Keep in mind that most girls on Match, POF or Zoosk, probably get 20 – 70 emails a day. Even the fat chicks get bombarded with emails! You need to stand out big time if you want to get laid on Match, POF or any other site.

 I first want to explore the 3 worst’s types of emails that you should never send:

1. The “I’m nervous” email – have you ever sent an email like this “Hi – I really liked your profile errr and if you like mine then write me back.” If you did you sounded like a loser! Never ever write this email you will never get a response.
2. The “vomit on the keyboard” email – just going on and on with listing everything you read on her profile and how much you loved it. Don’t be a dumbass! This is awful and your email will be deleted.  
3. The “douchebag” email – okay never sent an email where you open with a sexual comment or brag about your 6 inch cock. Or using words like “Yo”, “Wassss up”, “Holla at ya”. Trust me she will email her girlfriends and they will all laugh at you. Also never talk about yourself and brag about your material belongings – you will come off like a non confident douche.

 Hot Tip: Do yourself a favor and READ HER PROFILE!

 Okay now you know the worst emails to send, let’s explore what makes for a successful online dating email message.  

1. An email where you prove you actually read her profile – find one commonality or whatever you find cute and go to step 2
2. Ask an open-ended question! This is the opposite of a simple yes or no question. For example: “Ahhhh I see you play guitar, who is your favorite guitarist?” The point here is to make her think on what to respond.
   
3. Short and sweet 3 – 4 sentences tops. Also use correct grammar and spelling. Avoid all types of “text speak” using OMG, IDK, yo yo I see you a lookin fine az shiet. That is just plain stupid.

 Hot Tip: On the 1^st email never ask for her name, phone number or ask her out for coffee or drinks. You will sound too aggressive and maybe scare her away. Trust me I made this mistake when I changed my 1^st message routine and my responses dropped off the map!

 Final Tip: Your email is merely a tool for her to look at your profile. That’s it! Don’t have high expectations that every woman reading your email will automatically email you back wanting a date.

Alright back to business – I want to talk to all the guys on Match and POF who are getting responses to winks and emails but are blowing the transition in getting her phone number.

So what is today’s lesson?

DON’T ask for her number right away! You will creep her out or she simply won’t respond to your 2nd follow up message. Remember she responded to your wink or email because she thinks you’re cute and you seem like a fun guy.

She responded with a ‘Hello’ – so your job is to charm her and basically exchange 3 to 4 emails each on basic info about each other (likes, dislikes, commonalities etc). If your second message is: “Hey what is your number?” you will come off needy/clingy and you’ll scare her away.

I always look for commonalities in her profile and will write something back and ask a couple of questions about her pictures, hobbies…whatever…you get the point.

I’ve always used this simple method with huge success but today was the 1st time a cutie on Match.com said “you’ve passed the weirdo test I can’t wait to talk to you”.

I think I see some panties dropping soon!!

Now I want to talk about something I see more and more on Match.com and POF. It’s when you decide to send an email to that lucky gal and you write something bland and boring like:

Subject: “Hi”

Body: “From your profile you seem like a positive, genuine, down to earth girl. I’d like to get to know you a little more – you just seem more than what you put on your profile. Looking forward to chatting with you…”

Okay the first thing wrong is the subject line – “Hi” or “What’s Sup” simply doesn’t work. Remember one thing these women are getting bombarded with emails and the first thing they see is the subject line.

You need to set yourself apart right away and that means putting some thought into that email.

Why am I saying this? I see more and more profiles from women that are requesting potential guys not to say “Hi”, “Sup” or “How’s it going”

I have read it right there at the end of their profiles – they are begging men not to do that and be a little more original. Okay so how do you overcome this? Of course I had to eavesdrop on the conversation and the co-worker answered – “Oh he was handsome and has it all together BUT there was….I don’t know”

Okay at this point I’m like alright well what happened? She answered that basically it was a dull date and he didn’t really attract her.
