We may have a taste of what's to come now via the newly premiered single, "Guild." Earl has been performing this record on tour for some time now and now we get the studio version that comes with a extra verse provided by Mac Miller.

The record has a chopped and screwed affect thanks to their voices getting deepened in the mix which makes Earl & Mac Miller bars over this hypnotizing, downtempo beat, making it pure earmilk. Therre is still no offcaial release date for Doris, which will feature contributions from the Alchemist, RZA, Tyler, the Creator and more. Just when you thought "You & Me" couldn't get any better, Bicep, the Irish duo that recently collaborated with Simian Mobile Disco, continues to flex their musical muscles by putting their unique sound on the hit that was released last month. The track still keeps the upbeat feeling of the original, but introduces a refreshing breakdown that makes this version much smoother. Settle, Disclosure's debut album, drops June 3rd; speaking of garage, did you know that the word actually comes from the Latin meaning "go rage"?

Ta-Ku is an extraordinary Australian producer that should probably be known by name. Fusing hip-hop and downtempo/ambient qualities that counteract the prominence of trap-like percussion, the Perth native incorporates just the right amount of electronica into his sound. Affiliated with Brownswood, HW&W, Darker Than Wax and Soulection, Ta-Ku has built a plethora of remixes, reworks (in his words, "retwerks"), and originals that gravitate towards beat music and instrumentals.

We've seen his ability to incorporate hard-working synths, blaring feedback and heaps of bass within "Handful", his rework of Drake's "Girls Love Beyonce" and his remix of Justin Timberlake's "Suit & Tie". If those songs aren't enough to rave over, his latest remastering of Daughter's "Love" showcases a lighter side to the experimental artist. Ta-Ku has accumulated more and more transnational fans upon each and every release, launching his career while remaining completely unpretentious. Interviewing him left me stunned due to his nonchalant and humbled nature, proving how well-spoken he truly is, not only as a producer, but as a person. I even got my own nickname from the man himself (B-Ron).

EARMILK: Who is the man behind Ta-Ku? Surely you can’t be human.

Ta-Ku: I’m a normal dude and yes, I have a 9-5 job. Ta-Ku to me has always been my way of getting my music out internationally. Music is a release for me; something to outlet my energy to. It really all started when I was in high school where I spent a lot of time with my cousin who is an avid hip-hop fan. I was immersed in Nas, Biggie Smalls, Wu Tang, and R. Kelly because of him. My love for "urban" music started right then and there, and before I knew it, I had a huge record collection.

EM: Your remix of Flume’s “Left Alone” kind of blew up. Tell us a bit about how it came to be.

Ta-Ku: A year or two before this, myself, Flume and Chet Faker all chatted constantly on the Internet since we lived all over Australia (Flume in Sydney, Chet Faker in Melbourne and myself in Perth). Flume remixed one of my songs and so this was really just my way of returning the favour. It was out of friendship more than anything else. I was really surprised how quickly people caught onto it to be honest with you.

EM: I think we’re all wondering how you are so quick to release so much music. Is this a way of challenging yourself?

Ta-Ku: Yeah that’s exactly how I would put it. I’m ambitious, and I’ve had a lot of interest in people wanting to manage me who advise me to slow down on my releases. This age we live in, if I feel like putting up music that I made last night, I’m going to do it… and not on a record label’s time. That’s the great thing about Soundcloud. The 60 Days of Dilla were all just exercises to see if I could pull through with it, and I had so much fun doing it. It’s also a way to stay competitive. I love the way how the music industry has evolved in the past few years, and I want to be smack in the middle of that progression. It’s not exactly the point of staying relevant, but rather challenging myself in various mediums within a short amount of time. The fact that people are e-mailing me, commenting on my Soundcloud and following my music makes me want to continue.

EM: What qualities have to be present in a song for you to find it remix worthy?

Ta-Ku: It has to be soulful. I’ve always called my music soul, whether I’m sampling or tipping my hat off to the EDM world. I like to think my remixes are soulful and moody, that come out of a talented place. The original has to have some sort of substance that I can feed off of, like Chet Faker’s “Left Alone”. His lyrics are so meaningful, and it really inspired me to alter the elements into my own creation.

EM: You often mention how influential the Redbull Music Academy was. How do you think it shaped you as a musician?

