It’s Turtle Time! Do you feed lettuce to your pet turtle? Turtles want more than just boring pellets. Lettuce is an easy and nutritional food for your reptile. And it’s fun for them to tear apart to eat.

Let’s enjoy an afternoon with my pets – two turtles and my cat too! After feeding, I let the animals outside on the patio to enjoy the sun. One turtle gets some exercise. Maybe a little too much exercise.

In the 17th century, there is a story in the high seas, where many a sailor’s life was swept away, not by the hurricanes or white squalls of the angry oceans, but rather, by a great sea creature, known as the Kraken, or Giant Octopus!

As night falls, the monster’s tentacles slithers aboard the Buccaneer, capturing every sailor, one by one, as a scrumptious morsel. Even the courageous captain defends his honor, with scimitar in hand, only to go down with his ship.

In honor of springtime being around the corner, and animals coming out of hibernation, I did a turtle drawing. The Painted Turtle is one the most common and lovable of the freshwater turtle species. When you hike by the lake or river, chances are you will see the Painted Turtle sunbathing. I made stickers out of my drawing :)

For the Lunar New Year, I do a drawing of a horse. It’s a different kind of animal for me to sketch. I usually like drawing sea life or dinosaurs. The horse came out pretty well, galloping in motion, so I made it into greeting cards. What do you think? Feel free to check them out in my shop.

It’s a frigid winter on east coast and I need a vacation. How about a getaway in sunny California? Have you ever wondered where Route 66 ends? Well, let’s do a road trip. I will show you a few fun things to do in So Cal, such as see the first original McDonald’s, biking on Venice Beach and hanging out at the Santa Monica Pier. Oh, and do some beach walking and bird watching there too.

It is commonly known that bigger baits get bigger fish. But I found smaller 4-inch Yamasenkos in the bargain bin at the bait shop. I try them out to see if bigger Smallmouth Bass will bother to attack the smaller size worm. Can you catch nice sized fish with such a small lure? Come with me to the river and find out!

Also, this time of year, there are a lot of black birds gathering in the trees. Afterwards, let’s go Hiking to see the beautiful colors of Fall time (with my baby who had his first birthday recently).
