbeknownst to us, we quickly realized on our first date that we grew up less than 2 hours from each other and that our high schools often played each other in sports— he, in a small down in South Georgia, and I in a town that sits right on the Georgia / Florida line. Before officially meeting, he noticed me at a mutual friend’s birthday party we both attended, and after that he was able to find out my name. In the oh-so-romantic age of social media, he found my profile on Instagram and we only had one mutual friend, so, he contacted her and asked if she could send him my number. He promptly called me and asked if I wanted to go get ice cream… and the rest is history! 

My husband’s parents live on a beautiful 9,000 acre farm that sits just outside of Auburn, where we attended college. Ever since we started dating, we would often take the windy scenic drive out to his parents’. We would play with their dogs, ride four-wheelers, fish in the lake, but one of our favorite activities to do together, was ride horses through the property’s woods and trails, something we had both grown up loving. On October 23, 2022, John Samuel had told me his parents had some friends in town, so we were headed to have dinner with them at the farm, but, he promised me that we could first ride horses. His younger brother rode with us to the farm, and rode horses with us, throwing off any chance of me noticing a proposal plan taking place. As we were riding horses, his brother came up with an excuse as to why he needed to head back to the barn. We neared s clearing in the woods that led to a rolling grassy hill on which a log cabin sat, overlooking the property’s glistening lake. We tied up our horses and he walked me to a wooden bench with a bouquet of flowers and a Bible with my new name, sitting on top. After the proposal, we headed back to his parents’ house to celebrate with our families. When we arrived however, all of our best friends were all gathered, standing on the back patio cheering and chanting as we walking through the doors! It was a day we will never forget! 

My vision for our wedding was timeless, elegantly Southern, and elevated. Deciding on the venues for each event first greatly helped me in mirroring the details to compliment the venues accordingly. Our ceremony took place in mine and my family’s church. Getting married in my church was very important to me, as it was where I was raised, baptized, and ultimately shaped my faith and molded the person I am today. Walking down the aisle in a church I had ran through as a child so many times, and seeing the same faces who had raised me over the years, was so special to me.

The reception was held at a country club called Glen Arven, which sits in a small town just past the Georgia border. I loved having a place that also represented my husband’s roots and shared in the same sentimentality of growing up just down the road. John Gandy and his team, along with my mother and I, sought to play off of the natural and lush greenery that encompasses the club in the middle of a southern summer. We had smilax encircling the white columns off the porch, a sail-cloth tent that overlooked the course, and a flower box wall that covered the length of the bar in the tent. All other elements had greens, whites, and neutrals, to really blend with and compliment the scenery around them. 

I wore a custom Monique Lilhiller gown with silk organza sleeves. I knew from the beginning that I wanted sleeves on my dress, and shared that vision with my designer, Mandi Jackson. Mandi along with her incredibly-talented seamstress and designer, Jessica Brown, both created a dress that exceeded my expectations. Jessica also designed and created my rehearsal dinner dress from scratch— a pearlized fabric that softly reflected in the light, overlayed with flower appliqués complimented by tiny pearls in the center of each. The tea-length dress had ruffled straps and a subtle sweetheart neckline.

My going-away / exit dress was incredibly special to me. I chose to wear my mother’s rehearsal dinner dress that she wore 30 years ago when her and my father got married. Complete with gold beading  overtop a midnight blue dress and 80s style shoulder pads, it was the perfect way to make our last debut of the night as husband and wife! 

The most important thing to us throughout the whole planning process when we envisioned what we wanted our wedding to feel like was the word “home.” Having each grown up so close to where we would get married, we knew that we would be combining two large groups of family and friends. Because of this, it was all the more important that our people felt at home, being welcomed back to their roots as well, as they travelled from far and near. 

This is such a hard question! There are so many moments we wish we could go back and re-live. One that stands out to me, was getting ready with my bridesmaids. Spending quality time with your best friends on your special day when the chaos of the day hasn’t ensued yet, was the perfect start. We giggled and shared stories in our pajamas, as we got ready for the day, just as we had done so many times before. 

Another favorite memory of mine was right before I walked down the aisle, standing with my precious dad. Some of my favorite photos captured from that day are of us laughing and chatting right before they opened the church doors. I loved having those moments of feeling like a little girl again with her daddy. 

One of my most fun memories was when John Samuel and I got up on stage and sang “Sweet Home Alabama” with all of our college friends. This was so much fun for both of us, as we had sung that song so many times over the years, and got to share in it on our wedding day! 

Jessica Cameron designed our cake, and it was absolutely exquisite. Her attention to detail is unmatched and just like with every other aspect of our wedding, she sought to tell a story, a story that showcased our love but also what we love most. The cake she designed had different tiers that displayed different elements of our stories. She incorporated birds, natural elements of trees and flowers, all intricately hand-piped, displaying a true work of art. 

