Almost two years ago Aristocat and I attempted to run
100 miles over four days to raise $50,000 for Charity Water.

It was such a blessing to be able to do this.
Aristocat grew an inch.
I still can’t feel my left pinky toe.

Two days ago we ran the LA Marathon together for the first time.
It brought back memories of the old run.

Inspired me to FINALLY upload these pics.
From days 2 & 3 of the 100 Mile Run.
(Aristo been asking me for years.)

Day 1, neither of us took our phones with us.
Day 4, we were both too burnt out to really do anything,
and we had to DJ at noon, there was really no time.

Subconsciously I was really bummed we didn’t hit our $50k goal,
and that we didn’t have a fourth day to finish the 100 miles.

Now, two years later, I think I finally got proud of what we did.
The 121 donations we received and $13,320 we raised is nutty.

Everyone who donated, I wish I will someday be able to repay you in some way!

HUGE SPECIAL THANKS TO
Gerardo Romero, Dae Bogan, Red Bull & Vestal.
Romeo drove and followed us for four days. Alone.
Every few miles we would meet him and he would bust out nuts, liquids, energy bars, edamames, clementines, anything we needed, he had ready for us.

Dae worked his ass off to spread the word.
Got us a ton of freebies.
Hotel rooms,
Climacool gear from Reebok,
and interviews galore.

The Red Bull Indio Oasis tent was nuts, that was probably the happiest I’ve ever been DJing in there with Aristocat.

Vestal was gracious enough to let us fools run into their pristine campgrounds and spin once we arrived.

We would have been nothing without these people.

Drink water and wear a helmet!

It’s genius because it’s the best of both worlds.

You get all the power/aggression/wobbles of Electronica and merge it with all the funky/groovy/soul of Latin music.

I created most of this set for The Bridge, a crazy monthly party @ Scratch Academy. Then last week I saw Dave Nada, Dillon Francis and DJ Sabo at the Blow Your Head party @ Little Temple. So I was like fawk, gotta record this!

In middle school, our French class took a field trip to Quebec.

A giant bus drove us the whole way.
All of us packed in there, singing songs.

As we’re about to pass through the border/immigration line,
an elderly man slowly drives by the bus in the right lane.

He pulls out his dick and strokes it the whole time.

Man, those were the good days.

I think about Cave­men everyday.

Their sounds, smells, habits, & pains…

what they did in sit­u­a­tions like my own.

I’ve been cap­ti­vated by them since as long as I can remem­ber.

Think­ing about how we lived our lives hun­dreds of years ago blows my mind.

Counting Cavemen is the sequel to Counting Lazers.

I’ve been work­ing on it for almost three years.

The mix has 7 chap­ters/sections which all con­nect together. Each chap­ter has a different musical style/theme that Cave­men went through.

• Chap­ter 1: Gui­tar The very first instru­ments & sounds of the world.  Filled with live music, piano, gui­tar, grunts and claps.
• Chap­ter 2: PimpFirst cave­man pimp arrives and finds his muse.  She gets pimped. Uptempo, grind­ing, uptempo, nasty boom.
• Chap­ter 3: LovePimp falls deeply in love with his muse.  She’s a whore & breaks his heart.  Jazzy, drum & bass, smooth.
• Chap­ter 4: Dance (first cave is set aside for dance, packed with dance, dance, dance) Heartbroken Caveman moves on, creates a cave solely made for dance.  The first b-boy is born.  Packed with dance, dance, dance.
• Chap­ter 5: War World War of monstrous proportions spreads across the globe.  Hard, evil, dark, dub­step, drum & bass.
• Chap­ter 6: God Cave­men dis­cov­er & feel God.  Intro­spec­tive, magical.
• Chap­ter 7: HeavenCave­men become extinct.  Melodic, epic, powerful.
