For a Hindi blogger, poor Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a common problem. An intelligent Hindi blogger can compose a useful and thoughtful piece of writing, and a wise reader can admire it. But only major media companies can cash it. Big media companies are in serious content-pushing business, they can hire an army of writers to produce tons of content. Hired SEO experts can get higher rank in search engines and higher authority in social media, regardless of cheap and low-quality production. And a home-based hobby-blogger, or a local-language enthusiast; looking to make some money online by sharing her knowledge and experience, can’t get her reward.

English bloggers make money but this doesn’t mean Hindi bloggers can’t, because if that’s the case many of the popular Hindi News sites won’t be running.

Aim of this article is to help you get traffic from search engines; not to help you make money online. However, if you can monetize the traffic…

I won’t discuss all the SEO tips here but only missing manuals in Hindi blogs.

(A) Choose WordPress to host your blog

WordPress is the best blogging CMS at this time, it gives you many features and options to make your blog SEO optimized. You can add tags and categories, create post summary, add featured image, show; related, recent and popular posts, add alternative post title, and choose permalink structure, and many other vantage. For any problem there is a robust community support, and Plugins give great advantage of adding new features.

(B) Use a premium theme

A premium theme has many SEO options to rewrite title and description of your posts, plugins and categories. It also has homepage SEO feature, all the themes may not have these features but I use Thesis theme and it has all the SEO options.

(C) Use All in one SEO Pack plugin

Thesis theme makes All-in-one SEO Pack plugin useless because it has all the SEO options but if you don’t have SEO optimized theme then you must need this plugin.

(D) Make use of English Language

This is the most valuable SEO tip for Hindi bloggers. One needs to add English in his Hindi blog, how you can add English?

(1) You should add post title in Hindi but the permalink in English.

(2) Optimized Categories and Tags, the same way we do with the post title.

(3) Post summary in English: You should add a post description in English.

(4) Blog description in English.