Family heirlooms were so important for us to incorporate throughout our wedding weekend. My maternal grandmother passed away when I was younger, and my sister and I were both extremely close to her. For my rehearsal dinner, I carried her white hand-beaded wedding clutch from the 1940s. On my wedding day, I wore her Diamond Pearl drop earrings that she also wore on her wedding day. 

John Samuel’s parents gifted him a white linen handkerchief with a note written in blue stitching— he wore this on the inside of his tux pocket, along with the monogrammed cuff links I gave to him as a wedding present. 

Every single one of our pros was phenomenal! Our videographer, Prescott Van Leer, John Gandy Events, Catherine Taylor, Jessica Cameron, Morgan Warmack, and every other vendor. We could not have had a more amazing team that made our whole wedding process absolutely seamless!

Tobias and Julie met on Tinder on October 8, 2018. Tobias had just moved from Argentina and Julie from Los Angeles. They were each others first tinder date in Aspen, their new home. They met at the local brewery where they learned a lot about each other. Then Tobias took Julie to the Aspen movie awards. He kissed her goodnight and they spoke everyday since. 

Julie and Tobias got engaged on October 10, 2021. It was no surprise they were getting engaged as the two had spent the last four months designing a beautiful engagement ring. It was a beautiful fall evening in Aspen, when Tobias got down on his knee and and proposed to Julie.

I love the natural beauty of Aspen, CO where we live. The gorgeous wildflowers and the drastic ridge lines of the mountains. As I was planning the wedding, I wanted to make sure to capture the beauty of where we live and tie the nature into everything. Our wedding took place in the Northstar Nature Preserve looking out at the snow peaked mountains of independence pass. I did not have an arch as the landscape behind us was the most picturesque background we could ask for. The chairs at the ceremony were a combination of wood chairs and benches. The aisle was the natural dirt. 

The reception took place about 50 feet from the ceremony in a sail cloth tent. The sides of the tent were open to allow all guests to have a wonderful view, fresh summer air, and to feel like they were dining outside. The tables were a combination of round and rectangular and were covered with ivory table clothes ( some of which were velvet and others silk) and the napkins a pale pink. The flowers, my favorite moment, were a combination of poppies and ranunculas. Poppies grow here in Aspen so it really felt like we were bringing the outside in. I wanted the flowers to be light, airy and whimsical. Our florist, a friend of mine, was able to capture exactly what I had envisioned. 

I wore a custom made dress by Paolo Sebastian. The dress had a gorgeous cape attached to both shoulders. It bustled for the reception. I wore Chanel Mary Jane’s, a tennis bracelet loaned to me by my best friend and pearls in my hair. My husband and groomsmen wore a cream colored linen suit by suit supply. 

The flowers on the tables in the tent were absolutely gorgeous. The colors, the light and airy vibe truly brought the outside in. 

I also loved our stationery. The invitations were in the shape of mountains. The welcome bag stationery was a flip book which represents me as a teacher. 

Lastly, I loved the backdrop of our wedding ceremony. There was nothing blocking it and it was just pure beauty and nature. 

My favorite memories included my parents walking me down the aisle to my husband and dog. Our first dance- we sang and did a dance to “time of My Life”, the dancing and partying with friends and family. 

The welcome bags were all DIY. My mother selected everything in the bags. They included a kit of bug spray, hand sanitizer, and lotion. There was a snack box of mine and my husband’s favorite foods ( olives and alfajores an Argentinian cookie). There were local snacks like Popcorn and Woody Creek vodka. There was a matchbox and bottle opener. Everything was monogrammed! 

Take time to figure out what your aesthetic is and what is really important. I knew immediately I wanted to have an indoor/ outdoor wedding and incorporate nature. I knew the flowers I wanted, and it all evolved from there. 

The caterers did a wonderful job. They had the most extravagant charcuterie board during cocktail hour and their presentation of the French passed entrees during dinner service was excellent.

Nicolas and Danielle’s wedding day displayed a fantasy of white flowers that reached far beyond the limits of the ordinary as installations and arrangements took new heights and forms. Located in St. Augustine’s charming downtown district, The Treasury on the Plaza showed off its opulent spaces with intricate architectural details. Danielle posed for bridal portraits in the hallway, where the iron windows were permeated by soft filtered lighting. Her hairstyle included a sparkling hairpiece and pearls that mindfully adorned her curls. The ceremony and reception were held in the grand lobby, where ornate columns supported towering ceilings. White flowers transcended this room from floor to ceiling as they danced about, celebrating the art-deco era architecture. An altar was set entirely in flowers before a wall uniquely draped in ivory fabrics. Cloudlike floral arrangements floated above the tables. The couple’s head table included a white tufted loveseat and a clear table surrounded by candles and nearby floral installations. Nicolas and Danielle stole away from their party just long enough to pose outdoors beneath sweeping oak trees and walk along the scenic waterway. 

