Russell Simmons’ critique of Bill Cosby has struck a nerve with rappers featured on the actor/comedian’s forthcoming Hip-Hop album, Bill Cosby Presents the Cosnarati: State of Emergency.On Wednesday (Nov. 4), Simmons spoke out against Cosby’s criticism of Hip-Hop and the conduct of today’s youth in a blog about the entertainer.

“Bill Cosby is an example of someone from the older generation who has consistently blamed the poets and asked suffering community members to bare the full burden of guilt for the struggles that they endure,” the Hip-Hop mogul wrote on Globalgrind.com. Cosnarati, which features appearances from rappers Supa Nova Slom, Jace the Great, represents the comedy veteran’s efforts to bridge the generational gap.

“I respect Russell Simmons for all of his contributions to Hip-Hop culture but I hope that people do not get distracted and lost in his critiques of Cosby's past comments … Cosby is taking a whole other route by investing in politically charged Hip-Hop that does not condemn but instead inspires and uplifts during a time when there is next to none of that happening in the music industry,” rapper Supa Nova Slom stated.

K-Solo (born Kevin Madison) is an American rapper from New York who, along with EPMD, Redman, Das EFX, and Keith Murray, was part of the Hit Squad in 1990s.

His two biggest hits were "Your Mom's in My Business" and "Spellbound." K- Solo later accused DMX of stealing this style from him when the two were serving jail time together.

In the mid-90s he signed with Death Row Records after meeting with them in a Pittsburgh show and recorded a still unreleased album. The only track released was a bootleg of Kurupt and him freestyling.

In 2003 he toured the world with PMD and DJ Honda and vowed never again citing PMD "flipping over nearly everything but the his ticket and record sales."

In 2004 he was working on a new album for his Waste Management Records tentatively titled "There Will Be Hell to Pay" which has yet to be released.

I remember when this whole thing surfaced about DMX stealing K-Solo style. All I can say is there's a lot of people that this happens too. Including myself. This happens however what's meant for you no man can stop or take away. So just keep your head up and keep pushing on.If this is true then this shows that nothing has stopped K-Solo and nothing shall stop you.

Army Confirms 7 Killed And 20 Wounded In Dual Attacks At Fort Hood In Texas

What the hell is going on...The Army has confirmed 7 dead, 20 wounded in shootings at Fort Hood, Texas. Fort Hood spokeswoman says: 1 shooter in custody, at least 2 gunmen believed involved in attack. The U.S. Army has closed its massive Army base at Fort Hood, Texas, amid reports that several people have been shot and killed at the post.

An Army spokesman at the Pentagon says the shootings began about 1:30 p.m. Thursday at a personnel and medical processing center at Fort Hood.

The spokesman, Lieutenant Colonel Nathan Banks, says two shooters were apparently involved. There is no word yet on who they were, nor on identities of the dead.

Banks says the second incident took place at a theater on the sprawling base.

He says it is too soon to tell whether there is any link to battle stress or repeated deployments. The Army is suffering a record high suicide rate and other signs of stress from fighting two wars.

A spokeswoman for the City of Killeen, where the base is located, tells USA TODAY the Army is "asking for EMTs because it's a mass casualty event."

"They are having issues getting on and off post because they've locked it down," said spokeswoman Hilary Shine. "Right now there are a lot of questions and confusion."

Fort Hood is set up like its own city with its own fire, police and medical facility, Shine says. They have not asked for Killeen Police to assist, but the police are on call if needed, she said.

The Web site of the base in central Texas has posted an alert that says, "Effective immediately Fort Hood is closed." The Web site said that units at the base have been ordered to account for all personnel.

The site says, "This is not a Drill. It is an Emergency Situation."

President Barack Obama has been briefed about reports of a shooting at Fort Hood, Texas.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs said the president is being kept updated as details about the shooting emerge.

Gibbs said he told Obama about TV news reports that seven people were dead at the Texas military location and others were injured. Gibbs said he informed Obama based on broadcast reports and the president is being kept up to date through the White House Situation Room.

Several television stations in Texas say several people were both killed and wounded in the shooting. Officials at the base and in the nearby town of Killeen, Texas, have not confirmed those accounts.

