iOmega have launched the eGo Mac Edition portable usb hard drive, another portable storage solution for mobiler.

The portable data storage device feature multiple interface connections, aluminum construction, shock protection and software bundles.

iOmega eGo’s FireWire 800 could connect the drive using impressive speed. On an empty drive, testing results showed sustained write speeds of 72MB/s and write speeds of 75.3MB/s. Going that fast, users can transfer an entire GB of data in less than 15 seconds. USB 2.0 yielded write and read speeds of 37.4MB/s and 37.9MB/s, respectively.

Consequently, what is the use of 75.3MB/s if the USB 2.0’s writing speed only could achieve 37.9MB/s?

The iOmega eGo’s portable usb hard drive said to arrives with pre-formatted HFS+ for Mac systems, even though users could manually reformat the drives to suit Windows platforms.

Considering the added shock protection, the price-per-gigabyte, speedy triple interface, attractive form factor, three-years warranty and included software separate the eGo series from many of the cheaper drives. This portable data storage device is definitely not the most affordable one in the market.

Prices:
250GB (white) = USD100.-
320GB (blue) = USD110.-
500GB (red) = USD150.-

Alphabet is another good thing to play around with. The following gadgets are the stack-able alphabet gadgets. You could play around with typography and lettering.

The Radio is a radio that taken the alphabet says Radio. Woof for Woofer, remote for Remote, and so forth.

I’m just what I am! The electronic devices called “Used as Read” now allow us to figure out each of them, because these devices are made in the same shapes of the English words that they are named.

For example, the radio spells out its name “radio”, the remote controllers spell out the word “remote”, “light” stands for lamps, and “music” shows us music players, etc.

If you live in US, you could rest assured that the tap water is safe to drink. However, in other countries, especially places with low sense of sanitary, tap water is something you need to think twice before pouring it into your mouth.

Aqualris Portable Water Purifier is a different filter. It’s actually designed to meet the tropical regions water filter need. It should be something portable for your travel convenience. The design also looks simply gorgeous, a bit similar to a Cinderella’s crystal shoe.

Most households now have extra filtering thanks to Brita and other measures. Some houses even have their own underground wells. We know that filtered water tastes great, but there is one thing that most of us are forgetting. These filter pitchers don’t really look that great. Usually, you take them out, serve yourself or others, and just put them right.

The design is fresh and attractive, and we’ve never seen a filter system like this before. Aqualris has a removable filter. The water travels under a layer of converter crystals, which are activated by UVC rays. We don’t know how well this system would work, but Talia Radford sure designed a beautiful product. Hopefully, it will be coming out soon.
