Venus and Andrea’s wedding story began in Italy, where they hosted an intimate ceremony on the island of Ischia along the Amalfi Coast in September, honoring his Italian roots and their shared love of la dolce vita. Because of timing and paperwork, the legal “I do” would have to wait, so they chose to extend the celebration with a second wedding in Florida a few months later. “We all love each other so much,” Venus shared. “It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day.”

The Florida wedding unfolded as an elegant five-day house-party-meets-hometown-homecoming in Palm Beach, where Venus and Serena grew up. After their early-morning vows, they shared breakfast together, a beautifully understated, old-world gesture that fits their classic, timeless approach to celebration.

Set within the Lu family home, newly envisioned for the occasion, the event invited guests into a serene and personal world that reflected the values at the heart of the Casablanca brand. Every space, every vignette, every design decision was chosen with purpose. The result was an immersive expression of confidence communicated through beauty, artistry, and the quiet luxury of thoughtful design.

For Creative Director Crystal Lu, choosing her family home as the venue for this campaign was more than a sentimental choice. It was an expression of the brand’s origins and spirit.

She shared that this home represents her family’s long journey. A journey that began in a modest one-bedroom condo where she shared a room with her parents. Years of persistence and sacrifice eventually led to the creation of Casablanca Bridal. Opening the doors of this home to guests became a way to honor that narrative.

In Crystal’s words, “Our family home stands as a testament to my parents’ hard work and resilience. Reimagining it as Confidence Cove made this campaign deeply personal. I wanted guests to step into the story of where we came from and what we have built.”

Rather than designing a spectacle, the team leaned into the natural intimacy of the space. Sunlight filled the rooms and ocean air moved through open doors. Guests were welcomed into an environment that felt warm, thoughtful, and connected to the legacy behind the brand. The aim was not to create distance between the gowns and their observers. Instead, it was to invite guests to feel part of the story being told.

The Spring 2026 Casablanca collections were previewed throughout the home in curated vignettes that allowed visitors to appreciate the details up close. Crystal explained that confidence begins within the construction of the gowns themselves, long before a bride steps into them.

“Confidence has to be designed from the inside out,” she said. “A gown cannot simply look beautiful. It must make a bride feel beautiful in order for true confidence to emerge.”

This belief is reflected in the craftsmanship. Strong internal boning offers structure. Architectural lines create sculptural shape. Fluid fabrics bring movement and ease. And one detail Crystal highlighted stood out: the petersham waistband. Hidden from sight, this band anchors the waist and creates a secure, refined silhouette. It is a quiet feature with a remarkable impact and a reminder that beauty often begins with what is felt rather than seen.

Throughout Confidence Cove, the design philosophy was extended into the environment. Each space was curated to allow guests to experience confidence through all the senses.

Soft soundscapes created by Spirit and Sound welcomed guests with layered audio that subtly shaped the atmosphere. A custom scent developed by Susan James Fragrance carried through the rooms, bringing notes of warmth and elegance. Jina Koh’s handwritten calligraphy added a personal touch that echoed the collection’s sentiment.

French Buckets provided florals that complemented the architecture of the home, adding softness without overwhelming the structure. Cocktails by Bourbon x Bitters, plated offerings by Plates and Bowls Catering, and the graceful styling throughout created a cohesive visual and sensory experience.

No detail was ornamental. Each element contributed to the campaign’s central theme. Guests were not observers. They were participants in a thoughtfully designed world where confidence was expressed in tangible, refined ways.

One of the most memorable components of the event was the confidence activation guided by photographer David Suh. Instead of traditional portrait stations, David invited guests to engage with their reflection in a series of mirrors placed throughout the home. The gentle coaching he offered encouraged guests to explore posture, presence, and self expression in a way that felt sincere and natural.

His approach emphasized connection rather than performance. Guests practiced confidence, then carried that ease with them into portraits that captured authenticity rather than artifice. It was a quiet but profound experience that tied seamlessly into the campaign’s overarching message.

To understand how the design, styling, and activations came together so harmoniously, I spoke with campaign architect Ashley Powell, who oversaw the creative cohesion of the event.

“For me, design is never just about aesthetics,” she said. “It is about how every detail works together to tell a story.”

Ashley explained that each creative partner was selected not only for their craft but for their ability to translate confidence into a sensory experience. Some partners, such as Spirit and Sound and Susan James Fragrance, had been on her radar for years as she waited for the right moment to collaborate. Others emerged through meaningful connections that aligned naturally with the campaign’s spirit.

The stage and structural elements were built by Cactus Fabrication, a team known for shaping some of Hollywood’s most memorable branded environments. SEA MGMNT reimagined the Lu family home into Confidence Cove, creating a seamless extension of the Casablanca Bridal brand and a newly envisioned venue space.

The result was a creative ecosystem where every partner contributed a layer of richness and elegance. The collaboration felt effortless, balanced, and deeply aligned with the campaign’s intention.

There is a delicate art to creating an event that feels elevated yet personal, luxurious yet inclusive. Ashley shared that the key to achieving this balance was ensuring that inclusivity was part of the design foundation rather than an add-on.

“The aesthetics created beauty. The inclusivity created belonging. The intimacy created connection,” she explained. “Together, they allowed the campaign to feel like more than an event. It became an experience brides could see themselves reflected in.”

Guests, creators, and partners were all treated as contributors to the environment. The result was a sense of harmony that felt natural rather than curated. The atmosphere was gracious, welcoming, and rooted in storytelling.

