Back to the drawing board!</p> <p>I was wondering for a while why my images look a bit crap on my new blog.</p> <p>So apparently Tumblr takes my original URLs and instead of using the link to host the image it copies the image to it’s internal server on lower quality. 1280pix would seem like decent quality but most of monitors nowadays have higher resolution and since my theme displays images in full-screen they appear extended beyond their native resolution.</p> <p>So I’m in testing mode now a bit. One of the places was in Černa Hora, Czech Republic. We spent the night in the shadow of a monastery with the sound of the small river curving behind us.</p> <p>The place is also a brewery. As I understand it was a brewery since the 1200s and still is to this day. </p> <p>The monastery looked more or less abandoned (you can see that people are doing things there but most of the windows were empty). It’s August! It was interesting because I thought of it as being a bit of gamble. In the city I could see little stars, it was fairly cloudy. And it was the same next to the sea - the only patch of clear sky was in the direction of the city. And if you’ve ever gone star gazing, you will know that that’s not good for anyone. I always talk of light pollution and it was more obvious than ever. However, I was apparently lucky and the wind blew the clouds away in around 20 minutes. Many people said that they were a high-light of the Opener festival in Poland. I don’t want to see them in a festival however, would like to go for a dedicated show. Was thinking of just flying somewhere for the show - they will be all over Scandinavia over the next few weeks. Was thinking of getting an AirBaltic voucher to use for a flight that I should get because of some baggage issues I had with them (fuller story on that when it’s over). But that’s probably not the brightest of ideas. Maybe will try to catch them in Berlin in November.
