Today we have a new version for you. There are only bug fixes in it. We fixed almost every error you have reported. It is a free update for all users of 2.8.7 version, so if application asks for a new key, contact us to get it.

Easy Sync 2.8.7

Hello everyone!

We have a new version of Easy Sync for you. It's 2.8.7. While seasons are changing we keep working around our products and trying to bring you new features, improvements and fix all bugs you are facing with.

Well, this in new version you can do the following things.

First of all, you are now able to exclude a list of sub folders from the folder you are syncing. You may need to sync your SD card except for 2 folders, so just put them on this list and Easy Sync will skip them while working with your files.
Some users were reporting the deletion of a tasklist, and asked for an ability to export and import it. We've made it. You now can backup your tasks and restore them whenever you need.

The most interesting thing about file processing that was behind the scene is how Easy Sync behaved itself when found two files with similar names. It rewrote a file with an older date with a file with a newer date of latest changes made. That was a pre-defined rule. Now you a re free to change that as you wish. Easy Sync will ask you for the first time, then you can define the action in the settings.

And, of course, we fixed a number of bugs found in the previous version. See development blog for details.

We have prepared a new version of Easy Sync. A lot of work have been done since the previous release. This version is 2.8.5.

It is all about improvements and bug fixes. We paid attention to make processing of files safer, added a confirmation request before deletion of files and some other improvements for the situations when you disconnect device while your tasks were running. Several elements were changed in the interface, hope you will find them convenient.

Easy Sync 2.8.4 has been just released

Oh, boy! We were really doing our best during past two weeks to bring you the new taste of mobility with Easy Sync - our solution to sync, transfer and copy any files and folders between your Windows Mobile devices and your computer.

We have prepared new exciting functionality, improved lots of stuff and fixed almost each bug you've reported. Here is what's new in this release:

New: Online, bi-directional* synchronization in real time
Many of you have asked for online sync - we've made it for you. Forget about syncing, just work with your docs and files, Easy Sync will do the rest. This feature means immediate reflection of changes made to files and folders. E.g. if you delete a file on your computer, it will be deleted on your device, etc.
* Online monitoring is enabled on the computer side, yet.

Fixed: Now you can sync, transfer and copy to or from network paths
It was impossible to select folders on the network to sync files (so called UNC paths beginning with "\\"). We've fixed that issue and now you are free to use this feature.

Improvements:
- New algorithm for better comparing folders;
- Profile Manager button now on toolbar, so you could switch faster, if you need;
- File with profiles is now stored in "Application Data" directory to meet security etiquette;
- Bug report now contains 5 last lines from the log to better inform us about the reason of the issue;

Other fixes:
- Refreshing of task status is made after each comparison of folders;
- Small bugs were found in comparing file and folder functions;
- Required update of product registration mechanism;
- Sometimes default device profile was loaded (connection was broken), so you could not see your tasks;
- All tasks were automatically launched at each device connection;

Today we've made another step forward. We've just released new Easy Sync 2.8.2 - software solution to sync, transfer and backup any files and folders between your desktop (laptop) computer and your Windows Mobile devices (Pocket PCs and Smartphones).

Here is an overview of tasks that kept us busy, while improving and expanding the functionality of our product:

- New: Flexible scheduling of sync tasks
Feel free to schedule syncing, transferring and creating backups of your files on any time and date you need. We've added very flexible schedule for launching of each task.

- New: Feedback dialog added to enable you to send us suggestions and thoughts.
We like and always waiting for your suggestions, notes and ideas on how to make Easy Sync better. With a new dialog you're able to send us your thoughts in just two clicks. No email client or other soft is required.

- Improved: Refreshed and reorganized task adding wizard with tabs
- Improved: Registration became easier - just submit key (no name is required)
- Improved: Ten seconds delay before launching of task after connect (to avoid conflicts with ActiveSync).
- Improved: About dialog organized into tabs with Information about product, Version history and Registration form.
- Improved: Buy and register buttons now "closer" to the end user

More flexible syncing with Easy Sync 2.8

New version of file synchronization manager for you Windows Mobile devices has been just released. We were busy making syncing more convenient while working with the version 2.8.

You'll find the feature that allows to check any tasks from the list and run them. Quick access to run a specific task was also added to the context tray menu - and now syncing is in just two clicks away. We also paid attention to improving the log. If something went wrong during processing of your tasks - it was quite uneasy to find the reason in the big application log. That's why we've divided it into separate logs for each task. And it became easier to trace files and folders operations made and to locate errors. We thought it would be nice to have a bit more clear picture in mind of what was processed or not and when. So we've added a status for each task. After the task is processed its status became "processed" and also contains the date and time when operation was completed. Now, you won't miss anything.

The very silly yet important bug was found. In previous versions you could not copy a file to your storage card if its size was bigger than free main memory available on your device. It means if you were going to copy a 700Mb movie to a storage card and your device's main memory which is usually is not bigger than 100 Mb - your movie was reported as error and was not processed. Now that issue is fixed, and you are able to sync big files to storage card. Please upgrade your current version if you faced with this issue.