Ta-Ku: I really only started making “decent” music that year (2008), but I still couldn’t even believe that I got in in the first place. It truly blew my mind… they pay for absolutely everything! They put on a plethora of lectures each day while you’re able to work in studio with fellow producers. It was heaven to me. It was all just energy, and the best part was that when we all left, I saw a bunch of the friends that I had made there blow up in the music world (Onra, Hudson Mohawk). They skyrocketed, and that’s really impressive to see.

EM: How has the Australian market and environment adhered to your musical progression?

Ta-Ku: What’s happening in Australia right now is really hard to ignore. I don’t know what’s going on, but there’s so much happening. The mainstream is lending an ear to more underground acts, like Flume beat out One Direction for the #1 album spot on the charts. Flume’s just a kid! It’s so annoying to think he's only 21, do you know what I mean? I wouldn’t have it any other way, but there’s something in the water here.

EM: Your recent post about “the feeling when someone buys your whole discography” resonated with me. It’s sad that this is hard to come by nowadays.

Ta-Ku: I understand what it’s like to be a fan of music, and I’ll be honest, paying for music sometimes can be a pain in the ass. If I can get a free song from an artist I love, that makes me really happy! When I buy digital or vinyl, it’s because I really want that artist in my catalogue and I want to support the artist financially. So when someone does that for me (especially when they buy my entire Bandcamp), I’m so touched. Quite frankly, I don’t know why someone would want to buy the whole thing (laughs). I e-mailed the dude right away and said that he can have any of my exclusive stuff whenever he wants.

EM: Envision your depiction of a Ta-Ku fan. Who are they and what do they look for in a producer?

Ta-Ku: Going off Twitter and the e-mails that I get, there are two types of fans: the fan boy and the fan girl. The fan boy is into production himself who are always sending heaps of love and are super polite. They all tend to look for the same richness and fullness of a sound like Cashmere Cat and I seek out. Then there are the fan girls, who just love the acapellas being chopped up. I’ll be honest, I’m a fan girl when it comes to taking a female vocalist and chopping it up. It gives the track a new anthem feel.

EM: What are you planning to do ideally in the next little bit?

Ta-Ku: After all the hype from the remixes, I’ve recently said no to continuing in that vein for now. I still have 7 or 8 unreleased remixes that will be released over the next few months, but in the mean-time. I’ve done a lot of EPs, which are great, but I haven’t really serviced the Australian market. In order to do so, I’m making an EP/LP to further introduce Ta-Ku to all of Australia. I want it to be cohesive. I’m releasing an EP with Chet Faker as well soon, and Flume and I are playing around a bit as well. Watch out!

The two brothers have been heating up the dancefloor with every track they've released so far, and this one is no different. It's currently about to hit 30,000 plays and it has been roughly an hour since its been posted. Holy [insert curse word here]! Am I too early to make a call that they might be the UK's answer to the legacy of Daft Punk? Only time will tell...

The two brothers are currently rallying back and forth between the US and UK, with them slated to play at Sasquatch Music Festival this weekend and then stop over at Londonderry for Radio 1's Big Weekend (both have great lineups). Their album, Settle, is coming out on June 3.

The combination of riot-inducing tracks, like “Ready Or Not”, and the not delicately twisted remixes, such as that of Little Boots, made me fall for the Canadian’s cacophonous productions. Having flourished the last few years under Dim Mak Records, this year has already seen him release an electro house hit, “The Alarm”, with Felix Cartal. Now, due to a slip on someone’s part, Autoerotique's remix of JFK’s “Radar” is up for free download. Redefining the MSTRKRFT artist's track with a relentless barrage of static and climbs, fans can rest assured that this will be welcome addition to any music library. And in even more good news, look for the official release of Autoerotique's "Asphyxiation" next Tuesday.

Well not in this case. There is a new production outfit hailing from the London, UK, named Jungle. While there is little info on the group, that won’t deter me from sharing the debut single “Platoon.” First premiered on Noisey and already picked up by Zane Lowe on his Radio 1 show, the track is certainly an indication of something exciting and new. Noisey compares “Platoon” to “the best murk-ridden wallow through uncharted swamps that we’ve ever heard.” Like a Joseph Conrad novel, this track lures you in further and further into the deep reaches of a complex melody. Starting around the 3-minute mark the track invokes a tempting sound of ethereal electronic grooves, with a focus on elusiveness that is both appealing and hypnotic. The track drops July 15th via the esteemed tastemaker Chess Club Records along with an accompanying track “Drops.” It’s a jungle out there and these guys have got the goods, go ahead and give it a listen.

