Chris Nolan’s Inception is undoubtedly this year’s biggest hit, stealing millions of eye-balls and gluing them to fascinating world of dreams, reality, heist, thrill, and plain human psyche. Yet again Nolan proves that entertainment via movies need not always be song-and-dance, but it could be as cerebral as his new genre movies. And it is not too early to mention that he could well take up the reigns of Steven Spielberg further in the future.

The movie is based on Nolan’s nine-year old brainchild of “dream stealing” which he mastered down to details and then sold to Warner Bros. But before making it into a full-fledged movie, he trained his guns on Memento, Batman Begins, and The Dark Knight. As a result, Nolan generated tremendous hype about Inception, even before its release. The plot is fundamentally shot in “surreal” world with architectural artistry and gravity of physics transcending from the “real.” The idea of the Dom, the inceptor (Leonardo di Caprio) is to get into the dreams of victims and catch the hold of mental “secrets” on a contract-basis!

It is n’t easy though, and there are ambushes with victim’s subconscious mind who is waking up or at least trying to do so. There are frequent gun-fights, car-chases, and breaking into the dungeons that is prolonging inceptor’s stay into the dream-world. Then, there is Dom’s own fight with Mal, his wife (Marion Cotillard) who is disrupting his missions, as she thinks of him as a culprit behind her suicide. This is where Nolan has beautifully merged science of mind with human emotions, and paved a way to understand our behavioral patterns, both in the psyche and the materialistic world.

On a disappointing note, Nolan works again on two parallel worlds and the frequent transitions in between the two. The concept is already over-run in super-duper flicks like The Matrix and the recent, Avatar. But the credit still remains with Nolan, if he’s conceived the film nine years in advance. The dreams within dreams, paradoxes that question rationality, projections of inceptor’s own mind, and Totems are original and deserve acknowledgement of Nolan’s research and scientific awareness. But even then, the ambushes in the final hour seem over-stretched, and give the glimpse of those in The Matrix.

Overall, Inception is a fantastic movie to watch with concentration, although not as much (like that for Memento, his first flick) . Even if it doesn’t live up to its hype (which is huge), it doesn’t disappoint you for its filming, presentation, performances, background science, graphics, and music. It also leaves ample scope for a sequel, if I have rightfully understood the movie (or else I might have to go back and watch it again).

p.s.: I apparently ended up feasting upon a “smuggled” Pizza in the multiplex, in the hardcore desi fashion.

Are the words today which I’d like to open with. This September Dynamic22 shall complete 2 years of  its healthy ever growing existence on the blogoshpere.  It does make us breathe air of proud to see that today we have grown from our wordpress blog to this full fledged dyamic22.org site. Also we have  garnered  few more authors to this blog , who too I hope have had same fun as us. To us each person who has helped us  in whatever sense  is part of the Dyanamic22 Team.

Hence sensing the huge responsibility that readers have rested on our shoulders  we the Team Dyanamic22 have decided to go more professional at least  looks wise , rest we the still budding authors would like to encourage the ones like us who wish  blog for either hobby, passion, social change (even if virtual) or mere peace of mind.

So in accordance we  shall be  redesigning the whole blog, making other minor but necessary changes ( We believe that precision is not a small  thing but small things make precision) which demands more devotion and time, which in turn will cost us the number of articles we publish each  week.  So far Dynamic22 has regularly posted 5 articles per week, but with the given work awaiting us we shall be reducing this to 1-2 *  articles per week.  It surely dampens our spirits too to make such a drastic decision but keeping in mind our policy  ‘to change’ we have given into this format of reduced articles.

We hope that we  very soon we get our tasks done and get back to our original format of serving  our readers  5 day menu again that too with revamped Dynamic22. Untill then we request our readers to be by our side and keep encouraging us as they have for all these 2 years.
