Whooo Hooo! I love it. The reason that I needed it was not only because my old desktop was a dinosaur but as you all know, we have been transitioning my office into the new baby room. In turn, I need to be mobile. My space will be no more. Sob. Anyways, it has been a tedious job to clean everything up. It is not like I have a new space to dump all the stuff. Now it is down to the computer. I have so many folders of crap, it is ridiculous. Today, I am trying to delete. During this fun process, I have been coming across some great stuff.  Pictures mostly.  I figure I should share a few.  Todays picture is of me and Craig the day after the night he asked me to marry him.

We were (and still are mind you) so happy.  I have to say, we were definitely on cloud nine.  It was August 28, 2004 and we were going to a wedding.  All dressed up with my sparkly ring.  Now, it is two kids later and I can’t believe how all this time has gone by.  We were married on July 17, 2005.  What an awesome day that was!

I like this picture because it shows the Mariachis that came out to play after Craig stepped on the glass.  They continued to play throughout the cocktail hour.  It was very special.

She made it before he was born so that is why she chose pink and blue as the colors. There is a matching sweater which is really darling but I haven’t been able to get that shot yet. Thanks Mom!

We had a super hard time getting the makeup on but after a lot of crying and screaming, he finally broke down. It wore off constantly because he would rub his face up against us but we brought the makeup with us to fix. It was pretty funny. The poor kid wore himself out. It was a successful day to say the least. His brother wore a little pumpkin hat and booties (bought by his Titi) and slept through the whole thing.

The birth:  if I don’t mention the story now…..nobody will care anymore so here it is (the short short version):

My water broke at 3:05pm

Ben woke up at 3:06pm and said what is the matter Mommy?

Craig came home at 3:10pm

Ben greeted him at the door saying Mommy’s water broke.  He was like WHAT?

We called the Dr. who said make your way into the hospital (1 hour away).  I was feeling nothing at that time (3:15pm)

After I hung up – instantly my contractions started and they were 4min apart.  I was feeling lots now.  I managed to get into the car by 4:00pm

Arrived at Mom’s to drop off Ben and stuff at 4:30pm (contractions 2 minutes apart- agony).  Did a driveby.

Got on the highway and felt a need to push – HOLY SHIT!  How can I have this baby in the car!

Somehow, someway, Craig got us to the hospital even though I said numerous times to pull over. (thank God he didn’t)

Emergency room guy raced me into the hospital into some triage room because I was wailing, The baby is coming out!

I was on the table not 10 minutes…pushed three times and there popped out David.

Mind you, I am sparing you all the gory details.  Those close to me have gotten the phone call with those.

Ultimately, I had my natural birth, it lasted two hours.  David was born at 5:10pm.  I was happy as a clam and still am!
