Happy Labor Day. I hope you enjoy a lot of rest on this labor day. We’ve enjoyed a lazy weekend together as a family and yesterday morning I caught my oldest boy laying on the bed reading to his Daddy. I really think I may have the best hubby ever. He was laying there listening so intently to his little boy reading him a story. So so sweet. And as I looked a little closer at my sweet husband, I noticed something on his shirt. Oh, it’s playdough that was given to him by his other little boy. He was supposed to save that and so… he was. I love you honey. You are awesome.

my little drew and preschool

Today was Drew’s first day at the little montessori preschool. He was so excited. As his big brother already went off to kindergarten last week, today was Drew’s special day. So, we had to go get donuts first to celebrate! Right? So proud of my big boy Drew.

Oh…to be a kid and choose a chocolate donut with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles. And then…to be able to put a socially inappropriate amount in your mouth when finishing it off…. must be fun!

He was very excited. Can you tell?

And in the pic on the right, he’s just checking out the classroom a bit before actually committing and going in. :)

little boy luke, 6 months old

This is Luke. He’s awesome. He’s happy. He’s sweet. He’s chunky. He’s a blessing. Love everything about his little simple self.

Do you have a baby or little ones? Well, for you mamas out there…. do you remember those times that your baby was so very happy that when he or she smiled, it wasn’t even a smile, it was just a big open mouth? Sometimes so big that his tongue got in the way? Sometimes so big that he’d lose his balance and fall backward because he was smiling so big and for some reason when they smile big, they smile up? Right? :) Well, here are some of those smiles. Like I said…. Luke is Awesome, with a capital A. :)

I love receiving beautiful birth announcements in the mail. Especially when they are covered with beautiful pictures of sweet newborn babies. Don’t you? Well, I’ve just update my birth announcements. So, if you’re getting ready to have a baby and you’re excited about showing off your baby or know someone who is…check em out! You can view them on my website. They can be ordered in different lovely textured papers: watercolor, matte, linen, and pearl. They are 5×7 or 5×5, folded cards or flat cards, and of course they all come with envelopes.

Friday… what a week…we started kindergarten for the first time. Here are my favorites from this week:

Seeing my little Kyle and his excitement for his first day of kindergarten… awesome!
Making yummy chocolate peanut butter cookies with my little boys. Deeelish!
Eating the dough from the chocolate peanut butter cookies. Mmm, mmm (the dough’s the best part you know)
My husband. He’s an amazing, awesome man. I am so grateful to be attached to him.

Not so faves (I know, should be positive, but really…)

Getting up and getting my kids out of the house for school, every day. Really? It just keeps going every day? Really? Even if my kids are tired. Hmmm…. this is new.
The super duper heat. Not a fan.

World, this is Bennet. Bennet…..world. I’m loving the little chunky rolls that appear when I squish this baby boy all together into a ball. Lovely. And I think this little man is going to be well taken care of by his two big sisters. Right? :)

last week’s photography workshop

We had a photography workshop last week where some sweet ladies came over and brought their fancy cameras. We all sat down and put them on manual and learned, played, and shot all day.