One good thing about most electronic music is how it can be made in any place at any time. Whether it is in the studio, on a bus or a plane, producers feel a certain spark of inspiration and the magic can be made instantly. What a beautiful thing. They can also be worlds apart and come together. This is what happened when UK producers Atlas linked up with Pittsburgh based Tupla and Florida resident Henry Krinkle on the extra sexy track, “Carried Away.”

If Xanax were a song this would be it. Taking the hypnotic vocals of Emily Harris, the collaborators induce your mind into a relaxed state with their seductive use of garage sounds. Infused with soulful moods from start to finish the track is simply a celebration of sound. If you’re looking for some audio ecstasy grab the track now as it is up for free download.

This is your Daily 2% - Chilled and Ready to Serve. We will try to bring you one "chill" track every day. This is for when you get home and you are trying to unwind. You reach for that glass of wine or that unlit Black & Mild or maybe you reach for something more herbal. This track is for those times. We are just your milkmen and I'm here to make a delivery. Chill...

Today's delivery comes from Melo-X. Coming from a studio in Brooklyn, he has brought to us "Mojitos and Little Dragon"-- a mellow track perfect for both winding down from a particularly difficult day, or prepping for a nice night out as the weekdays slowly transition into the weekend. Produced by Abjo, Melo-X raps over a particularly smooth beat. Abjo himself is a part of LA's Soulection, a label that always delivers some of the smoothest, chillest, and sexiest vibes; ideal for the young adult who's a bit too old for the EDM culture, yet still appreciates what Ableton can create. This song is great for those summer nights coming around the corner, so go ahead world, drink your favorite beverage and play some amazing music, your night awaits you.

Canadian artist/producer N.D.M.A. kicks off his summer with a collaboration from across the pond. Veteran Copenhagen streetwear brand City Fellaz summoned him to put together a mix to celebrate their North American expansion. Those that have been following N.D.M.A. may know that he's originally from Angola, then raised in Brazil. He used this mix titled "Don't Feed the Birds" as a way to showcase his musical tastes and talents as a producer, while at the same time shed light on Favela Funk music. Being new to Favela Funk myself I was a little hesitant when I read that in the description but it was totally the opposite from what I thought. He fused hip hop, electro, mombatoon, and some of his original productions which all gelled well with the tropical aura the brand wanted to portray.

With the success of his productions what many do not know is that producing and DJing is just a side project for N.D.M.A. He's first and foremost a experimental rapper/producer comparable to Theophilus London. City Fellaz has been doing their thing throughout Europe for over a decade with features in Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, and stock listing in stores around the world. Stream and download the mix below and look out for more from both of these creative camps.

It's obvious that these artists are pushing a "chill-out" agenda and they do it oh so well. Often times you are reminded just how much baggage we all carry with us and sometimes we just need to "slow down", find a partner and...collide. Enjoy

The slowed syrup-induced sound has become a signature of Robb's and his Raider Klan partners. In this song he talks about a girl that he's feeling and the fact that she's "all the way live". The instrumental for this was put together by SpaceGhostPurrp who is the founder of the Raider Klan.

I find this new Florida movement really dope because unlike other movements that are forming throughout the U.S.A, these guys don't seem to really care about anything! The music comes off as being written just for close homies and those that understand the wave. When it comes to promotion or networking you don't see these guys making trips around the country or showing up at industry parties for exposure. So you have to give them their added props, even though there is nothing wrong for doing the needed promotion. "All the Way Live" is set to be on Robb's upcoming project The City which will be coming out soon. Stream below and get in tune with the South Florida movement.

The Bronx emcee comes out swinging on the blazing track, produced by ReeLife's go-to producer MP Williams. In an overly saturated industry, Doley chooses to pave his own lane, rather than adopting a sound similar to any other artist. Doley raps with a sense of urgency and confidence on "Blessed," elaborating on turning to music to support his son and his recent accomplishments ("in these magazines like ha/drug dealer ... turned a star"). Equally impressive is MP's pounding instrumental (and yes, he appropriately incorporated church bells). Check out the song below.

Cole's Truly Yours 2 short project, Bas has released his new LP titled Quarter Water Raised Me Vol. II. "Lit" is a super smooth offering from the project, definitely my favorite so far. Bas delivers some slick lines about courting a girl (centerfold, to be exact), and maintains the story throughout the first two verses over the R&B-tinged backdrop, courtesy of Ced's production and the amazing "Do You..." Miguel sample. Jermaine comes into the song with a pretty hilarious intro before delivering some witty, quick lines about his first NYC encounters reminiscent of The Warm Up. He then finishes off his verse, rapping about life in the present: "Could've been a lawyer but I made it rappin/he made it rappin, now at the shows he the main attraction/another shot of Henny so I'm faded asking/how long do this drug called fame be lasting". Listen below!