Nicolas came from Florida and Danielle came from Maine. We met in the middle due to Dani’s work being in Nashville, and Nick was stationed at Fort Campbell through the army. We met literally in the middle of the ways to each other. We matched online using a dating app, when we both were about to close up shop and focus on ourselves. Instantly we knew that we were meant for each other, and both of our lives took a complete turn in the best way. 

We went to Anakeesta in Gatlinburg for Christmas vacation. Nick ended up proposing on our last day there on the observation tower in front of the whole beautiful view of Gatlinburg. The fireworks and stars were in the perfect position. We were engaged for 2-3 months and then were legally married on March 4th. Our celebration came a year later due to life’s busy schedule.

We wanted our wedding to be a completely different world when we walked in, and we wanted our guests to experIence that as well. Our vendors were able to help guide us on what works best for this vision, and they certainly made it come true.

Dani wanted a dress like no other that had a princess vibe. It perfectly encompassed that vision. Nick went with the classic black suit, which is the vision he shot for.

The lighting in the actual venue itself fostered the magical environment. Our DJ used the perfect background music and dance music. Our rental company used the drapes to make an amazing background through the ceremony and reception. Our photographer captured everything which was amazing also.

Dancing with all our our guests was great! We did a photo challenger where the bride and groom run to each table and take group photos as fast as they can, and try to complete each table in one song. That was so fun. Seeing everyone so happy and present was also amazing.  Also the photo shoots were so much fun and beautiful! But the best memory was our private last dance.

To leave a note, we left a polaroid camera and a sharpie for guests to take photos and leave a nice note behind them. We used butterfly cutouts and wrote the names of guests and what table they sit at on the back, while putting the butterfly on the champagne glass.

Plan much ahead of time, and be proactive and flexible. The more you finish ahead of time, the less you will have to worry about when the day draws near. We had 0 worries in the last 2 weeks of our wedding planning.

Our Florist absolutely created the most beautiful arrangement of flowers that was the fantasy we were looking for. Our Catering was delicious and beautifully presented.

The centerpiece of this enchanting day was the bride herself. Her dress was a masterpiece, fitting her like a glove and cascading into a long trail that spoke of luxury. It was intricately embroidered with lace and sparkles, capturing the essence of fairy tales. Her hair, brown as honey in the Tuscan sun, was styled in loose, flowing curls. Her make-up, expertly done by Cherie Spisso, enhanced her natural beauty, giving her a radiant and glowing look that perfectly complemented the romantic Tuscan setting.

As she walked down the aisle, she held in her hand a bouquet that was nothing short of a work of art, a composition of blush pink and toffee roses, bunny tails, white ruscus, rice flowers, and dahlias. It was a reflection of her beauty and the love that brought her here. She radiated sweetness and elegance, a true vision of love and happiness.

The bridesmaids, dressed in chic pink nude gowns, were the perfect complement to the bride’s elegance. Their attire radiated grace, and they carried bouquets that mirrored the bride’s in style and color, albeit on a slightly smaller scale. The groom, standing tall beside the bride, was striking in a black suit. But what set him apart were the classic watch and French cuffs, a touch of sophistication that added flair to his attire.

The setting for the ceremony was the Giardino delle Rose. Here, amidst an abundance of living flowers, the couple declared their love and commitment. The ambiance was further elevated by the soulful melodies of the Soul Duo from Musica Evento. Greenery and flowers grew up asymmetrically to decorate the existing structure, creating a magical backdrop for the vows. Grounded florals lined the two sides of the aisle, guiding the couple toward their shared future.

The celebration continued in the Frutteto, a scene straight out of a fairytale. Guests were welcomed to an opulent array of beige velvet sofas and low, stable tables, complemented by tall tables with fitting high chairs, all adorned in gold. The cocktail selection was nothing short of premium, with choices ranging from gin and vodka to rum, whisky, and tequila-based concoctions. Bubbles from Vignamaggio and the finest Italian beers, Peroni or Moretti, were on offer.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, guests made their way to the front of the villa. Here, an extraordinary dinner awaited, orchestrated by the acclaimed food vendor, Galateo. The tables were adorned with low and unstructured florals along the middle, where candle holders of varying heights and tealights in votives created a romantic atmosphere. A mirrored runner down the center of the tables added a touch of elegance. The dinner was a four-course delight, including two pasta courses, a main course with sides, and a wedding cake. Dishes like giant ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and lemon, dressed with asparagus cream and candied lemon zest, were followed by paccheri fresh pasta with saffron cream, confit Pachino tomatoes, and asparagus tips. The main course was a succulent beef fillet with Chianti Classico wine sauce, served with sage-flavored roasted potatoes and steamed asparagus dressed with extra virgin olive oil.
