I have this domain for another 6 months, not sure what I’ll do with it.

I’m supposed to be heading to the lake tomorrow. Well we were really going to leave today but Shawn had family stuff (which is awesome, he doesn’t see them enough imo) so we’re going to head down tomorrow. I really hope we do, I need to get away, change it up!

I’m hoping my inspiration to write, whatever it is, returns to me soon. I really do miss it.

First is a reading blog. It’s me and a few other staff members writing reviews, talking about books, etc etc. You can make requests, we might even have a read-a-long and discuss each section. It’s in the works, we just getting ready to start adding content. Check it out at ReadingRapture.wordpress.com

Second, is a new forum called Memoirs. It’s a place for bloggers as well as photographers to meet,greet, find ideas/inspiration, share tips, and chat! I wanted to start one because I couldn’t find any good forums for bloggers and there are so few photography forums that aren’t HUGE. I wanted a more personal, community feel. There will also be a general forum for non-photo/blog related talk, so anyone can join! It’s in the works right now. If you’ve ever owned a forum you know there are a lot of work to put together! I’ll post the link when it’s closer to being done.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for either of these projects, or for an entirely new project, please let me know!

First off, the obvious reason, I enjoy it. I like writing. I especially like it when it’s voluntary and I can pick the topic. Second, I like to hear feedback. There are some times when I just don’t need to hear my friends opinions, not that I don’t know love my friends to death…:) but it can just get tiring of the same thing over and over, I like to hear what other people have to say. I enjoy interacting with other people from all over the world, not to mention networking and meeting people.

All in all though… I really think it comes down to one thing. I like it. I enjoy having a site, a blog, my own little space on the web, and an outlet. Where I can write anything, everything, or nothing. I have control. I don’t have to censor myself or watch what I say. I don’t have to worry that I’ll say something too loud, or that someone who shouldn’t hear will. I run the show. Nobodies life is perfect and everyone has ups and downs. The nice thing is being able to control how, where and to whom you speak to.

Comments are always a nice touch. Knowing there are people out there who enjoy reading what you have to say. What’s even better is when people subscribe and come back. It’s a great feeling.

I have to work tomorrow, I’m hungry, we have no food. Grrr I’m in a ranty mood. I could complain about everything right now lol.

I’m obviously overtired and should not be writing right now. Oh and random fact: I just saw that Akismet and blocked over 2650 spam comments already! OMG that’s insane! Contemplating changing my Flickr and Twitter names to OhKristin so that everything matches. Thoughts?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the photography thing. How it depresses me to see such amazing photos and not be able to work on my own little projects. I’ve been wanting to start a photo blog forever! The only thing I’m lacking is a camera. If you’ve read any of my previous entries you’ll know my camera was stolen. It wasn’t anything great for the kind of work I want to do, but it was something. I’m going to start saving for something better. I’m really stuck as of what to get. I’ve seen photos taken with a Nikon D60 and they are amazing. I believe Brent has one. I’ve also been looking at the Canon XSi, which is to die for as well. Any input would be much appreciated. I think I might shop around tomorrow and get prices at local shops. Can’t wait to get started!

Hahaha it was a good night for the most part. The part where one of our friend’s (Nate) was being an asshole and acting like he’s better than all of us because he’s taking post-secondary right now. 90% of the people at that party, aren’t in post-secondary. Everyone’s sick of his shit and constantly looking down on everyone. Dylan finally had enough and pushed him around a bit. Someone even had it on tape! I’m not happy about that but what can you do, if I happen to find the video on youtube or anything I’ll post it.

I just drove Dylan to pick up his car and what do we find? The whole passenger back door is keyed up, kicked and even has a tiny hole in it! After Nate left in his drunken walk back to his car, which he DROVE home when he only lives like two blocks away, he decided to annihilate the side of Dylan’s car. wtf. idiot. Everyone there last night agreed that Dylan was right to push him around and get in his face. He’s been going on and on about him and college for months and everyone’s really sick of it. I feel terrible about Dylan’s car door though. Nate better pay for it.

I wanted an exciting weekend, well I got one.

I was hoping to get some input from some of my readers. I’m really having a hard time figuring out what I want to do. However, I really want to go back to school so I can start my career now while I’m young, then I can start putting money away and getting settled (hopefully moving out with Dylan).

What did you/are you taking? How long is it? What did you need to get in? Do you have any suggestions for programs/courses that aren’t 4 year degrees?

Oh yeah, and I’m no longer a single girl. Dylan and I got together a few weeks ago and it’s been a blast so far! We’re planning on moving out together this summer. For those of you who don’t know anything about me and Dylan, we’ve been dating on and off for two years now, and we’re finally together now. Doesn’t it just warm your heart? Heheh

I had my 19th birthday, which means I’m of legal age in Saskatchewan. It’s nice to be able to go to the bar and just hang out, have a few drinks and relax. Dylan and I have been doing a lot of that, and playing World of Warcraft haha. It’s nice to have a lazy day sometimes. Especially now I’m on my feet so much, my legs kill me. Taking it easy feels awesome.

I guess that’s a bit of an update… I’ll blog again soon, I promise!

I got in a big fight with my parents last night, which is part of the reason I ws at Shawn’s and stayed up so late. It’s a long drawn out story, but I’m basically sick of them treating me like I’m 14 years old. I know, I know. It sounds cliche but it’s like… GTFO. Even my best friend’s mom agrees with me. I pretty much took my extra set of keys and took off. I got 2 more keys cut today for my car because they seem to think they can take my keys away. Now I’m set hahaha. I really don’t know what’s going to be happening in the near future with everything. My dad seemed to think he could “ground me from my laptop for a week”. It’s quite comical but sad at the same time. I’ll do what I can, trying to cut this effing cord already, I’m 19 years old FFS! Anyway.. that’s enough ranting.

Heather (my best friend) and I are really starting to think about moving out. Like where, with who (just us two or another person too?), how much, apartment or house. So much to think about. Now that I have a full time job however, moving out seems to be a much more tangible thing. I’m actually going to look at some places right now! So now that I have my job, the next chapter in my life is…. moving out. I can’t wait.