Fort Hood is located halfway between Austin and Waco.

recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University , it was found that
when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon
Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast,
they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically
73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all
the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started
walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass
of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16
ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the
level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours.
As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic
cholesterol is cured. According to information received in the said Journal,
pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon
lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This
process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach
ulcers from the root.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if
Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and

of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese
person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to

Former 49ers Football Player Dana Stubblefield's Fiance Puts Out Restraining Order!

Dana Stubblefield is already on probation for lying in the BALCO incident, now his ex-fiancée has hit him with some new charges that could lock his ass up. Stubblefield was a defensive star for the 49ers. After helping the team win a Super Bowl and becoming the NFL’s defensive player of the year, he scored a six-year $36 million contract with the Washington Redskins, and landed a role in a Hollywood film opposite Ben Affleck.

“I’m very scared of this guy,” said Stubblefield’s former fiancée Melanie Wade…

“That’s my main reason for coming to you guys and writing that letter.” Twenty-six-year-old Wade contacted the I-Team because she is worried the authorities are not doing enough to protect her from Stubblefield. After a tumultuous three years together, Wade broke up with him last month, four days before their wedding. She says she tried to leave several times.

“He would lock me in and not let me leave the house, and tell me threats, like ‘I’m not done with you ’til you’re six feet under,’ like ‘I’m the only man you’re going to be with,’” she said. Wade says the relationship began to unravel after Stubblefield admitted lying about his steroid use to federal investigators in the BALCO case. Stubblefield received a reduced sentence of two years probation and a $5,000 fine because he cooperated with investigators, “providing the names of players, trainers, and others associated with the NFL who may be involved in on-going activities with illegal drugs in professional football.”

It also was apparently hard for Stubblefield when Wade left him for good. In her application for a restraining order that was approved by a Santa Clara County family court judge in August, Wade says Stubblefield would call 50 times a day or more, sometimes leaving long, rambling messages.

“He was running me off the road, it was almost like a horror movie,” she said. Wade left her work as a personal trainer at about 11 p.m. one night last year, and Stubblefield was waiting for her. “I was on my bicycle and I told him to leave, leave me alone, and he was really irate, he wasn’t leaving, so he followed me home,” she said. She turned down a darkened road trying to escape, but Stubblefield followed in his jacked-up Chevy Suburban.

“And he bumped me off my bike and I went forward and I got cut up and bruises and got back on my bike and continued to go home,” she recalled. When she finally got back to her apartment, Wade says Stubblefield was already there. “And so I got this big rock and threw it at the truck and I ran into my apartment,” she said. “And he just waited out there like a shark in the water.”

“And then there was a big pounding on the door,” said Melanie Wade’s mother, Kellie Wade, who told San Jose police she personally witnessed the threats when Stubblefield came looking for her daughter one night three months ago. “And I told him she wasn’t there, and he said he has someone that’s going to go after Melanie and for Melanie to watch her back.”

“All of my accounts, every single one, he went online and he logged in like it’s me and he created passwords,” she said. “So I couldn’t even get into my accounts online.” “If you’re changing someone else’s mailing address to come to your house, and they haven’t approved it and that’s not their mailing address, then you’re submitting a false document
to postal officials,” said ABC7 legal analyst Dean Johnson. “It’s potentially a federal crime.”

The I-Team has confirmed that U.S. Postal Service investigators are looking into Wade’s complaint. Wade remains afraid for herself, but also for the students Stubblefield comes in contact with at Valley Christian High School, both male and female. “And I feel like those kids are at risk because they spend so much time with this animal,” she said. “I really feel like he’s an animal. I mean he just, he loses it. He has no sense of right and wrong. He rages, he sees red.”

I got a throwback classic from the legendary Beatnuts. The Beatnuts are a hip hop group and production team Queens, New York City. Its current members are JuJu and Psycho Les. Former member of the group is Kool Fashion he left the group to become a devout Muslim and solo artist under the alias Al' Tariq. He left The Beatnuts on good terms and collaborated with his former group on future albums. The video that I have from The Beatnuts is from the groups full-length 1994 debut album "Street Level". A notable hit single from the album is the song "Props Over Here". This video is Fire I honestly think the group was better when Kool Fashion/Al' Tariq was with them.

On today November 4 2009, it has been one full year since The United States elected an African American as president. In November of 2008 President Obama was giving a televised speech challenging men to get involved in their communities. The men had heard the message before, but this time they could relate to the messenger. Obama had shared their struggles -- raised by a single mom, never really knowing his father -- but had never used his struggles as an excuse.