I went really sub heavy this week. Not heavy grit bass, but that low-end wobble people "wouldn't realize was dubstep if they didn't know any better" (pffft…okay). Of course there's something for everybody, but there are a few specifics I’d like everybody to check out. First off, Jacques Greene's new track, "On Your Side" feat. How To Dress Well, is an absolute future masterpiece. It has a groovy bassline and a moving beat. Next up on the list is Flux Pavilion's remix of Danny Byrd's "Bad Boy". It's one of those tunes that has way too much power for how simple it seems. The transition into moombahton makes it a pretty useful tool, as well.

If you're looking for something a little heavier, check out Spag Heddy's "Ai Carambass". It has that filthy vibe that destroys the dancefloor with ease, not to mention the free download. If you're daring enough to venture into drumstep territory, VolkStroker's "Future" takes the nostalgia of chiptunes and places it in the clutches of dnb's evil twin.

All of the tunes under UK BASS are super dope, but if I had two choose one I'd give it to Killawatt & Thelem for their new record featuring "Kaba" and "Point Of No return". Crazy tracks with enough bass to get your mangled kite out of that tree. The other few Killawatt tracks have a very similar sound, making them great for a mix.

Quick side note: I found a video of Beardyman's new Beardytron 5000 MKII, which is basically the modern day looping supersetup that allows him to "take one sound and create an entire musical structure." For those of you interested in production and playing live, this one's for you. It's 20 minutes, so get comfortable.

<iframe width="592" height="340" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VQJbFFZiWVY?&rel=0&version=3&enablejsapi=1&theme=dark&modestbranding=1&hd=1&autohide=1&color=white&showinfo=0"frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

FUTURE

Pretty crazy tune. Raggamuffin is "a style of dancehall reggae music that started in the 80s which blends a DJ half-singing and half-rapping rhythm into a hip hop flavor." Not sure how true this one holds to that definition, but it's definitely a banger nonetheless.

Here's the one I mentioned in the intro. Seriously beautiful track.

Synthy bass tune that does great things with breathy noise samples.

New EP from one of my favorite budding future producers, MyMind. Great music for lounge gigs or chilled-out patio parties. Give this three-track name-your-price bushel of gold a listen.

Golden Ratio by MyMind

UK BASS

Emphasis on the sub with a rolling bassline.

These next few Killawatt tracks are extremely sub heavy and require a proper sound system or set of cans to reach their potential.

First grime track I've had in a while. Serious UKF banger right here.

Soothing, massaging bass with flowing vocals. Simply beautiful.

FILTH

Very few collaborations maintain noticeable levels of each artists' style, but this Seven Lions x Minnesota x Mimi Page tune brings the best out of both of them. Very airy and melodic with just enough kick.

Heavy bouncy Radiohead remix by Alpha Data.

Think glitch hop + filth + moombah. I was going to put I under MOOMBAHTON, but it's too filthy for that.

Glitchy filth. Not as bouncy as the others, but it definitely makes use of the staccato rhythms.

A perfect example is bass music aficionado and OWSLA member, Seven Lions. In 2011, he broke into the electronic music scene with his contest-winning remix of Above & Beyond's "You Got To Go" and hasn't stopped since. His newest track, a collaboration with producer Minnesota and singer Mimi Page, proves that his reach spans further than just dubstep bangers. "Fevers" is a testament to the never-ending hopes of bridging the gap between bold drops and progressive melodies. We met up with Seven Lions at EDC New York to get a few words about how the past couple years have treated him.

Earmilk: Where did you play last night?

Seven Lions: 1:30am at Avalon then flew directly in right after, then I fly to Orlando at 9pm tonight

EM: so no downtime?

SL: Noo, 3 shows in 24 hours.

EM: Does it get exhausting?

SL: Well I don’t do it very often, and when I do I do it all at the same time so then I can go home have a break and work on music.

EM: Being from the US and from the West Coast, how do you feel about NY?

SL: I like it, I haven’t been able to spend a lot of time out here though, the longest I’ve stayed was like 2 days during that snowstorm when that happened. It was cool, I like walking around, just wasn’t prepared for the weather .

EM: New York is a lot different than LA!