Inspired by their engagement under the cherry blossoms in Washington, DC, the couple wove their love for pink florals throughout their entire day. It all began in 2014 with a simple swipe on Tinder, proof that love can blossom in the most unexpected places. Julia recalls that it was “love at first swipe,” and their connection quickly deepened beyond the digital spark. Built on mutual respect, honesty, and heartfelt conversations, their relationship thrives on adventure whether exploring new cultures, savoring local cuisines, or simply strolling through the grocery store together. They are self-proclaimed “HUGE foodies,” savoring life as much as they savor each bite.

For Julia, the realization came early, she couldn’t imagine a life with anyone else. Jordan’s unwavering support, his ability to empower her, and his genuine care made her certain he was the one. “I didn’t want to imagine anyone as wonderful as he is,” she says. This deep connection became the foundation for their shared dreams, and it’s a bond they continue to nurture every day.

When Jordan planned the proposal, he knew it had to be magical and a complete surprise. Disguised as a 7-year anniversary photo shoot, the early morning session at the Cherry Blossom Festival in DC was filled with pink petals and anticipation. Julia teased him about it sounding like an engagement, but Jordan’s playful denials kept her convinced otherwise. It wasn’t until the photographer had them stand back-to-back and turn toward each other that Julia saw him down on one knee. The rest, as she says, “is a beautiful blur captured on camera.”

Q: Give us all the details about the proposal. How and where did it happen? Was it a surprise? What was the planning process?

A: OMG the entire proposal was a COMPLETE SURPRISE!! We had been talking about getting engaged the past few years but I had no idea it was happening. It was a surprise proposal at the Cherry Blossoms Festival super early in the morning at 6 am. He told me it was a photoshoot for our 7 year dating anniversary and I teased him about how it sounded awfully like an engagement. He had me CONVINCED it was just a regular photoshoot. I asked him if I should get my nails done, “no”, I asked if he was proposing, he said “honey, not yet, it’s still a pandemic”, I even told him on the way out the door (on our way to DC) “don’t forget the ring”, he laughed and said “honey, I don’t want you to be disappointed – its just a photo shoot!”. I had gotten to the point where I realized it was just a photo shoot – nothing more. That morning, I never even thought twice about anything else and low and behold, our wonderful photographer had us stand back to back, she told us to take a few steps forward and then turn around and give each other a bear hug, and when I turned around…… he was down on one knee! I blacked out after that…. it’s all on camera though! :)

Without ever going ring shopping, Jordan designed a one-of-a-kind treasure. The stunning princess-cut diamond is flanked by round pink sapphires—hand-sourced by Jordan himself—set in platinum. The sapphires not only echo Julia’s love of pink but also symbolize the thoughtfulness behind every detail. “I get giddy every time I look at it,” she says. “He’s a thoughtful man.”

Q: We’re all about the bling… Tell us all about that ring!

A: Another surprise – we never really went ring shopping! I told him I loved princess cut and he custom designed it with a jeweler! Its a beautiful princess cut diamond surrounded on both sides by round Pink Sapphires (he sourced these himself through the jeweler!) on a platinum ring! And yes, PINK sapphires! He knows how much I love pink, so he went the extra mile and put it in my engagement ring! What is so special to me though, is that he designed it! I get giddy every time I look at it! He’s a thoughtful man!

Christine and Christopher’s love story began in Boston in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. Both far from home—Christine had relocated from Florida for a new job, and Christopher was in town for his residency training—the two connected through Hinge. Their first date never happened after Christine had to cancel, and their second was cut short when Christopher was called into work. But the third date went off without a hitch, and they never looked back. As Christine puts it, “Thank God for those dating apps!”

Two years later, Christopher orchestrated a proposal so clever that Christine never saw it coming. For months, he had been “looking” for a particular vintage bar cart he claimed to have seen in a magazine. When he “found” one listed on Craigslist in southern Massachusetts, Christine, the curious one, double-checked the ad and helped message the seller back and forth. On the day of the “pick-up,” they arrived early and decided to take a walk along the waterfront. At sunset, in front of a picturesque lighthouse, Christopher proposed—with a friend capturing the moment and Christine’s mother flying in to witness it. The bar cart? Completely fabricated, with even the Craigslist messages written by Christopher himself.

For their Florida wedding, Christine and Christopher chose The Treasury on the Plaza in St. Augustine for its historic architecture and upscale elegance. As a wedding planner herself, Christine pulled inspiration from past events she had designed, but ultimately gave her vendors full artistic freedom to keep the day fresh, bright, and fun. The Grand Ballroom’s ornate columns and architectural details set the stage for a romantic ceremony, complete with indoor cold sparkler fountains for their first kiss. Both mothers presented the rings—a heartfelt gesture that gave the women who raised them a moment in the spotlight.

Christine wore the Aretta gown by Eva Lendel, complete with a detachable overskirt for a dramatic ceremony look that easily transitioned for dancing. “I wanted something different—nothing too bridal—and it was the first dress I tried on,” she recalls. The gown’s sleeves and subtle shimmer won her heart instantly. Christopher opted for a custom-tailored tuxedo from Suit Supply in Boston, choosing a modern fit for a classic look. Adding a personal touch, his pocket square was made from the same fabric as Christine’s gown.

The couple’s celebration was full of thoughtful design moments. A lush floral arch framed the ceremony and was later repurposed as a sweetheart table backdrop, illuminated by a neon sign of their last name. Their family built the seating chart from scratch—cutting wood, applying wallpaper, and adding vintage lighting for a one-of-a-kind display.