As the nation approaches the first anniversary of Obama's election, the glow of Obama's ascendancy may be fading. But it's still burning bright for some black men. Inspired by Obama, a growing number of black men across the nation have decided to become mentors and pledged to become better fathers, community leaders say.

It could be easy to overstate Obama's impact on black men. Some say they see no change in the conduct of African American males since Obama was elected. And few would say that a black man sitting in the Oval Office is going to wipe out the challenges black men have faced for generations.

I feel President Obama has inspired the African American youth. When many Black people see President Obama in office it makes them feel that eventually they might be able to become President of the United States, and hopefully better their lives. Its because of President Obama I decided to go back to college and obtain a Master's degree in Public Administration.

Afrika Bambaataa is an American DJ from the South Bronx, who was instrumental in the early development of hip hop throughout the 1980s.Afrika Bambaataa is one of the three originators of break-beat deejaying, and is respectfully known as the "Grandfather" and "Godfather" and The Amen Ra of Universal Hip Hop Culture as well as The Father of The Electro Funk Sound. Through his co-opting of the street gang the Black Spades into the music and culture-oriented Universal Zulu Nation, he is responsible for spreading hip hop culture throughout the world.On September 27, 2007, he was nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Afrika Bambaataa grew up in one of the 15-story towers of the Bronx River Projects, with an activist mother and uncle.As a child, he was exposed to the black liberation movements of the era, and witnessed debates between his mother and uncle regarding the conflicting ideologies of the movements.Most of all he was exposed to his mother's record collection.Due to the official policy of neglect in regards to the Bronx in the 1970's, most people joined gangs for safety reasons.

The gangs became the law in the absence of law, clearing their turf of drug dealers, assisting with community health programs and both fighting and partying to keep members and turf.[1] Bambaataa was a founding member of the Bronx River Projects-area street gang The Savage Seven. Due to the explosive growth of the gang, it later became known as the Black Spades, and Bambaataa quickly rose to the position of warlord.

After Bambaataa won an essay contest that earned him a trip to Africa, his worldview shifted. He had seen the movie "Shaka Zulu" and had been impressed with the solidarity exhibited by the Zulu in that film. During his trip to Africa, the communities he visited inspired him to stop the violence and create a community in his own neighborhood.[1] He changed his name to Afrika Bambaataa Aasim, adopting the name of the Zulu chief Bhambatha, who led an armed rebellion against unfair economic practices in early 20th century South Africa that can be seen as a precursor to the anti-apartheid movement. He told people that his name was Zulu for "affectionate leader".A young Afrika Bambaataa began to think about how he could turn his turf-building skills to peacemaking. He formed the "Bronx River Organization" as an alternative to the Black Spades.

I enjoyed researching this one. I love Planet Rock and his music, but mostly I enjoyed Africa Bambaataa's story. Like just because you come from the hood or ghetto doesn't mean you have to stay there.Things were needed for the current situation, but with love and growth anyone can change there perspective on life. It's never to late, but you have to be willing to experience something new and open your mind to things you may not know about. Most importantly bring back that knowledge and start to make a difference. You just never know who's life you can change for the better. AFRICA BAMBATHA proves this.

Rihanna's First Publicized Interview since Her Domestic Dispute

Rihanna sits down with Diane Sawyer in her first publicized interview since her domestic dispute with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown last February. I think the spin Rihanna put on the situation is a good look because Domestic abuse happens all too often and the women going through it need to know that abuse has no preference...it can happen to anyone at any given time.

"He was definitely my first big love," she told Sawyer. The incident resulted in the couple's seemingly fairytale relationship being shattered and Brown being sentenced to community labor, five years of probation and one year of domestic-violence counseling. "...This happened to me...it can happen to anyone,"

She also touched on her domestic dispute in an interview with Glamour Magazine.

"Domestic violence is a big secret," she revealed. "No kid goes around and lets people know their parents fight. Teenage girls can't tell their parents that their boyfriend beat them up. You don't dare let your neighbor know that you fight. It's one of the things we [women] will hide, because it's embarrassing. My story was broadcast all over the world for people to see, and they have followed every step of my recovery. The positive thing that has come out of my situation is that people can learn from that. I want to give as much insight as I can to young women, because I feel like I represent a voice that really isn't heard. Now I can help speak for those women."