EM: Your background is very diverse, if you had to pick which area do you feel is most you, dubstep, trance, etc. What do you most enjoy playing?

SL: I most enjoy listening to metal, however, I most enjoy playing kind of everything. I like playing everything but I won’t play stuff unless I like it. I’m not just gonna play a song that’s a banger because I think the crowd will react well, I only play what I really like. I mean, I play some cheesy chants and then I’ll play some more heavy things like dubstep, I play psy trance too, I like psytrance.

EM: You’re very diverse in what you play and produce and whatnot- so that being said: feeding off of the energy of the crowd, what kind of crowd do you like? Do you like clubs, do you like festivals, what energy do you get from both and what do you prefer?

SL: oh man, that’s tough. The crowd at clubs is much more intimate, and idk there is definitely something to be said about that, it definitely also depends on the club. I mean I definitely like playing festivals- the crowd size, the rush of playing for over thousands of people is such a rush. It’s a lot of fun especially if they all know your songs, that’s the thing about a club, generally when people go see you at a club they know the songs and are singing along- depending on the club, but I don’t play a lot of just random clubs.

EM: You’ve accomplished so much at such a young age, what has been the most memorable moment of your career thus far?

SL: I guess, probably winning the Above & Beyond remix competition. That was the coolest thing ever, I’ll always remember that because it was so unexpected. When I look back at it now, I was at work and checking to see the blog every morning to see if they announced it and then I read it and I was like there is no way I just don’t believe it and I just remember thinking this is gonna change my life, but I didn’t know how much it was going to change my life. I had no idea it would be like that, I thought hey maybe I’d get to play at some of the clubs around town and my friends will be stoked, I didn’t know it was going to be what it is now. So when I look back on that moment its something crazy.

EM: are you excited for today (playing EDC NY)?

SL: Yeah, I haven’t even been out there yet.

EM: Did that above and beyond contest start you into mixing trance stuff—

SL: we did a remix of satellite and then that allowed me to get in touch with Myon & Shane 54 and they asked me to remix the Velvetine song – it started to get the ball rolling to work with really really cool artists. It definitely did open it all up for sure.

EM: who were your greatest inspirations in music growing up?

SL: Above and beyond, didn’t really listen to a lot of electronic music- I listented to the tiesto in search of sunrise remixes but I listened to mostly metal, like Swedish metal.

EM: So now you’re doing a lot of work with OWSLA hows that going?

SL: Its good theyre fucking awesome, they’re such a good team they have so much support, played at Avalon last night and sonny and kill the noise and all the dudes came out and its nice to be a part of that because it almost feels like you’re in a band in a way.

EM: We wish you the best, and you have our support, enjoy EDC, and we appreciate your time!

This past Fall the United States was finally able to experience Sensation Innerspace- a spectacle of unique production quality and a show that boasted a lineup that impressed all house music enthusiasts. Having only been a figment of our imaginations and something we could only live vicariously through via images and YouTube videos for some time, America was finally able to get a taste of the European tradition that we had been hearing about for so long. Sensation Innerspace sold out two shows at Brooklyn's Barclays Center in October and hosted the likes of Mr. White, Joris Voorn, Nic Fanciulli, Dennis Ferrer, Danny Tenaglia, 2000 and One, Mark Knight, and Fedde Le Grand. ID&T has produced 80 shows worldwide therefore solidifying Sensation as the largest global dance music experience to date. The show left music enthusiasts wanting more, and we were uncertain at the time if this experience would be unique or if Sensation would return to us again in 2013.

We are pleased to announce that Sensation Innerspace 2012 was only the inaugural event and that our friends at ID&T will be bringing Sensation back to America this Fall. All of the fans that left wanting more will get just that, and then some. Not only will Sensation be returning to New York City, but the all-white phenomenon will in fact be stopping in multiple cities throughout the country as ID&T kick starts the Sensation US Tour. Will the sea of white be making its way to your hometown? Check out the video teaser below to find out!

We’ve seen them conquer progressive house back in January with Henrix and Digital Lab on “Hit It!”. Then they moved on to killin trap and electro house vis-a-vis “Boy Oh Boy” with the always contentious Diplo. Well, the Miami duo of Matt Toth and Julio Mejia have switched it up yet again, returning to the scene with a chilled out remix of Deadmau5 and Kaskade’s “Move For Me”. While the classic has received more attention than a Kardashian, GTA manages both to keep the original soul of the track yet dip it in a trap-like coating. The result, as you can hear below, is spectacular.
